In this paper, we present a self-localization method for mobile robots using vertical line features of indoor environment. When a 2D map including feature points and color information is given, a mobile robot moves to the destination, and acquires images by one camera from the surroundings having vertical line edges. From the image, vertical line edges are detected, and pattern vectors meaning averaged color values of the left and right region of each line segment are computed. The pattern vectors are matched with the feature points of the map using the color information and the geometrical relationship of the points. From the perspective transformation of the corresponded points, nonlinear equations are derived. Localization is carried out from solving the equations by using Newton's method. Experimental results show that the proposed method using mono view is simple and applicable to indoor environment.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the preference and the use of the bedclothes. The data were obtained from market research of 12 department stores which were located in Seoul, Daegu and Busan, and from questionnaires completed by 356 women in Daegu area whose age was 20 years and older. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which includes frequency, percentage, $X^2$test, ANOVA, and Scheffe test. Cotton was the most popular fiber for coverings and fillings. Color preference was in the order of pastel, non-chromatic, vivid, and white color and pattern preference was in order of floral, check, and stripe pattern. Practicality, color and fabric were the most important factors and price was the most unsatisfied factor when bedclothes were purchased. Also, information for bedclothes was obtained mainly through internet shopping, home shopping or catalog shopping.

패턴인식은 주위 환경을 관찰하는 방법, 배경으로부터 관심있는 패턴을 구분하는 방법, 소리를 얻는 방법, 그리고 패턴 범주들 중에서 타당한 결정을 얻는 방법에 관한 연구이다. 패턴인식 시스템을 설계할 때 필수적으로 1) 데이터의 획득과 전처리, 2) 데이터의 표현, 3) 결정방법 선택과 같은 세 가지 사항을 고려해야한다. 그 이유는 영상을 획득하기 위한 센서의 선택, 전처리 기법, 표현 기법, 의사결정 모델에 따라 인식의 결과가 달라질 수 있기 때문이다. 컬러영상은 다양한 컬러 패턴으로 구성된다. 대부분의 패턴인식 방법은 훈련되어진 컬러정보를 사용하여 컬러의 특징을 추출한다. 본 논문은 몇 가지 제한된 컬러를 가진 영상으로부터 특정한 컬러 패턴을 적응적으로 추출한다. 컬러 패턴의 수가 한정되어 있기 때문에 영상에서 컬러의 분포가 유사하다. 그러나, 영상에 잡음이나 열화가 존재하면, 그 분포가 변화한다. 그러므로 이미 알고 있는 컬러정보를 가지고 특정한 컬러의 특징을 추출할 수 없다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 유사한 컬러 패턴을 가진 영상에 대하여 특정한 컬러의 특징을 적응적으로 추출함으로서 인식의 오류를 감소시킬 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 실험하기 위하여 열화가 적은 표본영상을 사용하고, 잡음과 열화가 포함된 여섯 가지의 검사영상을 사용한다. 결론적으로 제안한 방법이 통계적인 패턴인식의 결과보다 정확한 결과를 보여준다.

본 논문은 새로운 에지 방향 추정 방법과 영상의 영역 세분화에 기반을 둔 컬러 보간 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 에지 방향 추정은 컬러 필터 배열(color filter array: CFA)의 채널 별 분리와 표본 줄임(down-sampling)을 통해 획득한 영상 사이에 존재하는 에지 방향성 상관관계를 바탕으로 이루어진다. 에지 방향성 상관관계는 영상 간의 샘플링 위치와 각 영상의 국부위치에서의 에지 방향성 사이에 존재하는 방향의 유사성을 바탕으로 정의한다. 영상의 영역을 분류함에 있어서 평탄, 에지 영역뿐만 아니라 반복되는 에지가 나타나는 패턴 에지 영역을 구분함으로써 영역을 세분화 한다. 이렇게 구분한 영역 각각에 대해 수직 혹은 수평 방향 에지를 검출하여 에지 방향에 따라 보간함으로써 오류를 최소화 하는 에지 방향성 컬러 보간이 이루어진다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 방법이 기존 방법에 비해 수치적인 면과 시각적인 면에서 뛰어난 결과를 보임을 확인할 수 있으며, 제안하는 영역 세분화와 에지 방향 추정을 통해 영상의 고주파 영역에서 성능이 향상됨을 확인할 수 있다.

In this paper, a new traffic sign detection algorithm.. and a symbol recognition algorithm are proposed. For traffic sign detection, a dominant color transform is introduced, which serves as a tool of highlighting a dominant primary color, while discarding the other two primary colors. For symbol recognition, the curvilinear shape distribution on a circle centered on the centroid of symbol, called a circular pattern vector, is used as a spatial feature of symbol. The circular pattern vector is invariant to scaling, translation, and rotation. As simulation results, the effectiveness of traffic sign detection and recognition algorithms are confirmed, and it is shown that group of circular patter vectors based on concentric circles is more effective than circular pattern vector of a single circle for a given equivalent number of elements of vectors.

본 논문에서는 SLM(TFT LCD)과 광굴절 결정을 이용하며 실시간으로 처리할 수 있는 칼라 패턴인식 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 인식하고자 하는 문자패턴을 SLM을 이용하여 제어하고, 우수한 각도 선택성과 광굴절 특성을 갖는 LiNbO$_3$(두께 10mm) 결정을 기록 매질로 사용하였다. 제안된 광학 시스템에 의해 빨간색과 녹색 칼라 패턴의 모양 정보와 칼라 정보를 각각 다른 위치에서 실시간 처리로 확연히 판별해서 인식할 수 있었다.

We propose a content-based image retrieval system that uses a combination of completed local binary pattern (CLBP) and color autocorrelogram. CLBP features are extracted on a multi-resolution multi-direction filtered domain of value component. Color autocorrelogram features are extracted in two dimensions of hue and saturation components. Experiment results revealed that the proposed method yields a lot of improvement when compared with the methods that use partial features employed in the proposed method. It is also superior to the conventional CLBP, the color autocorrelogram using R, G, and B components, and the multichannel decoded local binary pattern which is one of the latest methods.

물체컬러식별 임베디드시스템을 프로세서 기반으로 구현하고 물체를 식별 분류하는 무인물류관리 시스템을 제한한다. 임베디드시스템 구현은 초음파 센서를 이용하여 물체의 유무와 거리를 추출하고 USB CCD 카메라로부터 이진영상을 획득한다. 영상식별 알고리듬은 입력영상에 대해 컬러 검출한 패턴을 기준패턴과 비교 식별하여 지정된 랙에 이동 저장한다. 실험결과 무인화 창고관리 로봇기능으로 실용가능성을 제시하였다.

Internet shopping has transformed our daily lives as well as the pattern of consumption. In the word, the development and the growth of online shopping site have led to new pattern of consumption. This applies in particular to clothing, among the product on sale, on the internet. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristic of colors and images on internet fashion soho mall web site, and to provide efficient color information which is usefull in color planning and suitable for brand image on fashion web site. 147 color sample used by 40 fashion soho mall web site were collected and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, dominant color on fashion web site is static color as black and it's ratio is 33$\%$. Second, G color is not used. Third, Hue and tone mainly used It tone of P color except V tone. And the color image on internet fashion soho mall web site are modern, chic, dandy, formal. Results from analyzing the fashion soho mall Web site. it is important to unity the company's image but its more important to make a color plan considering the sites feature and the customers's sensitivity.
