아동을 위한 지역사회 지원기관 : 놀이터, 어린이 도서관, 청소년 기관 (Local Community Center for Children : Playground, Children's Library, and Youth Center)

  • This study aimed to explore the current status of playgrounds, children's libraries and youth centers as local community centers in support of children. Its data were collected from reviewing the relevant literature, interviews, surveys and web search. It was found that children's libraries were predominantly located in Seoul and Kyungki provinces. In comparison with other advanced countries, Korea had lower ratios of volumes of books and periodicals per the library user and of a number of staff per the user. It was also found that over a half number of playgrounds was placed in apartment areas. Since 1993, the long-term youth development plan has commenced the construction of various societal infrastructure such as local youth centers, counseling institutes, sex-culture centers and youth cultural zones. Based on these findings, some policy issues were raised.

농촌청소년의 직업의사결정 분석 (A Study on Vocational Decision Making of Rural Youth)

  • The purposes of this study were to explore the differences of decision making in farming settlement and to analyze attributes for vocational decision making of rural youth. The study was carried out by literature review and questionnaire. To analyze vocational decision making of rural youth, the data were collected from 196 rural youth by stratified random sampling. The SPSSWIN/ver10 was used for analyzing data with frequency, percentage, t-test ANOVA and factor analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows; 1) Rural youth decided to become farmers at the middle and high school stage for farming succession and eco-friendly life orientation. 2) Youth parents were the major source of influence on their rural youth to settle in farming. 3) Rural youth with high economic status, upper academic achievement and university graduation showed higher autonomous decision making and lower heteronomous decision making. 4) Rural youth with low economic status and low academic achievement showed unstable vocational decision making. 5) The study suggested that rural youth with unstable decision making should get more educational opportunities and supports.

도시지역 청소년수련관 유형별 공간계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Space Planning of Youth Centers in Urban)

  • The space planning and interior lay out of youth centers should be determined carefully for youth education and leisure after school which is considered cultural exchange, hobby, physical training in area of the daily life and to prevent unvaried or unwanted situation in the interior space. Recently, the youth center in youth facilities is architectural planning and managing without consideration of conditions of location environment, regional characteristics and prior condition of space. This paper try to provide basic architectural concept of the space planning for youth centers in urban. On the bases of survey and analysis, the basic data for youth centers have been proposed in consideration of the development of youth activity and community environment in korea. The results of the study were firstly, general basic data for the general architectural planning, secondly, guidelines for the space planning of youth centers in urban, thirdly, new alternative youth centers with 3 types.

지역사회 청소년을 위한 소프트웨어 교육 기반 ESG 공학교육 사례 연구 (Case Study on ESG Engineering Education based on Software Education for Community Youth)

  • Recently, in terms of the future education, the need of the software education according to the 4th industrial revolution and the need of the ESG(environmental, social and governance) education according to social requests for sustainability are increasing at the same time. There may be a number of ways to satisfy the needs at the same time. In this paper, as an effort for meaningful implementation of the future education, a case study on the ESG engineering education based on the software education for community youth was analyzed and a future development direction was suggested. This ESG engineering education deals with the development and application of the program considering terms of target, method and implementation in order to enhance its systematicity and using physical computing and upcycling methods and a collaborative education support system. To verify the education program, a survey is performed and analyzed. Through this, the basis of an software education-based ESG engineering education model was established.

초등학생 방과후 돌봄 서비스 분석과 개선방안 (Analysis of an After-school Care Service Program for Elementary School Children and Suggestions for Improvement)

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest some measures to improve policy issues by analyzing policy related to a child care service program in the community. Gilbert and Terrell's social policy analysis framework is used to analyze an after-school care service program for elementary school children. Furthermore, the Elementary Care Class(including the After-school Program), Youth After-school Academy, and Community Child Center, referred to as public care services, are employed to analyze community care service programs for children. The Elementary Care Class, Youth After-school Academy and Community Child Center are very similar in terms of the contents and application of the care service program for children, and mainly serve children in low-income groups. In addition, although user overlapping is an inevitable problem because the operating time of the Elementary Care Class and After-school Program coincides with that of the Youth After-school Academy and Community Child Center, it is structurally very hard to adjust the content of service, operating time, and so on because of differences in the delivery system for each program. Therefore, it is necessary to generate a unified delivery system to manage after-school care service programs for children and create a new special control tower to solve these problems. Furthermore, it is needed to extend the services to children from general double-income family, which is a blind spot of the care service.

농어촌 청소년 복지시설의 문제점과 해결 방안 (The Present Conditions of Rural Youth Welfare Facilities and Policy Measures for Development)

  • Rural youth welfare was defined to provide the preventive services as well as the protective and curative services such as education, job training, youth activity, delinquency prevention, etc. for rural youth who live in rural society, including who go out to metropolitan city for study. Based on this concept, the rural youth related facilities and problems were investigated in the area of education, culture and leisure, career, and problematic behavior. The results were identified that the efforts of government and rural related institutions were in sufficient to establish and improve the facilities for rural youth, and the gap between rural and urban youth facilities was extended increasingly, in spite of seriousness of those rural youth problems. Some of policies and programs were proposed in order to improve rural youth welfare; 1) To establish at least one activity facility in every Eup ; 2) To convert the public culture facilities such as museums, fine art museums, exhibition facilities, etc. into the culture and art facilities for rural youth; 3) To establish rural youth job information center in the agricultural technology and extension center; 4) To convert school to rural youth education and cultural center; 5) To establish the comprehensive welfare facilities for rural youth in metropolitan city.

도시와 농산어촌 아동청소년의 복지와 여가수준 비교연구 (Welfare and Leisure of Children and Youth in Urban and Rural Areas)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 도시의 아동청소년의 복지 및 여가 수준을 농산어촌 아동청소년과 비교하고, 아울러 그들의 삶의 만족도에 주는 요인을 규명하는 것이다. 연구방법: 한국청소년정책연구원에서 생산하고 있는 제4차 청소년패널 데이터를 활용하였다. 표 본수는 총 3,145이었고, 평균 연령은 17세(고2)이었다. T-test와 다중회귀분석이 분석에 사용되었다. 결과: 거의 모든 복지관련 변수에서, 삶의 만족도, 여가만족도, 부모애착, 교사 및 학우관계, 농산어촌 아동청소년은 도시 아동청소년에 비해 낮은 점수를 나타내었다. 비록 도시 아동청소년이 농산어촌보다 높은 스트레스와 학업부담을 갖고 있기는 하지만, 그들의 복지수준은 농산어촌보다 높다고 할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 그들의 스트레스는 곧 도시 아동청소년의 밝은 미래를 보장하기 때문이다. 농산어촌 아동청소년이 도시에 비해 높은 점수를 보이고 있는 유일한 변수는 지역요인에 있었다. 삶의 만족도를 설명하는 가장 영향력 있는 변수인 여가수준에 있어서도, 농산어촌 아동청소년은 불리한 상황에 있다. 농산어촌에는 여가시설에의 접근도가 낮고, 여가시설 자체가 부족하기 때문이다. 결론: 농산어촌 아동청소년의 복지와 여가수준을 제고하기 위한 방안으로 본 연구에서는 농산어촌에 대한 인프라 확충과 다양한 프로그램 제공을 제안하였다. 한편 도시 아동청소년에게 부족한 자연체험활동을 위해서 농산어촌 학교와 도시학교와의 자매결연을 맺는 방안을 제안하였다.

청소년관련단체의 현황과 발전방향 (A Study on the Present Condition and Development Directions for Youth Allied Organization)

  • The objectives of this study were to explore the present condition and development direction of youth allied organizations such as Korea 4-H Club Federation, Clover Alumni Association and Korea 4-H Association. Researcher developed questionnaires were used to identify historical changes, present condition and development directions of the youth allied organizations. The data were collected from 105 purposively sampled representatives from the youth allied organizations, and SPSS/WIN program was employed to analyze the data. Major problems of the youth allied organization, according to the respondents, were financial difficulties and lack of full-time employee for the organizations. It was recommended that more full-time employees would be necessary for further development of youth allied organizations. Securing wider membership throughout the country and financial security were recommended for development of the youth allied organizations.
