Phase Contrast MR Angiography(PC MRA) is excellent MRA technique for measuring the velocity of vessels in the human body. PC MRA need to at least four images for angiogram reconstruction and it caused longer scan time. Therefore, we used keyhole imaging combined PC MRA to reduce the scan time. However, keyhole imaging can lead the erroneous effects as loss of phase information or frequency discontinuous. In this study, we applied the keyhole imaging combined 2D PC MRA for improving the temporal resolution and also measured the velocity to evaluate the accuracy of phase information. We used 0.32T MRI scanner(Magfinder II, Scimedix, Korea). Using the 2D PC MRA pulse sequence, the vascular images for a human brain targeted on the Superior Sagittal Sinus(SSS) were obtained. We applied tukey window function for keyhole images to minimize the ringing artifact and erroneous factors that are induced frequency discontinuous and phase information loss. We also applied zero-padded algorithm to peripheral missing k-space lines to compare keyhole imaging results and the artifact power(AP) value was measured on the complex difference images to validate the image quality. Consider as based on our results, heavy image distortions and artifacts were shown until using at least 50% keyhole factor. Using above the 50% keyhole factors are shown well reconstructed and matched for magnitude images and velocity information measurements. In conclusion, we confirmed the image quality and velocity information of keyhole technique combined 2D PC MRA. Especially, measured velocity information through the keyhole imaging combination was similar to the velocity information of full sampled k-space image despite of frequency discontinuous and phase information loss in the keyhole imaging reconstruction process. Consequently, the keyhole imaging combined 2D PC MRA will give some clinical usefulness and advantages as improving the temporal resolution and measuring the velocity information via selecting the appropriate keyhole factor at low tesla MRI system.
In real time packetized voice applications, missing frames is a major source of voice quality degradation. Thus packet loss concealment(PLC) algorithms are needed to guarantee the QoS of the VoIP. Still current speech codecs for VoIP work poor when consecutive packet losses are issued. In this paper, we proposed a new PLC algorithm for the G.729 codec. Our algorithm works better especially when the consecutive packet loss occurs mainly because it adopts an adaptive gain controller utilizing the number of missing packet information combined with a fixed codebook vector estimation algorithm and LPC bandwidth expansion.

The performances of the simple expansion, perforated tube, and conical-connector type as an exhaust muffler are shown in this study. Applying a model in which the method of four-pole parameter is used makes theoretical estimation of the insertion loss. Experiment is performed for the measurement of the insertion loss under four cases according to the variation of the tail pipe length. By comparing the theoretical prediction with the experimental results, the validity of the modeling using the method of four-pole parameter is verified. The personal computer simulation programs for the above mentioned theory on the muffler design have been developed and exhaust sound level measurements have been carried out for simple expansion muffler, conical-connector muffler, perforated tube mufflers and the combined type of conical-connector and simple expansion muffler. The measured results for attenuation characteristics of noise for each muffler are compared with the computed theoretical results to verity the confidence and applicable limits of the theoretical equation derived.

The Imha watershed is vulnerable to severe erosion due to the topographical characteristics such as mountainous steep slopes. The RUSLE model was combined with GIS techniques to analyze the mean annual erosion losses and the soil losses caused by typhoon "Maemi". The model is used to evaluate the spatial distribution of soil loss rates under different land uses. The mean annual soil loss rate and soil losses caused by typhoon "Maemi"were predicted as $3,450\;tons/km^2/year$ and $2,920\;ton/km^2/"Maemi"$, respectively. The sediment delivery ratio was determined to be about 25% from the mean annual soil loss rate and the surveyed sediment deposits in the Imha reservoir in 1997.
The calculation of the transmission loss of the silencers with complicated internal structures by the conventional BEM combined with the transfer matrix method is incorrect at best or impossible for 3-dimensional silencers due to its inherent plane wave assumption. On this consideration, we propose an efficient practical means to formulate algebraic overall condensed acoustic equations for the whole acoustic structure, where particle velocities on the domain interface boundaries are unknowns, and the solutions are used later to compute the overall transfer matrix elements, based on the multi-domain BEM data. The transmission loss estimation by the proposed method is tested by comparison with the experimental one on an air suction silencer with perforated internal structures installed in air compressors. The method shows its viability by presenting the reasonably consistent anticipation of the experimental result.
The Imha watershed is vulnerable to severe erosion due to the topographical characteristics such as mountainous steep slopes. Sediment inflow from upland area has also deteriorated the water quality and caused negative effects on the aquatic ecosystem of the Imha reservoir. The Imha reservoir was affected by sediment-laden density currents during the typhoon 'Maemi' in 2003. The RUSLE model was combined with GIS techniques to analyze the mean annual erosion losses and the soil losses caused by typhoon 'Maemi'. The model is used to evaluate the spatial distribution of soil loss rates under different land uses. The mean annual soil loss rate and soil losses caused by typhoon 'Maemi' were predicted as 3,450 tons/km2/year and 2,920 ton/km2/'Maemi', respectively. The sediment delivery ratio was determined to be about 25% from the mean annual soil loss rate and the surveyed sediment deposits in the Imha reservoir in 1997. The trap efficiency of the Imha reservoir was calculated using the methods of Julien, Brown, Brune, and Churchill and ranges from 96% to 99%.

For stereo matching based on deep learning, the design of network structure is crucial to the calculation of matching cost, and the time-consuming problem of convolutional neural network in image processing also needs to be solved urgently. In this paper, a method of stereo matching using sparse loss volume in parallax dimension is proposed. A sparse 3D loss volume is constructed by using a wide step length translation of the right view feature map, which reduces the video memory and computing resources required by the 3D convolution module by several times. In order to improve the accuracy of the algorithm, the nonlinear up-sampling of the matching loss in the parallax dimension is carried out by using the method of multi-category output, and the training model is combined with two kinds of loss functions. Compared with the benchmark algorithm, the proposed algorithm not only improves the accuracy but also shortens the running time by about 30%.

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to analyze the results of the combined and posterior approaches for treating thoracolumbar and lumbar burst fractures and to find an adequate method of treatment. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the cases of 46 patients with unstable thoracolumbar and lumbar burst fractures who had been surgically treated. All cases were divided into two groups based on the operation method used. Eleven patients had undergone the combined approach, while 35 patients had undergone the posterior approach. Radiological and clinical evaluations were performed before surgery, after surgery, and at the final follow-up. Results: The stenotic ratios of the area occupied by the retropulsed bony fragments to the estimated area of the original spinal canal were 68.2% and 45.6% for the combined and the posterior approaches, respectively. No significant differences in the neurological improvement or the corrected state of the sagittal index were noted, but the patients who had been treated with the combined approach group had better results than those who had been treated with the posterior approach group in terms of correction and maintenance of the sagittal index. The average kyphosis corrections at the final follow-up were 15.3 degrees for the patients in the combined approach group and 10.0 degrees for those in the posterior approach group. Surgical time and estimated blood loss were all significantly higher for patients in the combined approach group. Conclusion: The combined and the posterior approaches showed similar results in the improvements of the neurologic state and the corrected state of the sagittal index. However, use of the combined approach is recommended for patients with severe kyphosis and with severe canal encroachment.
Purpose: Disaster as traffic accident, industrial disaster, high voltage electrical bum and flame burn of extremity have a destructive effect because of the involvement of deep structure. Generally, such injury may result in decreased function or loss of limb. In this study the successful use of the combined scapular/parascapular flap as microsurgical transfer to cover extensive defect of electrical and flame bum is reported. Material and Method: Between January 2000 and June 2001, the combined scapular and parascapular flap was used for the coverage of soft tissue defect for 7 patients were admitted to our department with high voltage electrical bum and flame burn. The recipient site were the wrist joint in 2 cases, the forearm in 1 case, the ankle joint in 1 case, the foot dorsum in 1 case, the heel in 1 case. Result: Flap survival was complete in all patients. The result of flap coverage for these deep wound was successful. Conclusion: The advantages of scapular/parascapular combined flap were coverage of the large defect, easy shaping of the flap to fit the required three dimensional configuration around the joint, non hair bearing skin of uniform thickness, minimal donor site morbidity.
We report a patient with combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma confined in the common hepatic duct and scirrhous type of hepatocellular carcinoma in the caudate lobe of liver simultaneously. The patient was a 55-yearsold Korean man with hepatitis B virus (HBV) carrier who was referred from a local hospital due to detected liver mass on abdominal computed tomography (CT). He has presented jaundice and weight loss for the previous 3 weeks. Laboratory examination showed AST/ALT elevation and hyperbilirubinemia. HBsAg was positive. The tumor marker study showed elevated AFP and DCP, not CEA and CA 19-9. Abdominal CT disclosed an about 2.1×0.9 cm sized soft tissue density in hilum with both intrahepatic duct (IHD) dilatations and an about 3×2.1 cm sized arterial enhancing lesion at segment 8 of the liver. Patient received 15 cycles of Gemcitabine/Cisplantin chemotherapy from February 27, 2013 to December 31, 2013. Caudate lobectomy of liver, segmental resection of bile duct and Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy was performed on February 10, 2014. The final pathologic report showed double primary liver cancer, combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma in common hepatic bile duct and scirrhous type of hepatocellular carcinoma in segment 1 of the liver. This is a very unusual case in which combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma confined in the large bile duct and two rare hepatic cancers coexisted.
