  • This paper is a study on locality in architecture in Jeju with the theme of locality of architecture. This paper, as the last research paper in this series of studies, is a paper that verifies whether there is anything other than the locality revealed in the categories of 'hermeneutic' and 'phenomenal'. To this end, in this paper, the regional characteristics of the buildings of five Jeju IT companies were analyzed. As a result, the elements reflected in the architecture in terms of the locality of Jeju were quite insufficient. This can be seen as a result of the fact that the corporate image is important in terms of the architecture of an IT company. Nevertheless, if we summarize the elements that reflect the characteristics of Jeju in IT architecture, it is the wind and oreum used as architectural concepts, and Jeju stone used as the exterior finish. In conclusion, it could be seen that the regional characteristics of wind, oreum, and Jeju stone were used in IT architecture, and it was also found that these characteristics were within the scope of interpretive locality and phenomenal locality. Soon, it was found that the locality of Jeju architecture was within the hermeneutic and phenomenal category.

  • Rapid development of information and communication technology is leading the digital transformation (hereinafter, DT) of various industries. At this point in rapid online transition, fashion manufacturers operating offline-oriented businesses have become highly interested in DT and artificial intelligence (hereinafter AI), which leads DT. The purpose of this study is to examine the development status and application case of AI-based digital technology developed for the fashion industry, and to examine the DT stage and AI application status of domestic fashion manufacturers. Hence, in-depth interviews were conducted with five domestic IT companies developing AI technology for the fashion industry and six domestic fashion manufacturers applying AI technology. After analyzing interviews, study results were as follows: The seven major AI technologies leading the DT of the fashion industry were fashion image recognition, trend analysis, prediction & visualization, automated fashion design generation, demand forecast & optimizing inventory, optimizing logistics, curation, and ad-tech. It was found that domestic fashion manufacturers were striving for innovative changes through DT although the DT stage varied from company to company. This study is of academic significance as it organized technologies specialized in fashion business by analyzing AI-based digitization element technologies that lead DT in the fashion industry. It is also expected to serve as basic study when DT and AI technology development are applied to the fashion field so that traditional domestic fashion manufacturers showing low growth can rise again.

  • In this paper, the sizing removal condition for the pretreatment of composite materials is obtained numerically by applying an image processing algorithm and nickel-plated carbon fiber is fabricated by a dry process method to enhance its electromagnetic shielding performance. Sizings that are wrapped in a polymer type material during the manufacturing of carbon fiber should be removed for dry coating. A numerical value, that is the correlation, can be obtained by determining the regular pattern of the carbon fiber in the image taken by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) after the sizing is removed. The application of the proposed numerical method to the SEM image of the fiber after the sizing is removed with solution, compressed air, solution and compressed air (hybrid), showed that this method of eliminating the sizing is superior to the hybrid method. Then, by spreading the carbon fiber roll with the sizing removed, we were able to produce nickel plated carbon fiber by the roll-to-roll sputtering method. The electromagnetic shielding performance of the fabricated 30, 40 and 100 nickel coated carbon fibers was measured. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology evaluated the electromagnetic shielding performance of the 100 nickel-coated carbon fiber to have a maximum value of 73.2 (dB) and a minimum value of 66.7 (dB). This is similar to the electromagnetic shielding rate of copper and shows that this material can be used as a cable for EV / HEV automobiles.

  • Companies are required to invest in numerous intial marketing costs for establishing brand power, thus, many companies in the foodservice industry are increasing their budgets on communication to strengthen their own brand equity components such as brand recognition, brand royalty, perceived quality and associated image using mass media that has not been used before. For this study, 617 samples were analyzed by such analytic methods as a frequency analysis, cross-tabulation, a factor analysis and a reliability analysis for validity, and a confirmatory factory analysis, a model adequacy evaluation, and a path analysis using AMOS 17.0. The hypothesis verification by the AMOS analysis has revealed that all hypotheses positively influenced contract foodservice brands, and the brand recognition of a university contract foodservice company has an impact on sincerity and refinement. Therefore, positive brand image formation encourages strong brand establishment between a university contract foodservice business and customers, and this study strongly suggests continuous further studies about constructing a positive brand image.

A questionnaire survey was carried out for 235 college students in Seoul, Korea. The participants were given an instruction with CSR activity of company in food industry and completed the survey. We collected the survey and did the statistical analysis by SPSS. The result of this study was as follows: Significant differences (p < 0.05) were found between the two groups, one was aware of corporation's CSR activity and the other was not. The ranges of score of each question on corporate images after and before providing CSR information were 3.21-3.94 and 3.89-4.62, respectively. Also, the ranges of score of each question on repurchase intention after and before providing CSR information were 3.11-4.64 and 3.60-4.67, respectively. Thus, the result confirms that the previous studies' conclusion which explains CSR can shield consumers' negative attitude toward the company. The finding of this study emphasizes the importance of CSR activity to the companies in food industry and the need for making public awareness of CSR activity.

  • This study aims to establish the concepts of overindulgence and addiction and present proposals on game policies and marketing for game companies by identifying relationship among game product loyalty, game company loyalty, and game company profitability from the psychological viewpoint (game overindulgence and addiction) of online and mobile gamers. Accordingly, this study has the following implications. First, government should realize the fact even gamers are confused over differences in such concepts concerning game and have processes to reestablish game overindulgence and game addiction and follow policies to establish such images. Second, loyalty to game products should be enhanced by highlighting the features to buy items and additional contents through game networks as well as features to share contents and records generated within games for those with overindulgence. Moreover, companies should strengthen publicity to increase loyalty to game companies. Conversely, the focus should be on game product image rather than corporate image. Third, game companies should engage in strategies for the game's direction, development, and marketing to establish positive brand based on game products and help become the brand of the corporation itself. Fourth, there is a necessity to increase gamers and study their satisfaction rate based on game development and efficient marketing.
