  • As demands for the maritime communications increase, a variety of functions and information are required to exchange via elements of maritime systems, which leads communication traffic increases in maritime frequency bands, especially in VHF (Very High Frequency) band. Thus, effective resource management is crucial to the future maritime communication systems not only to the typical terrestrial communication systems. VHF data exchange system (VDES) enables to utilize more flexible configuration according to the communication condition. This paper focuses on the VDES communication system among VDES terminals such as shore stations, ship stations and aids to navigation (AtoN) to address efficient resource allocation. We propose a resource management method considering a MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technique in VDES, which has been widely used for modern terrestrial wireless networks but not for marine environments by scheduling the essential communication resources. We introduce the general channel model in marine environment and give two metrics, spectral and the energy efficiencies to examine our resource scheduling algorithm. Based on the simulation results and analysis, the proposed method provides a possibility to enhance spectral and energy efficiencies. Additionally, we present a trade-off relationship between spectral and energy efficiencies. Furthermore, we examine the resource efficiencies related to the imperfect channel estimation.

  • In this paper, autonomous information exchange methodology is studied between IEDS using SOAP protocol based on XML and PtP communication. Inference-based solution of the IED identifies the faulted zone autonomously from free information exchange among IEDs, transmits the operation information to the above SCADA system, also determines whether it executes or not for commands from the above SCADA. Finally, Inference-based solution is implemented using MS Visual C++ MFC, MS SOAP and MS XML. Availability and accuracy of the design is verified from simulation reviews for typical distribution substation.

  • VANET is a network environment which provides the communication between vehicles and between vehicle and RSU using wireless communication. VANET is very important to protect safety and life of people. Because of that, security is considered enough and certification is very important when messages exchanged between vehicles. Recently, Zhang proposed using Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol that is method exchanging messages in VANET system through RAISE. But this is many problems on weakness from various attacks. In this paper, proposed the method that establish symmetric key using ECDH key exchange protocol and confirm safety and time spending that generate key and exchange through comparison.

  • This paper proposed a session key exchange and authentication scheme on non-interactive key distribution algorithm using a community member's ID in ubiquitous networks. In ubiquitous network environment, User's context-awareness information is collected and used to provide a context-awareness service for someone who need it. However, in ubiquitous network environment, this kind of the Context-awareness information could be abused by a malicious nodes. The proposed scheme using the community member ID provides a session key exchange and mutual authentication between community members, and supports secure data communication. Also, when exchanging the session key and authenticating each other, this scheme reduces communication overhead and authentication delay compared to the AAA server scheme.

  • MiTS communication is a protocol for the exchange of various information among shipboard systems. It also specifies more than 30 specialized message formats for the information exchange. To build MiTS systems, therefore, the messages should be processed consistently. This paper proposes the design and implementation of such message processing modules. It also describes the test results of the implemented modules.

  • Most private and public organizations use, for their works, information systems that change their organizational structures. Nowadays, many organizations have team-based structures where typically a cross functional team is in charge of a business process. The effective communication among the members of a team is an important factor of team performance in that communication facilitates trust building, knowledge exchange, change acceptance, and safety improvement. This paper reviews methods for analyzing communication among team members from three aspects such as the content, the amount, and the structure of communication.

  • How to make people keep both the confidentiality of the sensitive data and the privacy of their real identity in communication networks has been a hot topic in recent years. Researchers proposed privacy-preserving authenticated key exchange protocols (PPAKE) to answer this question. However, lots of PPAKE protocols need users to remember long secrets which are inconvenient for them. In this paper we propose a lightweight three-party privacy-preserving authentication key exchange (3PPAKE) protocol using smart card to address the problem. The advantages of the new 3PPAKE protocol are: 1. The only secrets that the users need to remember in the authentication are their short passwords; 2. Both of the users can negotiate a common key and keep their identity privacy, i.e., providing anonymity for both users in the communication; 3. It enjoys better performance in terms of computation cost and security. The security of the scheme is given in the random oracle model. To the best of our knowledge, the new protocol is the first provably secure authentication protocol which provides anonymity for both users in the three-party setting.

  • The specific objectives of the study were as follows: 1) To investigate the composition system (design, usability and interactivity) of web sites of textile exchange of B to B 2) To examine and valuate contents and marketing (announcement, satisfaction and variety of contents) of web sites of textile exchange of B to B. The data were collected from search engine, portal sites of evaluation, direct contact, interview over the phone with web master of concerned web sites and the result of analytical valuation of web sites. The results of this study were as fellows: 1) The Dongsung trading intended to mainly use their homepage as a inside communication place by intranet network. The Daechang trading was mainly using their homepage as a tool of expansion of their outside export market. The etextiler was selling their web solutions through homepage. The texcom was offering the web place and useful informations to trading companies in Asia. 2) The texcom consisted text with little image to speed up for loading and navigation for usability of users. The Dongsung trading made intranet network for communication and exchange of informations of company inside. The etextiler offered a booking menu to inquiry in homepage. The Daechang trading tried to give good impression from the introduction page at homepage.

  • This study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on exchange rates of the top ten currencies according to their trading value with Thailand by employing a regression analysis. Data includes daily number of COVID-19 cases - confirmed, new, deaths - and exchange rates against Thai Baht - CNY, JPY, USD, MYR, SGD, VND, IDR, AUD, HKD, TWD - which cover the period from January 2, 2020 to December 15, 2020. Results show that the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Thailand relate to changes in all exchange rates; CNY, MYR, SGD, VND, AUD, and TWD have depreciated in relation to the THB, whereas JPY, USD, IDR, and HKD have appreciated. Furthermore, the new cases and deaths of COVID-19 have similar associations with almost all exchange rates. Deprecation of the JPY, USD, VND, HKD, and TWD in relation to the THB is due to new cases, on the contrary the MYR, IDR, and AUD have appreciated. Likewise, the JPY, USD, VND, and HKD have depreciated, but the CNY, MYR, SGD, and AUD have appreciated in relation to the THB owing to deaths cases. The study findings provide useful knowledge to manage an exchange rate risk for business and could help policymakers to improve the efficiency of exchange rate.

  • This study explores how South Korean citizens evaluate corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices based on communal and exchange relationships. Specifically, it examines whether their evaluations of the two types of relationships are related to their supportive opinions, such as positive attitudes toward corporations and behavioral intentions to purchase products. The findings show that the communal relationship between an energy corporation and its local residents is more related to their supportive opinions than exchange relationship. That is, a communal relationship tends to generate more positive business outcomes than an exchange relationship. This study concludes that corporations should prepare for useful community outreach and CSR programs for their local community. Practitioners need to focus on building communal relationships with community members through their programs.
