여성정치지도자의 패션컬러를 통해 본 휴먼이미지 연구 (Human Image Analysis Through Fashion Color of Female Political Leaders)

  • 21세기는 사람의 이미지를 디자인하는 시대가 되었다. 사람의 이미지를 디자인함으로써 개인 내면의 숨겨진 능력을 밖으로 표출시켜 줄 수 있다. 현대사회는 빠르게 변화되고 이러한 사회는 이제 빠르고 복잡함보다는 배려와 공감, 이해심, 소통의 여성 리더십이 새로운 원동력으로 주목받고 있다. 세계적으로 큰 기업에서는 여성 최고 경영자가 선출되는 것이 빈번할 뿐만 아니라 북유럽에서는 여성 국회의원의 수가 40%를 육박하고 있다. 여성리더십의 향상과 함께 여성 지도자의 패션은 주목받고 있으며 장소와 상황에 적합한 패션 컬러는 여성 지도자에게 중요한 이미지 전략 중 하나로 쓰여 진다. 본 연구는 시각 이미지이자, 감각 언어인 컬러 이미지를 통해 여성 정치 지도자의 패션을 분석하고 연구하고자 한다. 그리고 여성 지도자들이 패션컬러를 통해 제시하는 휴먼이미지를 분석한다.

화염의 색상 및 동적 특성을 이용한 FFmpeg 기반 실시간 화염 검출 (Real-time Flame Detection Using Colour and Dynamic Features of Flame Based on FFmpeg)

  • 본 논문에서는 고화질 IP 카메라로부터 입력되는 영상으로부터 실시간으로 화염을 검출할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저 FFmpeg 라이브러리를 이용하여 비디오 파일을 오픈하는 것처럼 IP 카메라로부터 전송되는 RTSP 스트림을 직접 오픈한다. 두 번째는 입력영상으로부터 혼합 가우시안 모델을 이용하여 배경영상을 추출한다. 그 다음에는 입력 영상과 배경영상간의 차신호로부터 전경영상을 구한다. 분리된 전경영상은 수학적 모폴로지 연산을 거쳐 후보영역으로 간주한다. 후보영역의 색정보와 화염의 동적 특성을 분석하여 최종적으로 화염을 검출한다. 실험 결과를 통하여 제안하는 방법이 화염을 검출하는 데 효과적인 것을 보인다.

Detection of a Point Target Movement with SAR Interferometry

  • The interferometric correlation, or coherence, is calculated to measure the variance of the interferometric phase and amplitude within the neighbourhood of any location within the image at a result of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) interferometric process which utilizes the phase information of the images. The coherence contains additional information that is useful for detecting point targets which change their location in an area of interest (AOI). In this research, a RGB colour composite image was generated with a intensity image (master image), a intensity change image as a difference between master image and slave image, and a coherence image generated as a part of SAR interferometric processing. We developed a technique performing detection of a point target movement using SAR interferometry and applied it to suitable tandem pair images of ERS-1 and ERS-2 as test data. The possibility of change detection of a point target in the AOI could be identified with the technique proposed in this research.

  • The COMS IMPS (Communication Ocean and Meteorological Satellite IMage Pre-processing Subsystem) is developed for image pre-processing of COMS. For a test of the COMS IMPS, 7 support software are developed in KARI GS using simulated MI/GOCI WB (Wide-Band) data; COMS Fill Adder, MI (Meteorological Imager) CADU generator, GOCI (Geostationary Ocean Colour Imager) CADU generator, COMS CADU combiner, MI SD (Sensor Data) analyzer, GOCI SD analyzer, and COMS DM (Decomposition Module) test harness. This paper explains functions of developed support software and the COMS IMPS test using those software.

깊이감 향상을 위한 질감, 색온도, 대비비 관련 특성 연구 (A study on characteristics related to texture, colour temperature and contrast ratio to improve the depth of stereoscopic images)

  • 디지털 영상 제작 기술의 발전으로 입체 영상 기술의 개발도 활발히 이루어지고 있으며 이에 따라 입체 영상을 탑재하기 위한 첨단 디스플레이의 연구 및 개발도 동일하게 진행되고 있다. 3D 영상 시청 시 발생할 수 있는 다양한 문제점이 제시되고 있는데 시청자는 인위적 방식으로 제공되는 영상의 깊이감을 지각하면서 시각피로를 경험하기에 시각피로와 같은 부정적 휴먼 팩터가 가장 대두되는 이슈 중 하나이며, 3D 영상의 지속적 유지에 영향을 주는 요인이라 할 수 있다. 그러므로 2D 영상에서 제공되는 그래픽 영상 중 깊이감에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고 이를 통한 영상 처리 방법을 개발하여 시각 피로감 없는 입체 영상을 재현할 수 있다는 가정 아래 깊이감 관련 실험을 진행하고 이를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 깊이감 관련 요인 중 질감, 색온도, 대비비를 차등적으로 그래픽 영상에 적용하여 깊이감에 가장 큰 요인에 대해 분석하고 아노바 분산분석을 통해 교호작용을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 진행된 실험결과를 분석하여 깊이감과 관련 있는 요인의 유의미 여부를 정의하고 깊이감 향상을 위한 방안을 제시한다.

Non-square colour image scrambling based on two-dimensional Sine-Logistic and Hénon map

  • Image scrambling is an important technology in information hiding, where the Arnold transformation is widely used. Several researchers have proposed the application of $H{\acute{e}}non$ map in square image scrambling, and certain improved technologies require scrambling many times to achieve a good effect without resisting chosen-plaintext attack although it can be directly applied to non-square images. This paper presents a non-square image scrambling algorithm, which can resist chosen-plaintext attack based on a chaotic two-dimensional Sine Logistic modulation map and $H{\acute{e}}non$ map (2D-SLHM). Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has advantages in terms of key space, efficiency, scrambling degree, ability of anti-attack and robustness to noise interference.

Assessment of Accuracy of IKONOS Image Map, Traditional Orthophoto Map and Conventional Line Map of Kathmandu Valley : A Pilot Study

  • IKONOS image mapping is being considered a possible replacement to the traditional mapping in many countries due to their ease of access to current data and their potential high resolution. Survey Department of His Majesty's Government completed traditional orthophoto mapping of all urban and semi-urban areas of the country. The 1:5000 monochrome orthophoto maps of Kathmandu Valley were completed in 2003. In 2002, as a test, production of a near natural colour Image Map at 1:5000 scale of a part of Kathmandu Valley based on IKONOS data was carried out. A conventional line map plotting of the same area at 1:5000 was also prepared. The objective of the pilot project was to assess the geometric accuracy and the information content of these maps. The details of the study and their results are underlined. The findings of the study helps to explain whether IKONOS image map can replace conventional orthophoto map at 1:5,000 for urban areas of Nepal like Kathmandu.

  • In a square cavity, the flow phenomena in the surrounding of the bubble attached at the upper cooled solid wall were studied by using a thermo-sensitive liquid-crystal tracer and image processing techniques. This method offers the advantage of measuring the entire flow field in a selected plane within the fluid at a given instant of time in contrast to point by point method like T/C. Quantitative data of the temperature were obtained by applying a colour-image-processing to the. visualized image. As the growing of a bubble, In a bubble size appears the flow phenomena which the direction of flow is reversed in the entire temperature and flow field. The observed phenomena are described with regard to thermocapillary convection.

  • An automatic approach and strategy for extracting building information from aerial images using combined image analysis and interpretation techniques is described in this paper. A dense DSM is obtained by stereo image matching. Multi-band classification, DSM, texture segmentation and Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) are used to reveal building interest areas. Then, based on the derived approximate building areas, a shape modelling algorithm based on the level set formulation of curve and surface motion has been used to precisely delineate the building boundaries. Data fusion, based on the Dempster-Shafer technique, is used to interpret simultaneously knowledge from several data sources of the same region, to find the intersection of propositions on extracted information derived from several datasets, together with their associated probabilities. A number of test areas, which include buildings with different sizes, shape and roof colour have been investigated. The tests are encouraging and demonstrate that the system is effective for building extraction, and the determination of more accurate elevations of the terrain surface.
