DiffServ 방식에서 플로별 관리 없이 Assured Service의 End-to-End QoS를 향상하기위한 Aggregate Three Color Marker (An Aggregate Three Color Marker without Per Flow Management for End-to-End QoS Improvement of Assured Service in DiffServ)

  • 본 논문은 Diffserv 방식에서 플로별 관리없이 Assured Service의 End-to-End 005를 향상시키기 위해 DiffServ 도메인의 입구라우터에서 플로별 관리를 수행하지 않는 Aggregate Three Color Marker를 제안하였다. 제안하는 Aggregate Three Color Marker는 Diffserv 방식에서 개별 플로에 대한 관리 없이 Assured Service의 QoS를 보장하기 위해 Adaptive RIO-DC 버퍼 관리 방식과 함께 사용된다. 제안하는 Aggregate Three Color Marker는 Assured Service에 대한 접속제어가 수행된 상황에서 입구라우터를 경유하는 개별 플로들이 전송하는 In-profile 트래픽 전송률들의 총합 만큼의 Token rate로서 입구 라우터로 유입되는 전체 In-profile 트래픽의 양을 측정하고, 허용된 In-profile 트래픽의 Aggregate Trafile profile 범위에 속하는 손실된 Token 양만큼 경유하는 Out-of-profile 패킷들을 Yellow 패킷들로 표기한다. 그리고 DiffServ 내부라우터에서는 In-profile 패킷과 Yellow 패킷을 동일하게 처리하며, 플로간의 공평성을 유지하기 위해 이전 도메인에서 입구라우터로 유입되는 Yellow 패킷은 Out-of-profile 패킷으로 환원된다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안하는 Aggregate Three Color Maker를 Adaptive RIO-DC와 함께 적용하여 다중 DiffServ 도메인 환경에서 플로별 관리없이 Assured Service에 대한 End-to-End QoS를 보장할 수 있음을 보인다.

A Cross-cultural Study on the Affection of Color with Variation of Tone and Chroma for Automotive Visual Display

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate affection on how users perceive colors viewed from an automotive visual display according to cultural and radical differences including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. This study especially aims to identify effects of the variation of tone and chroma of representative color groups by analyzing affection differences depending on cultural and racial differences targeting the colors constituted through variation of tone and chroma, centered on representative colors. Background: The colors of the menu, information display or background viewed through an automotive visual display are an important factor stimulating consumer's affection, and therefore an effort to express the vehicle's brand and product image through colors is made. The studies on colors focus only on the research on unique characteristics of colors, but an affective approach lacks according to cultural and racial differences on colors considering tone and chroma variation within a color from the currently used automotive visual displays. Method: To grasp the visual affection felt by users, this study extracted affective adjectives related with colors through existing literature and a dictionary for adjectives, and presented human affection dimensions on colors through evaluation of various colors. Prior to carrying out affection evaluation, the basic light sources, red (R), green (G), and blue (B) constituting the colors used for automotive visual displays were defined as a representative color group, respectively. When colors in a color group are constituted, the evaluation target of each color group consisted of the colors considering the variation of tone and chroma by changing color sense through RGB values of the remaining two light sources. And then, this study carried out affection evaluation on the constituted colors targeting the subjects with cultural and racial differences. Results: As a result of evaluating the constituted colors with representative affections, there were statistically significant differences between the groups having cultural and racial differences. As a result of S-N-K post-hoc analysis on the colors showing significant differences, North America and Europe were classified as heterogeneous groups. In some cases, Korea was classified as the homogeneous group with North America, but Korea was mainly classified as the homogenous group with Europe. Conclusion: The representative affections on colors from an automotive visual display was drawn as three affective dimensions: passionate, neat, and masculine. Based on these, the affection of Korea and Europe on the constituted colors showed significant differences from that of North America, as a result of affection evaluation on the constituted colors viewed through the visual display by reflecting cultural and racial factors. Regarding representative color groups, bigger cultural and racial differences were revealed in terms of affection on red and green colors than on blue color, and variation of affection was the biggest in the red color. Application: This study analyzed correlations of affection considering the colors constituted through variation of tone and chroma, and the culture and race in the representative color groups constituting a visual display. The results of this study are predicted to be utilized in coordination and selection of colors viewed from an automotive visual display taking into account culture and race.

  • One of the major factors determining the printing quality of a color printer is the color matching that is performed inside the printer driver In this paper, the mini driver for the color printer is built using the Microsoft 98DDK. Also, the ICC profile proposed as the standard for the color management system is generated. The color matching capability of the mini driver with the ICC profile is examined and compared with that of the commercial printer driver.

Relationship between Image-processed Color Content and Human Color Visibility Estimation of Natural Forest Scenes

  • The current study investigated the relationship between image processed data and human visibility data for natural forest scenes from the perspective of color. In particular, the results indicated relatively low Pearson product-moment correlations between the color ratings obtained from the two methods used in the study. The first method measured the color content of slides using a image processing program, while the second used a panel of human judges to rate the color content of each slide.

  • 수가 중소 영섬유제품에 대한 품질관리 대상은 소재에 대한 물리적 성능 특성 이외에도 색상, 착용감 등의 주관적 판단 인자들이 있다. 색상은 소비자들이 별도의 측정 장비 없이도 주관에 따라 판단 할 수 있는 대표적인 품질인자이다. 따라서 산업 현장에서는 색상에 대한 통계적 품질관리를 위하여 색차계를 이용한 정량화를 통해 품질관리에 적용하고 있다. 하지만, 국내 섬유관련 업체는 대다수가 중소 영세업체기 때문에 육안검사에 의존한 색차관리를 수행하고 있으며, 그로 인해 검사자 개인성향 및 작업 수행방식에 따라 많은 차이를 보이게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 산업현장의 실정에 부합하는 품질관리 기법 개발을 목표로, 사무기기 중의 하나인 디지털 화상 장치를 이용한 간이 색차판별 가능성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 일반 평판 스캐너를 활용한 이미징 분석 기반의 색차판별법은 기존의 측색계를 이용한 판별법과 비교하여 높은 상관관계($R^2=0.969$)를 보여주고 있었으며, 이를 통해 공정 간 및 로트별 색차관리에 대한 현장 간이판별이 가능함을 확인하였다. 또한 색차를 구성하고 있는 각 요소(${\Delta}L$, ${\Delta}a$, ${\Delta}b$)에 대한 분석을 통해서 공정관리 요소식별이 가능함을 확인 할 수 있었다. 향후, 본 연구의 결과를 기반으로 하여 판정기법을 좀 더 정교화/최적화하게 된다면, 산업현장에서 충분히 색차계를 대체 할 수 있는 방법으로까지 발전 할 수 있으리라 판단된다.

한국인의 고정관념에 부합하는 공정제어용 색상코드의 도출 (A Study on Color Associations of the Korean for Color Coding of Process Control Information)

  • To suggest a more efficient way of delivering information for process control under computerized environment, population stereotypes of colors were tested with 57 Korean subjects. The subjects were asked to associate 11 colors salient at electronic video displays with 55 pairs of adjectives that might be used when they explain the current state of process. The levels of association were evaluated with semantic differential methods by 7 point scales. Based on the multivariate analyses, the 55 pairs of adjectives were grouped into three distinct dimensions. The emotional maps of the 11 colors with respect to each dimension were presented. The Quantitative relationships between the colors and subjective impressions were also calculated by quantification theory I. On the basis of these color associations, it was suggested a general guideline for color coding when delivering process information

확률적 방법을 통한 컬러 영상 분할 (Color Image Segmentation by statistical approach)

  • Color image segmentation is useful for fast retrieval in large image database. For that purpose, new image segmentation technique based on the probability of pixel distribution in the image is proposed. Color image is first divided into R, G, and B channel images. Then, pixel distribution from each of channel image is extracted to select to which it is similar among the well known probabilistic distribution function-Weibull, Exponential, Beta, Gamma, Normal, and Uniform. We use sum of least square error to measure of the quality how well an image is fitted to distribution. That P.d.f has minimum score in relation to sum of square error is chosen. Next, each image is quantized into 4 gray levels by applying thresholds to the c.d.f of the selected distribution of each channel. Finally, three quantized images are combined into one color image to obtain final segmentation result. To show the validity of the proposed method, experiments on some images are performed.

OLED device is self-emitting operating device, that means it becomes different color between pixels under using environment. That's reason of the different luminance drop ratio & chromaticity coordinates shift ratio with time. The problem is there is not recovered after luminance drop and color shift. We can recognize the difference of color as image sticking. First we studied when human recognize the difference of color and second we apply the method of OLED device's lifetime test that's able to check different color between pixels.

  • The solution way of color difference in display device is using a device profile recorded with color dimension, color properties of each device and is using sRGB color space. The color matching is better sRGB than RGB color space. The sRGB is independent device color space and based on the monitor characteristice. An accurate characterization of the display device is essential for color matching. The calibration and characterization process in display device is needed to transform the device dependent color to the device independent color. The process of characterization performs a linerizaiton and transforms the linearized values into the CIE XYZ tristimulus values. The purposes of this paper is to estimate color reproduction using device profile and to explain the propriety of transformation method using variable.
