반응형 음이온화제의 정전기적 인력에 의한 베르베린 색소의 염착성 향상 (Dyeability Improvement of Berberine Colorant by Electrostatic Attractive Force of a Reactive Anionic Agent)

  • To be dyed with cationic Berberine, the cotton fiber was modified with reactive anionic agent. The Berberine, a natural cationic colorant of pure yellow, is the major component of Amur Cork tree extract and also can be employed as a natural antimicrobial agent due to its characteristic of cationic quaternary ammonium salt. By LC/MS analysis, it became obvious that the Berberine was contained in Amur Cork tree extract as a major color component. The adsorption of the Berberine on the cotton fabrics pretreated with the anionic agent was greatly increased comparing to that of untreated fabric. Because the anionic agent was colorless, it did not cause unintended color change of the dyeings. The dyed fabric with the Berberine has strong antimicrobial activity showing 99.5% of reduction of bacteria against Staphylococcu aureus.

Color Change Redox Behavior of the 1,3-Squaraine Dyes

  • The 1,3-bis(4-aminoaryl)squaraines showed color, change behavior, they were found to undergo reduction with sodium borohydride in solution to give colorless leuco compounds, which oxidized readily in air back to the colored squaraine dye. We have shown that initial observations indicated that the derivatives synthesized gave new donor-acceptor chromophores. It is also interesting to note than the oxidation of the leuco squaraines did initially produce a species absorbing about 630-680 wavelengths. The 1,3-squaraines have found many uses as near-infrared absorbers, laser dyes and photoconductive materials. Furthermore their color-change redox behavior has potential in the area of peroxidase-based bioassaysas oxidation sensitive indicator systems were investigated.

  • Substance A, white prismatic crystal, mp $134{\sim}135,\;C_{29}H_{50}O$, substance B, white needle crystal, mp $131{\sim}132^{\circ},\;C_{17}H_{28}O_4$ and substance C colorless oils, bp $84{\sim}85,\;C_{15}H_{24}O$ were isolated from the underground portion of Valeriana fauriei var. dasycarpa $H_{ARA}$(Valerianaceae) according to Thies method. Substance A was confirmed as known sterol, ${\beta}-sitosterol$ by chemical and spectral discussions. Substance B was estimated as hitherto unknown sesquiterpenoid, 11-acetoxylhydroxyvaleranone by chemical and spectral discussions. Substance C was proposed as hitherto unknown sesquiterpenoid 1, 4-dimethyl-7-isopropenyl 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10-hexahydroazulene-1-ol by chemical and spectral discussions, and the general biogenetic considerations.

왕초피나무 Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai의 성분연구(成分硏究)(I) (Studies on the Constituents of Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai)

  • Pericarp of Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai have been used as a crude medicine for the treatment of ozena, rheumatoid, nasal sinusitis, meno-xenia, dyspepsia, toothache, sore throat, pains in the limbs, etc. in Korea. A sterol fraction and two compounds, compound I and II were isolated from the roots, stems, leaves of Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai. The sterol fraction was identified as a mixture of ${\beta}-sitosterol$ and campesterol. Compound I, colorless prismatic crystals, $C_{13]H_{13}NO_4$, mp. $175{\sim}177^{\circ}$, was proved to be skimmianine which is one of the alkaloids and compound II, $C_{14}H_{28}O_2$, mp. $53{\sim}55^{\circ}$, white powdered crystals was identified as myristic acid.

Spectral Properties of a pH Responsive Water Soluble Spironaphthoxazine and Its Multi-Switching Property

  • A water soluble spironaphthoxazine (SPO) was synthesized, and its spectral properties were determined. Under UV irradiation, colorless SPO shows intensive blue color while the intensity of its initial fluorescence decreased. In addition, SPO also exhibited high sensitivity to pH stimuli both in colorimetry and fluorometry distinguishing from the spectral appearance observed under UV irradiation. Further, integrating these two optical characteristics a three-state switching system can be established, and all interconversions can be observed by naked-eye.

  • 토양으로부터 분리되고 세포외로 pepsin 저해물질을 생산하는 Actinomycetes GF 155-2의 플라스크 배양에 의한 pepsin 저해물질 최적배양조건은 2% glucose, 0.7% polypeptone, 초기 pH7.0, 배양 60시간, 배양온도 3$0^{\circ}C$였으며 무기염의 효과는 크게 영향이 없었다. 발효조 배양물 5ι를 유안염석하여 methanol로 추출한 후 활성탄에 흡착하고 Amber-lite IR-120, XAD-2 및 silicagel 60 column chromatography한 결과 약 15mg의 무색 침상물질을 수득하였다.

  • Sapphire crystals were grown by Horizontal Bridgman method. The effects of sliding rate (growth rate) of Molybdenum container, growth atmosphere, temperature gradient and orientation of see on crystal qualities were investigated. The size of the crystals grown was up to 150-200 mm in length, 90 mm in width and 25-35 mm in thickness. Crystals grown under the optimum conditions were colorless, transparent and could not be observed and macroscopic defects, such as bubbles, cracks, twins and mosaic structure. With the grown crystals, prototypes of sapphire substrate for blue wafers were characterized. As a result, we can get hight quality of sapphire wafers with c-axis, 1.5 inches in diameters and 0.33 mm in thickess.

  • In 2005, harmful dinoflagellate Cochlodinium polykrikoides was first occurred on July 18 and disappeared on September 12 in the Yeosu waters of the South Sea of Korea. During C. polykrikoides blooms, the species of Protoperidinium was isolated from Jabong Island in Yeosu in the middle of August, 2005. The surface water temperature at the sampling site was $25^{\circ}C$, and salinity was 33.1 psu. The specimen was somewhat large in size and was longer than its width. The shape was close to being ovoid, with an apical horn. This study discovered cells with colorless and transparent ingested chain-forming C. polykrikoides. However, this species was not abundant, implying low grazing impact on C. polykkoides.

  • A series novel films of polyimide (PI) and co-polyimide (Co-PI) containing fluorine with colorless, flexible properties was prepared by a two-step process from various commercial aromatic monomers such as 4,4'-(Hexafluoro iso propylidene) diphthalic anhydride (6FDA), 2,2'-Bis(Trifluoromethyl) benzidine (TFDB), 2,2-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane (AH6FP) and Bis(4-(3-aminophenoxy)phenyl)sulfone (BAS). Furthermore, these obtained transparent and flexible Co-PI films exhibited excellent thermal stability with the decomposition temperature (at 5% weight loss) around of $500^{\circ}C$ and the glass transition temperature ($T_g$) in the range of $275-350^{\circ}C$.

구강외과 영역에 있어서 Ketamine HC1의 임상적 고찰 (The Clinical Study of Ketamine HC1 on Oral Surgery)

  • Ketamine HC1(Phencyclidine derivative) is a white, crystalline substance with melting point 259℃. It is soluble in water to a 20% clear, colorless solution. a 10% aqueous solution has a pH 3.5. The chemical structure is 2-(O-chlorophenyl)-2-(methylamino) cyclohexanone hydrochloride. It is a rapid acting, nonhypnotic, nonbarbiturate drug with a wide safety margin. The author used the anesthetic ketamine hydrochloride for oral surgery procedure in 16 patients(2 to 33 years). Anesthesia was achieved with a single intramuscular injection by introduction of manufacture. Result obtained as follows : 1. It was easily administered. 2. Onset time was rapid and duration was short. 3. The mild cardiac stimulation resulted in moderate increase in the blood pressure and pulse. 4. There was no significant respiratory depression. 5. The airway can be maintained without artificial support or endotracheal intubation. 6. All protective reflex maintained, which was important in oral surgery. 7. The best results were achieved in pediatric patients than adults.
