A Study on Calculating Relevant Length of Left Turn Storages Using UAV Spatial Images Considering Arrival Distribution Characteristics at Signalized Intersections in Urban Commercial Areas

  • Calculating the relevant length of left turn storages in urban intersections is very crucial in road designs. A left turn lane consists of deceleration lanes and left turn storages. In this study, we developed methods for calculating relevant lengths of left turn storages that vary at each intersection using UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) spatial images. Problems of conventional design techniques are applying the same number of left turn vehicles (N) using Poisson distribution without considering land use types, using a vehicle length that may not be measurable when applying the length of waiting vehicles (S), and using same storage length coefficient (${\alpha}$), 1.5, for every intersections. In order to solve these problems, we estimated the number of left turn vehicles (N) using an empirical distribution, suggested to use headways of vehicles for (S) to calculate the length of waiting vehicles (S) with a help of using UAV spatial images, and defined ranges of storage length coefficient (${\alpha}$) from 1.0 to 1.5 for flexible design. For more convenient design, it is suitable to classify two cases when possible to know and impossible to know about ratio of large trucks among vehicles when planning an intersection. We developed formula for each case to calculate left turn storage lengths of a minimum and a maximum. By applying developed methods and values, more efficient signalized intersection operation can be accomplished.

  • 차량에 탑재하여 운행 중 배출가스를 측정할 수 있는 이동식 배출가스 장비(PEMS)를 활용한 결함확인검사 방법을 미국은 2007년부터 시행하였고, 유럽은 2013년 EURO6부터 도입할 계획을 수립했다. 따라서 한국도 국내의 대형차 배출가스 관리의 중요성을 고려할 때 PEMS를 활용한 실 도로 주행 특성을 반영한 측정 방법의 도입이 필요한 시점이다. PEM의 다양한 활용 방안을 위하여 도로유형, 매연저감장치 및 공회전제한장치 그리고 에어컨 작동에 따른 배출가스 평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 PEMS을 활용한 상용차 결함확인 검사 방법을 분석하여 국내 실정에 적합한 대형차 결함확인 검사제도 시행에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하고자 한다.

질량 추정기 기반 수동 변속 상용차용 요 모멘트 제어 알고리즘 (Yaw Moment Control Algorithm based on Estimated Vehicle Mass for Manual-Shift Commercial Vehicles)

  • This paper presents a yaw moment control based on estimated mass for manual-shift commercial vehicles. In yaw moment controller, parameter uncertantiy of vehicle mass is important because the desired yaw moment depends on vehicle parameter. However, in the case of commercial vehicle, the weight of the loaded vehicle is more than twice as much as compared to the unloaded vehicle. The proposed algorithm estimates the vehicle mass by using the longitudinal dynamic and gear shifting characteristics. The estimated mass is used to adaptively modify the vehicle parameters. In addition, this paper estimates the chamber pressure of a pneumatic brake and generates the target yaw moment through on/off valve control. MATLAB/Simulink and Trucksim were performed under sine with dwell test. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm improves the lateral and rollover stability.

사업용 차량(버스)의 위험운전 임계값 개발 (Development of a Critical Value According to Commercial use Vehicle(BUS))

  • 2007년 경찰청 통계자료에 따르면 사업용 차량(시내, 시외, 기타버스)의 교통사고 건수는 당 해 교통사고 건수의 3.5%에 해당하지만 사업용 차량의 경우 운전자 외 다수 승객의 안전을 책임져야 하므로 더욱 심각한 사회적, 경제적 문제를 초래한다. 이러한 사업용 차량의 교통사고 감소 및 안전운전에 대한 사회적 요구에 부흥하기 위하여 디지털 주행기록계, 차량용 블랙박스 등 다양한 형태의 시스템이 사용되고 있으나, 이러한 시스템은 사고 후 차량데이터를 기반으로 위험운전여부를 분석하여 운전자를 관리하기 때문에 실시간으로 운전자를 관리하기에는 큰 한계가 있다. 또한 현재 운영되고 있는 주행기록계는 운전자에게 경고 정보를 제공하지만 실제 위험운전 여부와 상관없이 차량의 속도와 RPM정보만을 이용하여 운전자에게 경고를 제공하고 있어 효율이 매우 떨어지는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구의 선행연구에서는 차량 운전자의 운전행태에 따른 차량 동역학 데이터를 저장?판단하여 운전자에게 실시간으로 경고정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 위험운전 판단장치를 개발하였으며, 개발된 위험운전 판단장치에서 운전자의 안전운전을 향상 시킬 수 있는 위험운전 유형에 따른 임계값을 개발하였다.

  • This study is to establish design method and evaluation technology for drive system appropriate to articulated vehicles. The transmission system of articulated vehicles serves in the other condition compared with those of commercial vehicles, namely, they have to transmit high power to run and they have to make maximum use of the limited space. This paper reports the reviews and results of the design and evaluation method for driving gear unit of articulated vehicles and discusses various design items and methods about assembly and parts of driving gear unit.

In Vitro Percutaneous Absorption of Tenoxicam from Pressure-sensitive Adhesive Matrices across the Hairless Mouse Skin

  • To investigate the feasibility of developing a new tenoxicam plaster, the effects of vehicles and penetration enhancers on the in vitro permeation of tenoxicam from a pressure-sensititre adhesive (PSA) matrices across the dorsal hairless mouse skin were studied. Vehicles employed in this study were propylene glycol (PC)-oleyl alcohol (OAI), PG-oleic acid (OA), and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DCMI)-propylene glycol monolaurate (PCML) cosolvents with/without fatty acids. In this studys amines such as triethanolamine (TEA) and tromethamine (TM) were additionally used as a solubilized. Among PSAs used, $Duro-Tak^{\circledR}$87-2510 showed much higher release rate than either $Duro-Tak^{\circledR}$ 87-2100 or $Duro-Tak^{\circledR}$87-2196. The relatively high flux rate was obtained with the formulation of DCMI-PCML (40:60, v/v) with 3% OA and 5% TM, and the flux increased as a function of the dose;the initial flux up to 12 h was $4.98{\pm}1.38{\;}{\mu\textrm{g}}/{\textrm{cm}^2}/h$ at the tenoxicam dose of $50{\;} mg/70{\;}{\textrm{cm}^2}$. This flux was much higher than that of a commercial piroxicam patch ($Trast^{\circledR}$) ($1.24{\pm}0.73{\;}{\mu\textrm{g}}/$\textrm{cm}^2/hr$) with almost only one-third that of the commercial patch. Therefore, these observations indicated that these composition of tenoxicam plaster may be practically applicable.

소형발사체 개발 및 최신 기술 동향 (Technology and Development Trends of Small Launch Vehicles)

  • 최근 민간이 우주개발을 주도하는 뉴스페이스 시대가 시작되었다. 뉴스페이스 시대는 소형위성 시장 및 소형발사체 시장의 규모가 확대됨에 따라 민간이 우주개발에 적극 참여하는 시대라고 할 수 있다. 우주개발 선진국에서는 소형발사체의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해 개발/제작/운용비용의 감소시키는 노력을 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 도전적인 우주개발을 위한 국외 소형발사체 개발 동향 및 소요 기술의 동향을 분석하고 요약하였다. 소요 기술 중 전기 펌프, 적층 제조 등 spin-on 기술을 우주개발기술에 활용하기 위한 연구 개발이 시급하게 필요하다.

상용차 팬 구동용 BLDC 모터 개발 (Developed a BLDC Motor for Driving a Commercial Vehicle Fan)

  • This paper is the research result of designing and developing a BLDC motor for driving a condenser fan, which is widely used in air conditioners of commercial vehicles and specially equipped vehicles, and produced with a target value. The design of the motor was carried out in the order of designing the electric and magnetic circuits after determining the motor specifications. The process was repeated with different set values until the designed target condition was satisfied, and the electric and magnetic field distributions were made to be equal by reflecting the characteristics of the material. As a structural feature of the motor, it is a rotating field type composed of multipoles, and has a structure in which a permanent magnet is attached to the surface of the rotor. The manufactured BLDC motor is a 3-phase square wave driving method, with a rated voltage of 24 [V], a rotational speed of 2,500 [rpm], a rated current of 10 [A], and a power consumption of 180 [W]. A microcontroller for driving and controlling the motor was also manufactured.
