This study focuses on the development of intelligent combat robot systems for future warfare. The research is structured as follows: First, the introduction presents the rationale for researching intelligent combat robots and their potential to become game changers in future warfare. Second, in the context of the intelligent robot paradigm, this study proposes the need for military organizations to innovate their combat concepts and weapon systems through the effective utilization of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive, Biometric, and Mechanical technologies. This forms the theoretical background of the study. Third, the analysis of intelligent robot systems considers five examples: humanoid robots, jumping robots, wheeled and quadrupedal pack robots, and tank robots. Finally, the discussion and conclusion propose that intelligent combat robots should be selected as game changers in military organizations for future warfare, and suggest further research in this area.
Science technique development expanded into, not only land, sea, and air operations but also those of airspace, and cyber battle spaces. It is generally accepted at this time that space centric operations currently cannot be effectively divided from air operations. However, science and technology advancements make it possible to integrate Army, Navy, Airforce, and Marine forces into effective operations as never before. The Republic of Korea Armed Forces needs to establish a more effective joint concept. The US military, considered by many experts as the most effective in the world, understands the necessity of joint operations and accordingly has highly developed its own concept of joint operations. The US joint operational concepts demonstrated their effectiveness during the Iraqi War by dominating the battlefield through effective use of all combat and non-combat power. Following the US Iraqi War experience, the US Department of Defense continued to enhance Joint Capability through the acceleration of US Military Transformation involving all components. The future national security of the Republic of Korea, faced with the peculiarity of communist threat in the form of North Korea, and the conflicting interest of four strong powers; the United States, China, Japan, and Russia, depends on small but strong armed forces employing all available combat power through effective National and Military Strategy, and considering domestic and international constraints. In order to succeed in future wars, military operations following joint operational concepts must effectively employ all available combat power in a timely manner. The Republic of Korea Armed Forces must establish a joint forces concept in order to integrate all available combat power during employment. Therefore we must establish military operations that develop the military structure and organization, doctrine, weapon systems, training and education of our armed forces based on the key concept of joint operations.

Participation of ROK navy in the Rim of the Pacific(RIMPAC) in likely to stimulate rethinking of Korea's defense role in Northeast Asia. Although the RIMPAC exercise was originally maneuvers to improve combat techniques in ASW, anti-aircraft combat. ocean supply support. surface combat. and electronics warfare. it will be finally be directed to ward securing the SLOC connecting the US, Canada. Australia and the Far East. Based on this concept, my conclusion is that two future arrangements are possible for the security of the Korean peninsula and protecting the SLOC in the combined defense of the Pacific. One is the naval cooperation between ROK and Japan. the other is the Standing Naval Force Pacific(STANAVFORPAC) The concepts of the Naval Cooperation between ROK and Japan and the STANAVFORPAC is whose time has come. The leaders, policymakers, and planners of the countries concerned need to consider such a move seriously.

One of the current focal points in the defense sector is how to strategically leverage the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in military operations. The Fourth Industrial Revolution denotes a transformational shift in the environment where automation and connectivity are maximized, primarily driven by advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Coined by Klaus Schwab at the 2015 Davos Forum, this term signifies a profound change in human activities, akin to how a single machine replaced hundreds of laborers in the past. The military application of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies is increasingly researched and anticipated to be actively implemented. Combat, as a subset of warfare, entails military actions between units conducting war. Typically performed by units to achieve one or more objectives, the concept of combat involves the fundamental ideas guiding the conduct of military operations against adversaries, both presently and in the future. Hence, it is imperative for our military to develop future combat concepts by harnessing the key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In the midst of the development of science and technology based on the 4th industrial revolution, the ROK Army is moving forward with the ARMY TIGER 4.0 system, a ground combat system that combines future advanced science and technology. The system is developing around an AI-based hyper-connected ground combat system, and has mobility, intelligence, and networking as core concepts. Especially, the dronebot combat system is used as a compound word that refers to unmanned combat systems including drones and ground unmanned systems. In future battlefields, it is expected that the use of unmanned and artificial intelligence-based weapon systems will increase. During the transition to a complete unmanned system, it is a very important issue to ensure connectivity individual unmanned systems themselves or between manned and unmanned systems on the battlefield. This paper introduces the Multiplexer Allocation Problem (MAP) for effective command control and communication of UAV/UGV, and proposes a heuristic algorithm. In addition, the performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed by comparing the solutions and computing time. Also, we discuss future research area for the MAP.

The intelligent control algorithm based on the real-time biological monitoring system has been emphasized to enhance the survivability of the combat warrior in the future combat fields. In this study, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method was deployed to categorize the factors related to the improvement of survivability, then to determine the relative importances between them. As the details of the research process, the historical survivability determinants were firstly categorized, which was nextly judged their relative importance by the experts in the actual fileds through the survey of AHP. In this process, the consistency of the survey was investigated to filter out the error. As a result, the global priority of factors can be acquired to establish the optimized operational concepts in the intelligent warrior platform.
M&S techniques are widely used as scientific means to systematically develop response plans to chemical and biological (CB) hazards. However, while the theoretical area of hazard dispersion modeling has achieved remarkable practical results, the operational analysis area to simulate CB hazard response plans is still in an early stage. This paper presents a model to simulate CB hazard response plans such as detection, protection, and decontamination. First, we present a possible way to display high-fidelity hazard dispersion in a combat simulation model, taking into account weather and terrain conditions. We then develop an improved vulnerability model of the combat simulation model, in order to simulate CB damage of combat simulation entities based on other casualty prediction techniques. In addition, we implement tactical behavior task models that simulate CB hazard response plans such as detection, reconnaissance, protection, and decontamination. Finally, we explore its feasibility by analyzing contamination detection effects by distributed CB detectors and decontamination effects according to the size of the {contaminated, decontamination} unit. We expect that the proposed model will be partially utilized in disaster prevention and simulation training area as well as analysis of combat effectiveness analysis of CB protection system and its operational concepts in the military area.
