음허증 측정도구의 개발 및 신뢰도 타당도 검정 (Development of Yin-Deficiency Questionnaire and Examine the Reliability and Validity)

  • The purpose of this study is the develop a questionnaire for measuring Yin-Deficiency and examine the reliability and validity for its' value as a barometer for evaluating Yin-Deficiency. Questionnaire was developed according to the symptoms of Yin-Deficiency suggested in the 'Standardization of diagnostic terms and requirements of Korean Medicine', With and as a reference, each symptom has been worked on to be put on the questionnaire. Visual analogue scales(VAS) was used as a barometer for measuring frequency of manifestation of symptoms. A study was performed to measure validity and reliability of the final questionnaire for analysis. reliability of YinDQ was measured by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and test-retest method. This study utilized factor analysis and clinical validity for evaluation of validity. For the purpose of decreasing the amount of data-the number of factors, and at the same time minimize the loss of information factor analysis was performed Component factors were extracted using Principal Component Analysis. This study evaluated the clinical validity for examination of difference between the normal group and the patient group. Evaluation on the's internal consistency showed strong internal consistency with value of 0.8615. reliability from test-rest with three-week interval, followed by comparisons of the correlation coefficient and mean values of each item between the two. The Spearman correlation coefficient was 0.54-0.79. By factor analyse two factors with Eigen value of greater than 2.2 were selected. Factor 1 consists of items of 'irritable fever on the five Hearts', 'flushing of the zygomatic region in the afternoon', 'tidal fever', 'night sweats', and 'dryness on the mouth or the throat'. Factor two consists of items of 'emaciation', 'dizziness', 'insomnia', 'decreased amount of urine with yellowish color', and 'constipation'. The comparison between the patient group and the normal group showed significant differences for every ten questions. The results implies that YinDQ is a barometer with sufficient reliability and validity. The questionnaire for Yin-Deficiency may not be enough to replace the specific differential diagnosis by a doctor of Oriental medicine. Nevertheless, it can be effectively utilized as an assisting method in consultation or a method of measuring the degree of Yin-Deficiency in a group.

모혈(募穴)의 탄력(彈力) 상태(狀態) 측정(測定)에 의한 허실(虛實) 진단(診斷) 연구(硏究) (Study for the Deficiency and Excessiveness Diagnosis in the Front Point by Elastic State)

  • The meridian system is the most essential and basic connecting structure that maintains the vital activities of viscera and bowels by connecting them with each part of body's surface. Doctors can understand the healthy condition, and the region and deficiency-excessiveness of disease by observing the condition of Qi flowing. Deficiency and excessiveness could be differentiated by various symptoms expressed in meridian system. Especially there could be several clues like pain, heat-cold, protuberance-depression, change of color and shine in the line of channel leads to the judgment of deficiency-excessiveness The diagnosis of deficiency and excessiveness can be generalized by quantification of elastic status in skin surface along the meridian system. By comparing data from measurement of elastic condition with those from traditional deficiency and excessiveness, it could be utilized for the development of oriental medicine. All biological activities in the human body are based on meridian system according to the oriental medicine. Also the meridian system is viewed as basic and essential structure connecting internal viscera and each part of body. The areas of expressed channel phenomena are muscle to bone, muscle to muscle and bone to bone. These areas are called depression where meridian system is present and any changing state on those points can be measured. It could be difficult in diagnosing the reaction of meridian system because doctor can depend on his own judgment. Therefore, it is necessary to quantify and indexate channel reactions. To quantify the channel reactions, specially manufactured instrument was used to quantify the protuberance and depression to differentiate the deficiency and excessiveness. The results follow as below; 1. The elastic index measurement by the equipment proved a pattern of agreement showing the values that ranged within standard deviation 0.05kgf/cm throughout the experiment except few cases' measurement in CV-17. 2. To evaluate the state of deficiency & excessiveness of elastic index measurements in frontal point, elastic index measurements in the front paint were compared to the elastic index measured surrounding the point within 2.5 cm. Such result of indexing procedure was closely matched to the concept of palpitation. 3. If the elastic index values in the surrounding front point closely located to the elastic index values in the front point, the judgement on the state of deficiency and excessiveness was delayed. Otherwise, it was judged as deficiency or excessiveness. 4. Out of total 12 cases of comparing the elastic index values to the elastic index values in the surrounding front point, Three to nine front points were judged as either in the state of deficiency or excessiveness. 5. Among the nine front points judged as either in the state of deficiency or excessiveness, Four cases were matched to the electric index measured by EAV that evaluating the internal organs by five different phases. If more clinical cases are accumulated, it is expected to systematically theorize and improve the concept of deficiency and excessiveness in the internal organs using the front point.

침구류 디자인 선호도와 구매동기에 관한연구 -색과무늬를 중심으로- (A Study on Bedclothes Design Preferences and Purchase Motives)

  • The objectives of this study were to classify bedclothes purchase motives and to examine how bedclothes purchase mo-tives and design preferences very accord-ing to age and income. Samples were 217 housewives residing in metropolitan area. Questionnaire included 17 Likert type items of bedclothes pur-chase motive measure 12 items of color preference 7 items of pattern (floral geo-metric abstract stripe plaid polka dot, and paisley pattern). The results of the study were as fol-lows. 1. 5 factors of bedclothes purchase mo-tives were derived by factor analysis ; F .1 'design': F 2. "brand' ; F.3. 'deficiency'; F. 4. 'fabric' F.5. 'economical reason' 2. Subjects perceived design and utility area to be important motives for bed-clothes purchase. 3. Cholor preference of bedclothes was in the order of white pale blue pale green and pale orange. Pattern preference was in the order of stripe plaid solid color floral and polka dot pattern. The combi-nation of patterned fabric and solid color fabric was liked better than the combina-tion of analogic color and the combination of contrasting color. 4. The women in their 20's liked navy blue red stripe plaid pattern and solied color better than 30's and 40's . 40's liked abstract and paisley pattern better then 20's and 30's 5. Low income group lied navy blue and solid color fabric more than the mid-dle and high income group and liked ab-stract pattern less than the middle and high income group. 6. Women in their 20's perceived design to be important motive more than 30's and 40's. 30's perceived brand to be im-portant motive than 20's and 40's 7. High income group perceived design to be important motive more than the middle and low income group. Low in-come group perceived brand and fabric to be less important motives than the middle and high income group, The present findings provide that age and income had a significant effect on bedclothes purchase motives and design preferences of houesewives. The results that white color and the combination of patterned fabric and solid color fabric were liked best indicated that women prefered clean image and chacteristics de-sign of bdeclothes.

『동의보감(東醫寶鑑)』의 '형기론(形氣論)'에 대한 소고 (A View on Hyung-Ki in Donguibogam)

  • The narration of "Donguibogam" is focused on humans whilst medical books before it focused on diseases. This is shown from the first subtitle of External Body(身形門) chapter, [The Origin of Hyung-Ki(形氣之始)]. The contents of [The Origin of Hyung-Ki] explains that the human body is composed of 'Hyung(形)' and 'Ki(氣)' This perspective is shown throughout "Donguibogam". First, in the aspect of construction, the viewpoint is shown from the JipRye(集例). It divides the body into inside and outside, which is a result of Hyung-Ki perspective. This continues in the table of contents. Naegyeongpyeon(內景) and Oehyeongpyeon(外形) describes the inside and outside of the body, in other words 'Hyung-Ki'. Japbyeongpyeon(雜病) describes complex illnesses with mixed insides and outsides. Tangaekpyeon(湯液) and Chimgupyeon(鍼灸) can be understood as division of treatment methods into inside and outside. When we look at the contents, the human body is created on the basis of the essence and vital energy of the world. Cheon-Ki becomes the 'Ki' that forms the functions of the body, while Ji-Ki becomes the 'Hyung' that constructs the bodily structure. It is considered that 'Hyung' is composed of SaDae(the body essence, vital energy, mentality and blood), and 'Ki' is composed of OSang(the five Jang organs and six Bu organs). 'Hyung' and 'Ki' show various appearances according to physiology and pathology. 'Hyung' is especially shown by obesity or thinness, 'Ki' by color. The obese may have Ki deficiency, coldness, dampness or phlegm. The thin could have blood deficiency, heat, fire or dryness. The color could show the pathology of the five Jang organs by the five colors, but it can simply be divided into black and white, where black means Eum deficiency, and white means Yang deficiency. It is said that the distinctive feature of traditional Korean medicine is that it is a constitutional medicine. In this perspective, further study on 'Hyung-Ki' is of value. If "Donguibogam" was the foundation of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine(四象醫學), study on 'Hyung-Ki' means searching for the origin of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Also, the study on Sasang Constitutional Medicine and Hyungsang medicine(形象醫學) will show the modern image of "Donguibogam". Hence, interchange study between "Donguibogam", Sasang Constitutional Medicine and Hyungsang medicine through the term 'Hyung-Ki' could hopefully lead to academic progression.

질소 시비농도가 잎들깨의 생육, 생리장해 발현 및 무기원소 함량에 미치는 영향 (Growth, Deficiency Symptom and Tissue Nutrient Contents of Leaf Perilla (Perilla frutesens) as Influenced by Nitrogen Concentrations in the Fertigation Solution)

  • 본 연구는 질소의 시비농도를 인위적으로 조절하여 잎들깨를 관비재배 하면서 질소의 시비수준이 생장과 결핍증상 발현에 미치는 영향을 구명하고, 생육을 우수하게 유지할 수 있는 식물체 및 토양의 한계농도를 밝히기 위하여 수행하였다. 질소 무시비구에서 지상부 식물생육의 심한 억제 현상과 노엽의 엽신 전체가 황화된 후 점차 괴사하는 결핍증상이 나타났다. 질소 시비농도가 높아질수록 정식 75일 후의 생체중과 건물중이 무거워졌고, 엽병 추출액의 $NO_3-N$ 농도와 토양 $NO_3-N$ 농도가 높아졌으나, 20mM 시비구에서는 질소과잉증상이 나타났다. $10{\sim}15mM$ 시비구에서 가장 바람직한 생장을 보였으며, 이때의 질소 함량은 건물중 기준으로 $0.9{\sim}1.25%$, 엽병추출액 및 1:2 추출법으로 분석한 토양의 $NO_3-N$ 농도가 각각 $800{\sim}3,300mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$$28.7{\sim}47.3mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 범위에 포함되었다.

  • Seop-Gye divided up the constitution's strength and weakness, and so he cured disease by the 'cold and heat'. 'deficiency and excessiveness' means on the basis of the YINㆍYANG of constitution. He classified constitution with pathogenesis grounding in body formal distinction, flesh hardness and softness, face color and form, skin color. Therefore he grasped the rule of constitution connected with physiological function and pathological distinction, applied the rule of constitution in the diagnosis and cure of the chronic & epidemic febrile disease.

Examining the star formation properties of Virgo galaxies undergoing ram pressure stripping

  • Understanding how ram pressure stripping (RPS) affects the star formation activity of cluster galaxies is one of the important issues in astrophysics. To examine whether we can identify any discernible trend in the star formation activity of galaxies undergoing ram pressure stripping, we study the star formation properties of galaxies in the Virgo cluster for which high-resolution HI images are available. We first classify galaxies in the Extended Virgo Cluster Catalog into different stages of RPS based on their HI morphology, HI deficiency, and location in phase space. We then examine various star formation activity indicators of these galaxies, which include starburstiness, g - r color, and WISE [3.4]-[12] color. No noticeable enhancement in star formation was identified for galaxies undergoing early or active stripping. Our results suggest that star formation activity at best seems to be enhanced locally in such galaxies, making it challenging to detect with integrated photometry. With the combination of HI deficiencies and locations in phase space, we were instead able to capture the overall quenching of star formation activity with increasing degree of ram pressure stripping, which agree with previous studies.

Quadtree를 사용한 색상-공간 특징과 객체 MBR의 질감 정보를 이용한 영상 검색 (Image Retrieval based on Color-Spatial Features using Quadtree and Texture Information Extracted from Object MBR)

  • 본 논문은 이미지에서 Quadtree를 이용한 색상-공간 특징 추출과 이미지 내에 포함되어 있는 객체의 MBR(Minimum Boundary Rectangie)을 구하여 질감 정보를 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 각 이미지로부터 DC 이미지를 만들고 색상 좌표계를 변환한 후, Quadtree를 이용하여 영역을 분할한다. 영역의 분한 기준은 제안된 조건에 의하여 이루어지며, 각 분할된 영역으로부터 대표 색상을 추출한다. 그리고, 이미지 분할(segmentation)을 통하여 각 이미지의 객체, 객체를 포함한 배경, 또는 일부 배경의 MBR을 구하고, 제안된 알고리즘에 의하여 검색된 MBR의 웨이블릿 계수(wavelet coefficients)를 계산한다. 이 계수들이 MBR의 질감 정보가 되며, 추출된 색상-공간 정보와 질감 정보를 이용하여 제안된 유사도 계산 방법을 통하여 결과를 나타내게 된다. 제안된 방법은 원 이미지(original image)에 비해 특징 정보의 저장 공간을 53% 감소시켰으며, 성능은 유사하게 나타났다. 그리고, 질감 정보를 추가함으로써, 색상-공간 특징의 단점인 객체 정보의 손실을 보완하였고, 질의 이미지의 객체를 포함한 검색 결과를 보였다.

특발성 피로의 사상체질 및 기혈변증 설진 분석 (Tongue of Fatigue by Classification of Sasang Constitution and Qi Blood Pattern Identification)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relevance of Sasang constitution, Qi Blood pattern identification, and tongue diagnosis in subjects complaining of fatigue.Methods Seventy-three subjects who complained of fatigue were assessed using the Chalder Fatigue Scale, tongue diagnosis, pattern identification questionnaire and Sasang constitution diagnosis. The association of tongue diagnosis with Qi Blood pattern identification and Sasang constitution was evaluated.Results 1. There was no significant association between tongue diagnosis and Sasang constitution.2. Tongue color, which is one of the diagnostic indicators in tongue diagnosis, was redder in the Qi stagnation group than in the Qi deficiency and Blood deficiency groups.Conclusions Tongue diagnosis can be utilized in future if proper research regarding Sasang constitution and Sasang constitution pattern identification is conducted.

단어-색채검사를 이용한 렌즈의 색상과 시감투과율에 따른 색상왜곡에 관한 연구 (A Study on Color Distortion according to Colors and Luminous Transmittance of Lenses using Word-color Test)

  • 목적: 전산화 신경인지기능 검사(CNT)에 속해있는 단어-색채검사를 이용하여 렌즈의 색상과 시감투과율에 의해 나타나는 색상왜곡을 알아본다. 방법: 안질환과 색각이상이 없는 평균나이 $21.97{\pm}1.58$세의 32명을 대상자로 선정하였다. 빛의 삼원색에 해당하는 red, green, blue에 pink를 추가하여 총 4가지 색상의 렌즈를 사용하였으며, 색상왜곡으로 인한 인지변화를 측정하기 위해 CNT 중 단어-색채검사를 사용하였다. 결과: 4가지 렌즈색상 중 green, blue, pink에서는 반응시간이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하지 않았으나, red에서는 통계적으로 유의하게 반응시간이 증가하였다. Red 중 시감투과율 46% 이하에서 반응시간이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하기 시작하였다. 결론: 46% 이하의 시감투과율을 가지는 red 렌즈는 사물을 보는데 색상왜곡의 원인으로 작용하여 안전문제를 일으킬 수 있으므로 렌즈색상으로 선택 시 주의를 기울여야 한다. 단어-색채검사가 색상인지와 관련되는 추후 연구에 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다는 것을 제안한다.
