서점의 적재가연물의 연소특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Combustion Characteristics of Live Fire Load in a Bookstore)

  • 건축물 적재가연물은 종류 및 양 등의 특성에 따라 화재지속시간과 화재규모 등에 크게 기여한다. 서점은 다른 건축용도보다 가연물이 다량 적재되어 있으므로 화재발생시 화재위험성이 클 가능성이 있다. 그러나 한편으로는 서점 내부의 서적은 연소하면 탄화층이 형성되고 적재가연물량에 비해 노출표면적이 작기 때문에 화재시 열분해가스의 생성이 작을 가능성도 있다. 이러한 가능성을 다양한 실험을 통해 파악하여 서점의 화재안전설계에 합리적으로 반영할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 서점의 성능위주설계에 활용하기 위하여 적재가연물을 재현한 시험체를 가열로에 넣고 ISO834-1:1999 표준가열곡선에 따라 가열하는 일련의 실험을 실행하였다. 이 실험 결과를 바탕으로 서점의 적재가연물의 연소발열성상을 파악하고 성능위주설계에 필요한 연소속도 및 열방출률 등을 제시하였다.

  • The effect of cycling on the absorption and desorption characteristics of the 80 wt% $AB_2$-15 wt% Mg-5 wt% Mm system was investigated. The material was made by Hydrogen Combustion Synthesis. The cycling experiment was performed at 298 K, 30 atm for 15 min. During the reaction time, the amount of absorption was fully desorbed. After the full activation, the hydrogen storage capacity was 1.57 wt% and the capacity was maintained until 50 cycles. And the reaction rate does not change with an increase in the number of cycles. This material has good durability and reversible feature.

  • 본 연구에서는 알루미늄 입자 크기에 따른 파라핀 혼합연료의 연소 특성에 관한 실험을 수행하였다. 평균 입도 100 nm 및 $8{\mu}m$ 크기의 알루미늄 입자와 Sasol사의 마이크로크리스탈린 파라핀 왁스(Sasol 0907)를 이용하여 연소실험을 수행하였고 순수 파라핀과 알루미늄 입자 5 wt%를 첨가한 파라핀 혼합연료의 후퇴율과 압력선도, 특성배기속도 등을 비교하였다. 마이크로 입자의 첨가는 산화제 유속이 증가할수록 후퇴율을 향상시켰으나 나노 입자의 첨가는 후퇴율이 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

  • For the better understanding of the stability of turbulent combustion, more researches on extinction and re-ignition are needed. Flame interactions in non-premixed flame have also not been greatly researched. We made a hybrid twin jet flame, the combinations of diffusion flame and partially-premixed diffusion flame, in a twin jet counterflow configuration. The extinction limits of a crossed twin jet counterflow have been extended in comparison with those of a one-dimensional counterflow because of flame interactions through heat transfer and joint ownership of various radicals. Besides, we have obtain ignition $Damk\"{o}hler$ number by experimental method without external ignition source using the extinction characteristic in a crossed twin jet counterflow flame. From results, we can identify the hysteresis between extinction and ignition $Damk\"{o}hler$ number in S-curve.

화상 2색법에 의한 디젤화염의 온도분포 및 매연농도의 평가 (An Estimation of the Temperature Distribution and the Soot Density in Diesel Flame with the Two-Color Method using Image Analysis System)

  • The simplified two-color method is proposed which can estimate the temperature distribution and the soot density of the whole flame with the image analysis of the high-speed photographs. The factors influenced on its processing were examined, for example, the selection of the wave length, the kind of films, the preparation of the calibration curve between the radiance of flame and the luminance temperature. The simplified two-color method reported in this paper can be used as a tool for the improvement of the combustion process in direct injection diesel engine.

  • The dimensional accuracy and consistency of a dual oil circuit centrifugal fuel nozzle are important for fuel distribution and combustion efficiency in an engine combustion chamber. A point cloud measurement method was proposed to solve the geometric accuracy detection problem for the fuel nozzle. An improved variance focus measure operator was used to extract the depth point cloud. Compared with other traditional sharpness evaluation functions, the improved operator can generate the best evaluation curve, and has the least noise and the shortest calculation time. The experimental results of point cloud slicing measurement show that the best window size is 24 × 24 pixels. In the height measurement experiment of the standard sample block, the relative error is 2.32%, and in the fuel nozzle cone angle measurement experiment, the relative error is 2.46%, which can meet the high precision requirements of a dual oil circuit centrifugal fuel nozzle.

  • Many items, as internal pressure, thrust, temperature, strain, etc. are measured in Ground Firing Test (GFT) of rocket motors. But these items are influenced by various phenomena occurred during propellant combustion. In this study, natural frequencies of motor itself and system(motor+loadcell) on Stand were measured. Also motor responses were measured during burning and analyzed so that the vibration characteristics occurred during GFT and the causes and characteristics of vibration signal appearing on thrust curve were identified.

  • Cam mechanisms are one of the most popular devices for generating irregular motion and are widely used in many automatic equipments, such as textile machinery, internal combustion engines and other automatic devices. In order to obtain the positive motion of follower by rotating cam, its shape should be correctly designed and manufactured. In present paper, a CAD/CAM system is developed for shape design of disk cams using relative velocity method and NC code generation using the biarc curve interpolation. And, a disk cam is successfully manufactured by the developed CAD/CAM system. Thus, it is shown that the developed CAD/CAM system can be used for high precision cam profile CNC grinding machine.

  • Full-beads of multi-layer steel engine head gaskets that are used to seal the combustion gas between the head and the block are subject to cyclic bending stresses due to the variation of the head/block gap during engine operation. The S-N curve for the fatigue durability assessment of the full-bead formed on NBR-coated SUS301 thin plate is deduced from the axial fatigue test results because of the difficulty in conducting the bending fatigue test of thin plate. The experimental verification of the deduced S-N curve is presented. It is shown that the NBR coating increases the endurance limit of the plate significantly. Mechanism of crack nucleation and propagation in the full-bead is discussed with photographs of the fatigue cracks.

  • 핀틀 노즐 기술을 적용한 고체 추진기관의 지상 연소시험을 수행하여 내탄도 성능 해석과 비교하였다. Baffle이 없는 핀틀-노즐 추진기관 시험 결과 초기 압력은 내탄도 성능 해석 결과와 유사하였으나 점진적으로 압력이 증가하는 현상이 나타났다. 또한, 핀틀 주변으로 공급되는 유동을 균일하게 형성하기 위하여 baffle을 추가하여 시험을 수행하였다. 시험 결과 예측되는 압력보다 40% 높은 압력이 측정되었으며 CFD 유동해석을 통하여 baffle에 의한 전압력 손실이 발생하며 10%의 전압력 손실을 고려하여 예측된 연소실 압력이 측정 압력과 유사함을 확인하였다.
