The Purpose Of This Paper Is To Use A Tactile Sensor To Compensate The Error Rate. Most Automated Sphygmomanometers Use The Oscillometric Method And Characteristic Ratio To Estimate Systolic And Diastolic Blood Pressure. However, Based On The Fact That Maximum Amplitude Of The Oscillometric Waveform And Characteristic Ratio Are Affected By Compliance Of The Aorta And Large Arteries, A Method To Measure The Artery Stiffness By Using A Tactile Sensor Was Chosen In Order To Integrate It With The Sphygmomanometer In The Future Instead Of Using Photoplethysmography. Since Tactile Sensors Have Very Weak Movements, Efforts Were Made To Maintain The Subject's Arm In A Fixed Position, And A 40hz Low Pass Filter Was Used To Eliminate Noise From The Power Source As Well As High Frequency Noise. An Analyzing Program Was Made To Get Time Delay Between The First And Second Peak Of The Averaged Digital Volume Pulse(${\Delta}t_{dvp}$), And The Subject's Height Was Divided By ${\Delta}t_{dvp}$ To Calculate The Stiffness Index Of The Arteries($Si_{dvp}$). Regression Equations Of Systolic And Diastolic Pressure Using $Si_{dvp}$ And Mean Arterial Pressure(Map) Were Computed From The Test Group (60 Subjects) Among A Total Of 121 Subjects(Age: $44.9{\pm}16.5$, Male: Female=40:81) And Were Tested In 61 Subjects To Compensate The Error Rate. Error Rates Considering All Subjects Were Systolic $4.62{\pm}9.39mmhg$, And Diastolic $14.40{\pm}9.62mmhg$, And Those In The Test Set Were $3.48{\pm}9.32mmhg,\;And\;14.34{\pm}9.67mmhg$ Each. Consequently, Error Rates Were Compensated Especially In Diastolic Pressure Using $Si_{dvp}$, Various Slopes From Digital Volume Pulse And Map To Systolic-$1.91{\pm}7.57mmhg$ And Diastolic $0.05{\pm}7.49mmhg$.

An airborne radar is an essential aviation electronic system of the helicopter to perform various missions in all-weather environments. This paper presents the results of the design and implementation of the airborne pulse doppler radar signal processor using high multi-DSP for the multi-function radar capability such as short-range, midium-range, and long-range depending on the mission of the vehicle. A Stepped Frequency Radar(SFR) is a method of achieving high range resolution by gradually increasing the frequency of a transmitted pulse to create a wide synthetic bandwidth. However, in the case of moving target, accurate range estimation can not be performed due to the range-Doppler coupling phenomenon, so it is necessary to compensate through accurate velocity estimation. In this paper, we propose a stepped frequency radar waveform with a Coherent Pulse Train(CPT), velocity estimation results according to parameters using this method and VMD(Velocity Measurement Data) were compared and analyzed by numerical simulations.

In Sasang constitutional medicine, doctors diagnose and treat patients according to their Sasang consitutition (SC) type. In this work, by a clinical test with a radial pulse tonometer, we investigated radial pulse properties which were significant in distinguishing unhealthy subjects from healthy subjects for each SC type. We measured radial pulse properties on left and right Gwan locations with a pulse tonometer for 299 elderly female subjects of age of 50 years old or above. We used a newly developed SCAT system to determine subjects' SC types. Subjects' health levels of either healthy or unhealthy were determined independently by two Korean medical doctors. To investigate the statistical differences, we used either of Student's t-test or Mann-Whitney U test depending on the normality of distribution of test statistic. For TE type, unhealthy subjects were characterized with significant increases in heart rate, systolic to diastolic period, pulse depth, while they showed significant decreases in width of pulse in normal direction, pulse area in diastolic period, and high harmonic components (6th, 7th) of power spectral density. For SE type, unhealthy subjects were characterized with significant increases in pulse pressure and pulse depth, while no significant differences were found for SY type. We investigated the characteristic differences in radial pulse properties due to change in health levels on each SC type for elderly females. Pulse variables which were significantly different between healthy subjects and unhealthy subjects were found to vary between SC types. For TE type subjects, many variables were found significant at the left Gwan location, which is in support of the theory of hyperactive liver functioning for TE type. Irrespective of the constitution, the related changes in the pulse properties due to worsened health level were in support of elevated blood flow amount in compensation with weakened blood circulatory function.

In this study, ray-tracing software was used to calculate the optical path length of an optical system. Using the optical path length, the optical phase, group delay (GD), group delay dispersion (GDD), and third-order dispersion (TOD) of the optical system were obtained. Pulse compressors using a prism pair or grating pair were designed to compensate the GDD of a real optical system for a femtosecond fiber laser. Also, a pulse stretcher using a grating pair with lenses or mirrors was designed. The results of this study can be used to calculate the dispersion of an optical system and optimize the performance of an ultrashort pulse laser optical system.
The use of LCL filters in pulse width modulation voltage source converters is a standard solution for providing proper attenuation of high-order grid-current harmonics. However, these filters can cause the undesired effect of resonance. This paper proposes an active damping strategy with harmonics compensation. It can alleviate the harmonics around the resonance frequency caused by the LCL filters. The proposed strategy is attractive since it is simple, does not depend on grid parameters and does not increase the number of sensors. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed active damping strategy.
This paper presents a robust and speed-sensorless stator flux estimation for induction motor direct torque control. The proposed observer is based on sliding mode approach. Stator electrical equations are used in the rotor orientation reference frame to eliminate the observer dependence on rotor speed. Lyapunov's concept for systems stability is adopted to confine the observer gain. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the observer to parameter mismatch is recovered with an adaptation technique. The nonlinearities of the pulse width modulation voltage source inverter are estimated and compensated to enhance stability at low speeds. Therefore, a new method based on the model reference adaptive system is proposed. Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Generally, because of the cost and the restricted manufacture standard, the motor control for home appliance have been used the method using hall sensors or the sensorless method. In the conventional sensorless method using home appliance, the resistor and the back-EMF coefficient are varied by the motor speed and the load torque. Therefore, these variations cause the position error when the sensorless control is operated. This paper proposes the compensation method for sensorless position error using 2-hall sensor pulse signals.

This paper proposes a stand alone type single-phase fuel cells micro-source with a voltage sag compensator for compensating the ac output voltage variations (sag or swell) of micro-source. The proposed micro-source is consist of a PEM(polymer electrolyte membrane) fuel cells simulator, a full bridge de converter, a 60Hz PWM(pulse width modulation) VSI(voltage source inverter), and a voltage sag compensator. Voltage sag compensator is similar to the configuration of hybrid series active power filter, and it is directly connected to micro-source through the injection transformer. Compensation algorithm of a voltage sag compensator adopts a single phase p-q theory. Effectiveness of the proposed the system is verified by the PSIM(power electronics simulation tool) simulation in the steady state and transient state which the proposed system is able to simultaneously compensate the harmonic current and source voltage sag or swell.
