  • This paper deals with the S/W development of web-based warehouse management system using ubiquitous RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). This S/W System supports the realtime inventory management and collaborative operations of relational companies in SCM. We expect to decrease the logistic cost and to upgrade the status of WMS and competitive power of company.

  • The research and development of oriental cosmetics should be the national strategic industry because the oriental cosmetics have competitive power. To activate the industry of oriental cosmetics the support of government is needed. The governments should know the value of oriental cosmetic industry and invest the research and development. The prolonged investment on research and marketing of company and support of government will make the oriental cosmetics progress.

  • Design becomes a source of new competitive power in the boundless global market so-called globalization. The competitive power in business was lied in the technology in 70's and the design was understood as a styling or graphic means. However, the design has become more important means to get the competitive power in business since 1980. World businesses have found the fact that it has a super competitive power to make the product's performance as well as its dignity rather than it is to determine the product's external view or color. The change of design policy in Phillips, one of the world's leading producers of electronic products, is not much different. Design manager's power was limited until 70's. However, Phillips has focused its business strategy on the higher competitive power since 1980 and they welcomed Robert Blaich, vice president of design and development at Herman Miller Inc., to be a member of the company, expanding the importance of design along with restructure while working on the globalization. Meanwhile, Stefano Marzano, a Senior Director in 90's, established a high design concept, working on the strategic futures to get customer-oriented and for successful commercialization. The vision of the future developed over 3 years until 1996 was to forecast 10 years coming up and create a new value while achieving the business target through the design as an innovative design in bracing for the information network era.

  • Ultra-high voltage transformer industry has characteristic of small quantity batch production system by other order processing unlike general mass production systems. In this industry, observance of time deadline is very important in market competitive power security and company continued existence. The transformer winding is a process that rolls a coil is coated with an electric insulation material in order to generate the required voltage using the voltage fluctuation. The winding process is very important production process in the extra-high voltage transformer manufacturing industry because winding process is core process that occupy weight about half of whole process and is process that decide current ratio of transformer. This paper proposes a statistical calculation and control method of planned leadtime on the basis of real data and informations for the A company in transformer winding process. Moreover, we develop unit process scheduling system.

  • Combined cycle plants which feature distinct advantages for power generation such as fast response, high efficiency, environmental friendliness, fuel flexiblity represent the majority of new generating plant installations across the globe. Combined cycle plants have different operating modes where the operating parameters can differ greatly depending which mode is operating at the time. This paper addresses the bidding strategy model of combined cycle plants in a competitive electricity market by using a characteristic of multiple operating modes of combined cycle plants. Simulation results of case studies show that an operating mode among multiple ones is selected strategically in generation bidding for more profit of generation company.

  • The paper reviews briefly of the codes above, together with the effects of the successful introduction of the QMS into the shipping industry. This paper suggests a conceptual prototype for a quality management system (QMS) of seafaring labour, which itself would be a sub-system of the total quality management (TQM) system in a shipping company, on the basis of the ISM and the ISMA Codes, ISO 9002, ISO 9004, and other quality management guidelines. The QMS is essential for the survival of the Korean shipping industry. It will contribute not only to assuring the quality of crew, but also, consequently, to increasing the international competitive edge of the shipping companies in Korea.

  • Information is used effectively and contributes in profit creation and not only support management judgment quick but important resource to be possible recycled. The recent information systems improve enterprise's competitive power by reflection of user's various requirements and becoming big and complex for adaptation of rapidly circumstance change. Also it is trend that importance of information quality is emphasized gradually. The biggest problem in user requirement that is based on low quality data support. In case of business management is achieved by low quality information, company can not help dropping their competitive power such as company's strategy establishment, strategy achievement and management concentration breakup against competitor. Information of low quality increase time and expense to improve inaccurate data or revise and it is hard to accept correct information from specific situation. To solve these problems, we have to gain high quality data through definite comprehension, data management system establishment, and systematic data management achievement etc. Up to now, information quality and connected study were developed partially, but systematic methodology of information quality management's whole condition was not existed. Therefore, in this paper can show you how to extract process for information quality management & related evaluate factor with CMM (Capacity Maturity Mode]) 5 steps that is information warranty of quality process step. This paper whishes to contributes in competitive company or organization activity through information quality improvement management process.

  • The basic concept of an improved business and productivity for Small and Medium Sized Enterprizes, which makes use of an information portal, is to assure competitive power, increase the production quantity through the interchange of a company and the outside environment, and to build cooperation. A process of developing experimental Korean image fashion items focused on jeans and T-shirts (한국의 이미지를 이용한 의류상품개발 모델의 연구 -청바지와 티셔츠를 중심으로-)

  • This study is a process of developing experimental Korean image fashion items that can appeal to the younger generation. The sample models are focused on jeans and T-shirts. This project had two goals. First, giving chance to the students of Konkuk-University of producing fashion items adopting Korean image in university venture company. Second, contributing to Korean image fashion market if the items have been proved to have competitive power through the market of Konkuk-University and it's cooperated company. The research is restricted within ornament techniques of Korean traditional dress and its ornament's element, they are patchwork wrapping-cloth(Chokakbo), embroidery, gold and silver foil on cloths, and transcription. Such Korean image elements are graphic patterned as 30 jeans and 50 T-shirts and eventually evaluated by 100 university students majoring in garments. The evaluation scale contains repletion of Korean image, possibility of market, and preference. Through this process, 6 jeans and 7 T-shirts were produced.
