Proposed fourteen strategic actions for the research should be accompanying with the participation of and cooperation from the local coastal community. Based on the proposed strategic actions, it is critical that the local authorities and other key stakeholders need to accomplish. Providing a good insight for the central government, the strategic action is expected to integrate and prepare a management strategy plan for the local coastal community level. Therefore, this information can be applied to other coastal areas to promote and ensure sustainable protection and management of coastal resources.
In Korea, a movement for founding a intentional community village is becoming popular to improve the individualistic living environment, and to create a humanistic lifestyle. However, it is difficult to say whether its management is successful or not because the intentional community village such as an eco-village is still in an experimental stage in Korea. In this study, a intentional community village was proposed as an alternative approach to help residents build an effective cooperation system and to encourage them to participate in various communal activities. Detailed cases were studied including a formation process and methods of residents' participation. Through the case study, actual conditions of the community villages and several problems were studied. The conclusion of this study is as follows; In order to sustain the community village, it is crucial to encourage the community spirit among the residents. We also find that developing various community facilities and programs can easily raise a sense of familial warmth among the residents. Above all, proactive participation in the communal activities is the most important. It is also necessary to consider the architectural design which can be used as a guiding principle for foundation of the intentional community village. In addition, concrete and systematic solutions including communal activity programs, residents education, and self management regulations must be discussed.

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of virtual community participation and engagement in the brand decision by building community and brand trust. In this study, two theories (Social Capital Theory and Theory of Collective Action) were tested. Both theories were linked based on existing literature, and empirical evidence was obtained through testing hypotheses. Students from five prestigious Pakistani business schools provided a total of 849 replies. The measurement model and structural model were both analyzed using the partial least square (PLS) method. The findings show that virtual community engagement and participation have a positive and significant impact on virtual community trust. Although virtual community engagement has a positive effect on brand trust, we found no evidence of a link between virtual community participation and brand trust. Later, these trusts positively influence brand choice. This study has several managerial implications. The suggested model of this study helps managers to get customers' insight, choose the right target market, and set integrated marketing communication strategies besides social media marketing strategies. The study represents a new perspective of consumer behavior that helps to understand how a customer behaves in virtual communities to trust and take the final decision to purchase.
Housing is a central place fur elderly and it can be influenced to the quality of life for them. Most low income elderly has much problems on their housing. Purpose : This study, as the first year project of setting up a community based management system, was attempted for the cancer patients and their family to improve their quality of life; investigating and managing the cancer patients, educating volunteers and connecting the patients with the volunteers were performed. Method and result : The education of managing cancer patients for the volunteers was done once in lune for 2 days to the 80 volunteers. Questions about education effect, volunteer motivation and so on were made up. The survey showed, generally, education satisfaction level was high and a longer education and an intensive course were needed and was suggested that organizing a volunteer community be needed for the continuous further education and systematic management. As the result, after the public health center and volunteers deliberated, a volunteer community consisting of 4 teams, 28 members was organized, launched in Oct. and operated for the cancer patients and their family. For investigating and enrolling the patients, advertising on a local information paper, recommending of local doctors, publicizing by educating the heads of a subdivision of the city, the heads of a neighborhood association and the people in charge of the related local communities such as women's society, and surveying the community by volunteers were performed and the total, 41 patients were registered. Management of cancer patients was carried out by volunteers in a community and in a nursing school. A regional volunteers' community is composed of 23 members and they have worked 87 times, that is 3.8 times per capita on an average. The content of duties is attending the education (41.1%) the most. A volunteers' community of nursing students composed of 12 members have worked 135 times, that is 11.3 times per capita on an average. The content of duties - consulting with patients and home visiting (37.8 %) were the most and survey for investigating the cancer patients was the second. Conclusion : This study has the meaning that this is the guiding attempt in building a community based management system, and especially the achievement of this study is that a regional society organized a volunteer community for the cancer patients by itself and went into action for the cancer patients and their family. Furthermore, to activate this volunteering, it is necessary to keep managing volunteers and running continuing education or the intensive course of the volunteers. Indeed we should let the patients have good impression on this program through publicity and education for the residents to keep track of more cancer patients. For that, systematic and powerful cooperation of a self-administrative organization is required.
Social networking communities (SNCs) are media designed to facilitate social interaction using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. SNCs can constitute individuals' their own profiles in the online environment and share texts, images and photos in a variety ways. In other words, one of the other motivators is knowledge sharing. Various sites, such as Facebook, Orkut, MySpace, and Hi5 are categorized as SNCs. SNCs have become increasingly popular in recent years among youths, especially students, who use them to build social networks. This study examines whether this usage of SNCs inculcates a sense of community among their members. Several studies have examined the role of a sense of community through increased usage in the context of virtual communities. Although this result may be true of virtual communities, this paper contends that the opposite relationship prevails in the case of SNCs because members interact to build networks and are not obliged to interact. The results reveal that maintaining long-term interactions in the SNCs is helpful in building a sense of community in SNCs. Although short-term usage may not boost the development of a sense of community in SNCs, it does matter if the premise is for a long-term commitment to SNCs. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.
Korean sixth industrialization policy is similar to that of Japanese such as goal of policy, setup and promotion method of specific policy projects as it benchmarked a Japanese case. First of all, the certification systems of both countries, the most representative policy, are very alike that the governments officially certificate management bodies, prepare the ground for continuous sixth industrialization, devide intermediate support organization into the central unit and regional unit, and have the function of support and control of sixth industrialization management bodies. Furthermore, both countries create fund for sixth industrialization as an investment support policy, and push forward with the phased support policy businesses such as individual support and connected support for management bodies. However, there are some differences between certification systems of both countries such as process-oriented or result-oriented for certification, subtle differences of the role in support organization, and the range and rate of support.
This study redefined school health environment in Korea, especially inter-school environment, according to the comprehensive meaning of health. The scope of inter-school health environment was classified into physical environment, biological chemical environment, social environment, and mental. emotional environment. While the environment management was classified into safety management, hygiene management, and living management according to management method, These analytical tools will contribute to a better understanding of the scope of school health and will be an available resource in school health practice.
Forming Community is important to manage and provide the service in Ubiquitous Environments including embedded tiny computers. Community Computing is that members constitute the community and cooperate. A mutual exclusion problem occurs when many processors try to use one resource and race condition happens. In the expanded concept, a group mutual exclusion problem is that processors in the same group can share the resource but processors in different groups cannot share. As mutual exclusion problems might be in community computing environments, we propose algorithm which improves the execution speed using RMS (resource management service). In this paper describes proposed algorithm and proves its performance by experiments, comparing proposed algorithm with previous method using quorum-based algorithm.
