소비자사회학 작용인이 청소년소비자의 소비주의 성향에 미치는 영향: 인천광역시 중학생을 대상으로 (The Effect of Consumer Socialization Factors on the Consumptionism Propensity of Adolescent Consumers: With Special Reference to Middle School Adolescent Consumers in Inchon)

  • Relationships between consumer socialization factors and socioeconomic characteristics and consumptionism propensity were examined using a sample of 529 middle school students in Inchon, Korea. OL.S regression was utilized. 'Communication with friend' and 'acceptance of mass media' had significant positive effects on 'ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness' and 'other oriented and appearance pursuing' propensity, whereas had a significant negative effect on 'consumption orientation', 'Communication with mother' had a significant positive effect on 'consumption orientation'. Boys where significantly higher than girls in 'ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness' and girls were significantly higher than boys in 'other oriented and appearance pursuing'. 'Income had significant positive effects on ego-identity developing and differentiating by uniqueness'.

  • Recently 'lookism' is prevalent in Korean society. Lookism is a thought that one of causes of unequality of the mankinds is the appearance. The appearance is not only endowed but is made by efforts. Korean market related beauty including cosmetics occupied over $15billion. The purpose of this study is to find the determinants of the appearance management behaviors. Considering social characteristics of Korea and previous literatures, Collectivism, body image were chosen as an explaining variables. And self-esteem, attitudes toward sex roles and the shopping orientation and some demographic variables were selected. For the data analysis, 514 questionnaire for male and female in Daegu were collected. The determinants of appearance management behaviors were perceived level of living, concerns toward thinness, shopping orientation, appearance evaluation, female, family oriented thinking, belief in appearance power, attitude toward sex roles.

Business Orientation, Goals and Satisfaction of Korean-American Business Owners

  • Purpose - This research examined the relationship between business orientation and business goals and satisfaction of Korean-American business owners. Research design/data/methodology - Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and Small Business Orientation (SBO) were the theoretical constructs underlying this research. The responses from 200 Korean-American business owners who participated in the 2005 National Minority Business Owner Surveys were used for data analysis. Results - Noneconomic business goal was positively related to business owners' SBO tendency, and those with a SBO tendency had the higher business satisfaction than those with EO. Conclusions - The findings suggest that policy makers should develop business assistance programs that correspond with owners' business orientation.

장기지향성이 CSR활동과 사회적 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증연구 (The Effects Long-Term Orientation and CSR Activities on Business Performance in Social Enterprise)

  • 본 연구는 사회적 기업의 장기지향성(long-term orientation)이 기업의 사회적 책임(Corporate Social Responsibility: CSR)활동과 사회적 기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 사회적 기업, CSR 활동, 장기지향성에 관한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 연구모형 및 가설을 설정하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 연구모형은 사회적 기업가 115명을 대상으로 Smart PLS 2.0을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 장기지향성은 지역사회의 책임, 환경적 책임, 제품(서비스)의 책임에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역사회의 책임은 재무성과 및 비재무성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 환경적 책임은 비재무성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 재무성과에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 제품(서비스)의 책임은 재무성과 및 비재무성과에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 장기지향성과 CSR 활동의 관련성을 검증하고, CSR 활동이 사회적 기업의 성과를 향상시키고, 사회적 기업이 지속적으로 성장할 수 있는 전략적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

지역사회 건강증진 연구방법 및 전략으로서의 포토보이스 (Photovoice as a research method and a strategy for community health promotion)

  • Objectives: This study aims to explain the process of photovoice, to review relevant research cases, and to discuss the issues in photovoice applications for community health promotion. Methods: Literature review is performed on photovoice manuals, systematic review literature on international photovoice research, and Korean photovoice studies. The review was based on 8 research papers and 6 practice manuals. Results: Photovoice so far has specified its orientation to participatory research. Its implementation includes photovoice training, photo taking and sharing, interviews and discussions, photo exhibit, and social action planning for policy change. SHOWeD questions and the like guide photovoice discussions while they face some challenges in application. Social action planning for policy change part of the photovoice needs attention in implementation and evaluation. Conclusions: Adherence to the participatory principles and action research orientation in photovoice requires persistent efforts. Process and impact evaluation with development of photovoice research infrastructure will enhance photovoice application.

미디어 문화에 나타난 청소년 패션의 상징적 의미 (A Symbolic Meaning of Youth Fashion in Media Culture)

  • The media culture influences upon young people while introducing new cultures by every hour. Considering the mainstream culture, in which media has the greatest effect on young people, this article examines the symbolic significances of youth fashion through media culture. The results of this study can be summarized as the following: First, young people's popular culture ("pop culture") is becoming the medium that leads to the creation of similar cultures of the young people globally through various routes. Culture is being created by integration of diverse media, and not by what is seen through a single medium. Typical young people's culture, which is formed due to the influence of media culture, includes community culture, pun culture, virtual culture and fandom culture. Second, in order to examine youth fashion that is seen in those media, the survey has been conducted on media stars, tecktonik dance groups, fashion models, avatars and online communities, which are fashion icons influencing young people. Third, youth fashion, which has been formed centering on media culture, has the flexible property that varies the symbolic significance according to which culture becomes the main axis. The symbolic significance in fashion, which is seen on media culture young people are contacting, has been examined in the aspects of value orientation, diversity orientation, speed orientation and digital orientation.

성관계와 관련된 성적지향이 고등학생의 흡연행위에 미치는 영향 (Smoking Prevalence according to Sexual Orientation among Korean High School Students)

  • Objectives: This study was to investigate the effects of sexual orientation related to sexual intercourse on smoking behavior. Methods: The study includes 33,309 Korean high school students. Of these, 31,213 had no experience of sexual intercourse, 1,739 had sexual intercourse with the heterosexual, 191 had sex with the homosexual, and 166 had sexual intercourse with the bisex. The study used 12th(2016) Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey with complex sample logistic regression. Results: Adjusted confounding variables were analyzed, and it showed that smoking behavior was higher in the group had experienced sexual intercourse. The group had homosexual intercourse (OR=1.84, 95%CI=1.31-2.57) or bisexual intercourse (OR=2.78, 95%CI=2.06-3.76) showed higher risk of smoking behavior than the group had heterosexual intercourse (OR=1.67, 95%CI=1.48-1.90 Conclusions: The study results showed sexual orientation related to sexual intercourse was associated with smoking behavior. Further follow up studies and evaluations are needed.

패션 사회적 기업의 지속가능성을 위한 사회적 자본 및 공동체의식 형성에 대한 연구 (The Study on Social Capital and Community Sense Formation for the Sustainability of Fashion Social Enterprises)

  • This research intends to observe the effects of social capital regarding fashion social enterprises on the community sense of participating consumers, and verify the relationship of the effects that such social capital and community sense have on sustainability formation variable(shared values, suitability of values, behavioral flow, cognitive belief and long-term relationship orientation) of social enterprises. For such analysis, a sample of 400 consumers with experience of purchasing products of fashion social enterprises more than once was utilized, and path analysis was conducted utilizing AMOS 20.0. As a result of this research, first, information sharing, social participation among the characteristic factors of social enterprises' social capital had a meaningful impact on shared values, and self-pursuit and significance meaningfully affected the suitability of values. Second, mutual influence, sense of belonging, satisfaction of needs and emotional bond among the characteristic factors of community sense between social enterprises and consumers meaningfully affected shared values, whereas mutual influence, sense of belonging and emotional bond substantially influenced suitability of values. Third, shared values and suitability of values affected the relationship between behavioral flow and cognitive trust, and behavioral flow and cognitive trust both had meaningful impact on long-term relationship orientation.

사회복지관의 성과지향적 문화가 사회복지사의 직무수행에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Performance-Oriented Culture of Community Welfare Centers on the Job Performance of Social Workers)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지관의 성과지향적 문화가 사회복지사의 직무수행에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 2013년 1월 4일부터 1월 31일까지 부산 경남 지역의 사회복지관에 근무하는 사회복지사 1,162명을 대상으로 우편설문을 실시하였다. 그리고 회수된 설문 가운데 81개 사회복지관의 755명 자료를 최종 분석하였으며, 분석을 위해서는 SPSS 21.0, AMOS 21.0, 그리고 HLM 6.02 통계 패키지를 활용하였다. 다층모형의 기초모형, 무조건기울기모형, 조건모형 분석결과, 사회복지사의 직무만족도와 조직몰입도는 직무수행에 정적(+) 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성과지향적 문화의 하위 요인 중 고객지향성은 직무수행에 정적(+) 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 실적지향성은 직무수행에 부적(-) 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 혁신지향성은 직무수행에 아무런 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 사회복지사의 직무수행도를 높이기 위한 조직문화 관리 방안을 도출하였다.

부산지역 기혼남녀의 심리적 복지감에 관한 비교연구 (Comparison of the Psychological Well-Being of Married Men and Women in Busan)

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically verify the influence of certain variables on the psychological well-being of married men and women and to provide a basis for promoting the quality of life. The subjects of this study were 366 married men and women in Busan. The data was obtained through administering a self-reported questionnaire. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS/WIN 10.0 and included frequencies, means, standard deviation, Chronbach'a, $$\chi$^2$, t-test, and regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: First, the scores for degree of income propriety, fate control orientation and material orientation of married men was higher than those of married women. The scores for degree of stress recognition and perceived equity showed no significant difference between men and women. The score for psychological well-being of married men and women was relatively low. The score of psychological well-being of married women(2.94) was higher than that of married men(2.67). Second, variables that affect the psychological well-being of married men were degree of income propriety(p>.001), degree of perceived stress(p>.001), fate control orientation(p>.001) and material orientation(p>.001). Variables that affect psychological well-being of married women were degree of income propriety(p>.001), degree of perceived stress (p>.001), fate control orientation(p>.001) and perceived equity(p>.01). The variable of perceived equity didn't affect psychological well-being of married men. The variable of material orientation didn't affect the psychological well-being of married women. Third, the influence level of the degree of income propriety of married men and women was the highest among the variables.
