The objective of this paper is to provide an automatic color image testing system capable of synthetically testing a color element like a color tone and a luminance for a color image displayed on the screen, using a CCD camera and a microprocess. The system consists of a CCD camera, a line conveyor, a camera driving part, a remocon, a remote sensing part, a display and a PC including a color vision board and a CPU board. By applying the system to a process, reliability for a testing result can be improved and the absolute criterion to judge a part can be made.

Art has always been a witness to its time. The art of our century has lived through two world war. In that time Friedensreich Hundertwasser was born to a half Jewish family in Vienna in 1928. He lived and died as a painter, architect, designer, ecologist, writer, innovator... etc. He was impressed form Gustav Klimt, who pioneered the Viennese Secession which was the Austrian expression of the Art-Nouveau mouvement and inspired by the works of Egon Schiele from an early date. His style as an architect was heavily influenced by Antonio Gaudi and some of the Jugendstil architects. Although his architectural work is comparable to Gaudi in its biomorphic forms and use of tile, but is currently renowned for his unique styling. His character as follows; First, Bold color - His use of color is bold, and he has a strong sense of which color work well together. Second, Curved line & Spiral - It's the primary shapes in his works against the tyranny of ugliness and the iron rule of its straight line. Spiral reveal as a transautomaism. Third, Harmony with nature - His work is the creator of beauty, of nature of harmony, peace of joy, against the contradictions of our post-industrial society. He represented these various characteristics in his works. Hundertwasser first achieved notoriety for his boldly-colored painting, he is more widely renowned today for his revolutionary architectural designs.

The purpose of this study is to develope a creative expression technique in fashion illustration through analyzing applied techniques of the elements related to creative expressions in fashion illustrations. They were investigated in view of line, form, texture, color, space and the results were summarized as follows. In the creative expression using line in the fashion illustration. emotional effects of line created by specific character of mediums and duplicated lines have been applied to visualize movements of the objects. In shape, the transformed figure by destructing. covering or eliminating a part of the figure or the dress has been adapted. In texture. the invented texture reconstructed from actual texture has been applied, collage technique. computer graphic being used to give various images of texture. The creative expressions using color have been achieved by the shading. and spreading effects and the symbolic meaning of color for creating a spatiality in a picture plane and to give emotional effects and visual concentricity. In space, the color perspective together with detailed description. the combination of various points of view and liner perspective have been used to create depth and illusional space in pictorial plane.

Currently, subway is becoming a major part of transportation and living environment in large cities such as Seoul or Hong Kong. As the numbers of subway lines and stations increase, visual cues indicating places are needed for users with various destinations, and environmental colors as well as line colors can be expected as effective informations for easy wayfinding. The purpose of this study is to understand the current color applications in terms of creating regional differentiation and informing subway lines in the transfer stations of Seoul and Hong Kong, by field investigation. The investigation has been proceed on 24 transfer stations from February to April, 2009 by taking photos and measuring environmental colors using Minolta spectrophotometer CM-2600d. As a result, regional differentiation in color application appeared generally low in both Seoul and Hong Kong but various 'hues' differing each station are used in Hong Kong, compared to limited use of 'hues' in Seoul, In terms of 'value', the rate of Seoul appeared lightly higher than that of Hong Kong, and the use of medium high rate of 'saturation' of main and secondary colors are shown as a remarkable character of Hong Kong.

In this study, an experiment was made using the function of comfuter simulation as to whether the phenomenon of color optical il-lusion takes place also in clothing on the humanbody, three-dimensional space, through the case study of the color illusing of Goethe Value. One fat woman was slected as the exper-imental subject. She was made to wear the ex-perimental clothing, and then frontal picture was projected of in the experimental clothing, which was sacanned into the computer. For the sake of color illusion effect, construct 5 clothing design line and Yellow(9), Black(0), Red(6), Green(6). The basic design and the experimental de-sign were made one pair, and the pictures totalled 20 pictures. The extimating panel con-sist of 25 panellers and extimate factors of 9-point Scale. All the date from the experiment were analyzed by ANOVA and DUNCAN'S MUL-TIPLE RANGE. As a result, the experimental design all showed a significant optical illusion without C group in comparision with the basic design.

In this paper, a novel text binarization is presented that can deal with some complex conditions, such as shadows, non-uniform illumination due to highlight or object projection, and messy backgrounds. To locate the target text region, a focus line is assumed to pass through a text region. Next, connected component analysis and stroke width estimation based on location information of the focus line is used to locate the bounding box of the text region, and each box of connected components. A series of classifications are applied to identify whether each CC(Connected component) is text or non-text. Also, a modified K-means clustering method based on an HCL color space is applied to reduce the color dimension. A text binarization procedure based on location of text component and seed color pixel is then used to generate the final result.

This study was performed to provide basic information of the development and breeding of new cultivars of Hibiscus syriacus L., which have more beautiful and diverse flowers. Morphological characteristics of the flowers and leaves, and genetic variation of the flowers color of two Jeoktanshim-line cultivars, Bulsae and Pyungsung, were crossed each other. The result of the cross between Bulsae and Pyungsung are as follows: Mean flower height and width were 5.35 cm and 7.69 cm, respectively. Mean length and width of petal were 5.43 cm and 3.80 cm respectively, and mean length and width of flower pistil were 4.67 cm and 0.44 cm, respectively. The flower color of all ten individuals was the color of the Jeoktanshim-line, and Pyungsung, and all flower type were I-c type.

정보화 사회에서 정보의 양은 기술의 발달로 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 그로 인해 정보의 다양화와 복잡성 또한 증가하여 빠른 정보처리에 어려움을 주고 있다. 정보의 복잡성 속에 정보의 구조화, 범주화는 사용자가 쉽게 정보에 접근할 수 있게 만들며 처리 속도도 빠르게 해 준다. 본 연구는 정보의 범주화에서 색을 통한 범주화가 정보처리 속도 향상에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 실험적으로 확인해 보려 한다. 실험 1은 복잡한 정보를 가진 노선도에서 역을 찾는 과제를 시행 하였을 때, target 역 이름의 색과 노선의 색이 동일 할 때 그렇지 않는 경우 보다 탐색시간을 빠름을 보여주고자 한다. 그리고 실험2는 단어 분류 과제에서 색의 범주화가 단어의미 범주화 보다 빨리 처리되며, 색의 대비가 클 때 더 효과적임을 보여 주고자 한다.

The present study investigated the digital color characteristics corresponding to different maturity stages and maturation levels of white croaker Pennahia argentatus specimens collected from the Southern Sea of South Korea. Maturity stages were determined using photomicrographs depicting ovarian developmental phases and compared with digital color values. The specimens ranged in body length from 21-36 cm, with mature ovaries observed within the 24-30 cm length range. To differentiate the maturing, mature, spawning, and post-spawning stages of the gonads, boundary lines were established based on specific coordinates. For the ovaries, a dividing line was drawn through (-10, -10) and (15, 5), described by the equation Y=3/5X-4; while for the testes, the line passed through (20, 0) and (0, 15), indicated by the equation Y=-3/4X+15. However, the visual determination of the maturity stages proved challenging due to overlapping color values. Consequently, this study underscores the efficacy of employing digital color measurements over subjective visual assessments to evaluate the maturity of white croaker gonads and offers more quantitative insights.
