Purpose: This case study was done to describe the health survey conducted by a community health practitioner. Methods: The community health survey was carried out from April 16 to May 31, 2018 with face to face interviews done by 48 trained senior nursing students. Results: Compared with other regions, rates for chronic disease prevalence, chewing discomfort, falls, and depression were higher than those of the relevant district/the relevant city, and the whole country. It is encouraging that the treatment rate for hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, and walking practice rate were higher than those other regions. Those who participated in village events had low stress, and those who participated in health promotion programs had a higher quality of life. Conclusion: The community health practitioner in the public health center post needs to operate health promotion programs continuously. Programs including chronic disease management, fall prevention, depression control, and oral health management should be emphasized, and ways to increase social participation, including participation in village events should be developed.
This study examines the effectiveness of a new community facility operation and management system that were implemented by one of the major construction companies. This system was an unprecedented approach in a sense that it provided not only necessary facilities but also a specialized management staff, an operational manual, and a subsidy for various programs. According to POE conducted among the residents, it can be concluded that the residents' satisfaction will be increased under the following conditions; 1) when a program manual associated with the community facility is provided, 2) when there is a professional staff who can coordinate various programs effectively, 3) when the facilities are well designed in accordance with the program requirements, 4) when the users adhere to regulations and management standards, 5) when all three components- i.e. facility, people and programs- are well coordinated, and 6) when affordable user fees are charged. This research assures that professional management staff and well-planned management system play a significant role in the enhancement of the residents' satisfaction as well as vitalizations of the community.

Results: The results of this research are as follows. First, in terms of humanware, in order to revitalize continuous exchange between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations, a systematic support system is needed to build mutual trust through voluntary participation by each generation. Second, it is important to provide a variety of shared spaces while maintaining the uniqueness of each facility from a hardware perspective, and must be planned in such a way that selective interaction takes place with privacy and interaction in mind. Third, in terms of software, programs that meet the characteristics of each user must be provided. Conclusions: It is expected that the results of this research can be used as basic data for planning community facilities that integrate generations based on local communities, contributing to the search for sustainable ways to revitalize intergenerational exchange in the future.

This study aims to determine the correlation between the apartment resident community and housing satisfaction and suggest which factors can contribute to improving the local community's housing environment and satisfaction by means of the local inhabitants and apartment residents participating in co-managing the community. The study results are as follows. Firstly, the apartment resident community had a positive effect on housing satisfaction but the effects were insignificant. This revealed that residents' interest in communicating with the resident community was low due to various organizations such as the women's association, election committee, and autonomous society being used as means to pursue personal gain rather than the development of the entire apartment. Secondly, the vitalization of the apartment resident community had a positive effect on housing satisfaction. The analysis results showed that the higher the level of unity and volunteering activities of residents, the more improved the resident vitalization programs are being managed, and the higher the level of resident participation, the higher the housing satisfaction. Lastly, this study suggests the supplementation and upgrading of apartment community facilities into complex community facilities as a means to unify the residents and vitalize the resident community. To vitalize the resident community and strengthen the community spirit, the residents will need to voluntarily create a community hub by forming community-tailored associations and programs through connections with local governments and businesses.

Second, the program was developed to utilize elder people for viable community as programs practitioners. Third, the factors of traditional cultural program for endogenous development were human resources, community organization and community participation, and natural and cultural resources. Forth, the program was developed to view the community resources as a systems because the culture was communicated through relationship rather than heritage. The re-valorization of cultural resources by the programs will provide local people with strategic capacity for endogenous development and for the harnessing of extra-focal forces in a market economy.
Purpose: To analyze health programs of the PHCP (Primary Health Care Posts) Method: From August 2006 to July 2007, data on the general quality and health program of the PHCP was requested by official letter and replies were received via E-mail. From December 8 to December 30, 2007, data from 1,268 (66.8%) PHCP out of 1,897 PHCP were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 Win program. Results: The average population covered by each PHCP is 878.3 people. For the health and special programs, Community Health Practitioners report high motivation for programs on health promotion, management of chronic illness, social welfare (40-50%). Demand by the residents was reported at 10% and increases in the health of the residents were attributed to high interest and demand. Volunteer work was 83.3% for bathing, 54.5% for equipment support and 46% for exercise programs. As elders make up 30% of the population in rural areas, there is an increasing demand for volunteer work in bathing programs. Conclusions: As the number of elders in the population increases and there is an increased need for more medical treatment for older people who are sick, the role of PHCP must be strengthened to include visits to homes of community residents. Where financial support for the PHCP is difficult, it is necessary to develop sound data on demographic characteristics of the population in order to develop efficient and effective health promotion programs. The finding that 54.7% of the population need management of chronic illness has difficulty in seeing a physician indicates a need to enhance the health care delivery system by strengthening the role of the Community Health Practitioners and including them in the civil service system to ensure stability of the PHCP.

This study investigated the effects of urban farm program on the participants' sense of community. Three public urban farms in Seoul were selected and surveyed. The results were as follows: First, the effects of the urban farm program on the sense of community were verified by a multifaceted analysis. There were significant differences in the interaction and sense of community between urban farms with and without regular programs. Program participants showed higher level of activity, interaction and sense of community compared to non-participants. Program participation was the most important factor in the path analysis. Second, the number of participating group, residential ownership and duration were important factors in the sense of community. This implies that urban farm programs should target house owners with long duration, in particular socially disadvantaged classes such as single-family and elderly household. Third, diverse cultural programs related to the regional society gained higher satisfaction than the simple agricultural educational programs.
