태권도 수련복의 역사적 고찰을 통한 디자인 개발 (Design Development of the Taekwondo Uniform ; Historical Research)

  • This study is considered about the Taekwondo(跆拳道) uniform classified by period and analyzed the current Taekwondo uniform. And founded on this contents, new designs of uniform, that a functional side are considered and can symb이ize the identity of Taekwondo, are presented through this study. Ancient times to the present time, the Taekwondo uniform classified into three types according to 'Period of putting on our nation's costume'(three kingdoms${\sim}$Joseon(朝鮮) times), 'Period of confusion on uniform'(Japan's colonial rule of Korea${\sim}$-the early 1970s), 'Period of the settlement on official uniform'(the late 1970s-the present time). And besides, the shape of our nation's costume in ancient times is succeeded until Joseon times and this basic style becomes the outset on the current Taekwondo uniform. The designed uniforms are connoted the notion of the aesthetic appreciation in Korean traditional costume, that is, a symbolic, dignified, moderate appreciation with the consideration of a functional side for Taekwondo. And the contents on the presented designs are classified into 'shape, pattern, color'. First, these designs that are adapted the shape of Baji(바지) Jeogori(저고리)-belt, which have symbolized our nation's costume, and the shape of Bacja(배자) had used in Joseon times, are connoted a 'traditional appreciation with functional side'. Second, these designs, which are adapted the patterns of the active image(a bugbear, flying horse, tiger for embroidered patches, Taegeuk(太極)) in a modern style, express a 'symbolic, dignified appreciation'. Third, these designs are well-matched a black and white color with multicolored stripes(saekddong, 색동), and its ones are connoted a 'moderate and symbolic appreciation'.

Dress and Ideology during the late $19^{th}$ and early $20^{th}$ centuries Korea, 1876~1945

  • The late $19^{th}$ and early $20^{th}$ centuries of Korea were the times when the Confucianism (牲理學) ideology was shaken heavily under the influences of modernism and capitalism by Western and Japanese military and political-economic forces. Under such circumstances, alteration of clothing was much influenced by ideologies than changes in social structure or technological advance. In this study, an ideology was defined as "the force which drives people into a particular social order". Ideologies were postulated as an ongoing process of socialization with dialectic features rather than being a static state. Comparative analyses on conflict structures and different clothing patterns symbolizing the ideologies of the Ruling (支配) and the Opposition (對抗) were conducted. Investigating dresses as representations of ideologies is to reconsider the notion of dichotomous confrontation between the conservatives (守舊派) and the progressives (開化派) and a recognition of Koreans' passively accepting modernity during the Japanese occupation. This may also have contributed to enlightening Koreans about modernization. Here are the results. First, the theoretical review found that ideologies were represented by not only symbols of discourse, but also dresses, and that dresses embodied both physical and conceptual systems presenting differences between ideologies and their natures, Second, during the late 19th century Korea, conflict between conservatives' Hanbok (韓服) and progressives' Western suits (洋服) was found. Moderate progressives showed their identity by "Colored Clothing" (深色衣), and radical progressives by black suits with short hair (黑衣斷髮) or by western suits (洋服). The ultimate goal of both parties was a "Modern Nation". With these efforts, pale jade green coats and traditional hats symbolizing the nobleman class was eliminated within 30 years from 1880 to 1910, and then simple robes and short hair emerged. However, the powerful Japanese army had taken over the hegemony of East Asia, and Korea was sharply divided into modernization and pro-Japanese camps. Third, during the time of Japanese colonial rule, the dress codes having set by the modernization policies during the time of enlightenment were abandoned and colonial uniforms for the colonial system was meticulously introduced. During this period, Western or Japanese-style uniforms were the symbol of the ruling ideology. In the mean time, Hanbok, particularly "White Clothing (白衣)", emerged as a representation of the opposition ideology. However, due to Japan's coercive power and strong zeal for "Great orient (大東亞)", white clothing remained as a mere symbol. Meanwhile, Reformists (實力養成論者) movement toward improving quality of life followed a similar path of the Japanese policies and was eventually incorporated into the ruling ideology. Fourth, dresses as representations of ruling ideologies were enforced by organizational powers, such as organizations and laws, and binding policies, and changes in such dresses were more significant when the ruling ideologies were stronger. Clothing of the opposition ideology was expressed as an aggregation of public consciousness. During the period, the subjects of ruling ideology and the objects who were granted modernization benefits were different although their drives for colored clothing with short hair (色衣斷髮) for modernization were similar.

미얀마의 분쟁해결제도와 비즈니스협상 (Dispute Resolution Institution and Business Negotiation of Myanmar)

  • Myanmar has witnessed rapid economic growth in the 21st century. The cultural heritage of Myanmar (Burma) inherited from ancestors is law literature such as Dhammathat and Rajathat. Burma is a unique country in Southeast Asia in a sense that it already had a modern law system. For example, there has been a legal profession even in 12th century AD. According to Rajathat, lawyers were required to wear a uniform in court. Furthermore, lawyers and Judges participated in legal proceedings from the 15th century. As to the role of Dhammathat, there are conflicting views in the academic community. According to Professor Andrew Huxley, the profound literatures of Dhammathat had played an important role as a source of law in Burmese court in ancient times. Dhammathats have flourished in the struggle among the King, lawyers, and monks in old Burmese society. This customary law combined with Rajathat provided a guidance of legal proceedings in Burmese court, as well as village settlement. This traditional dispute resolution system reaches modern times in the form of Buddhist family law in Myanmar. Nowadays, the law system of Myanmar looks like a legal pluralism since the customary laws of Burma, as well as Shan and Arakan, are effective and co-exist with common law adopted at the colonial period. In recent times, Myanmar has enacted new arbitration laws (2016) in order to attract foreign direct investment.

조선총독부 시가지계획 관련 공문서의 분류와 평가 (Archival Appraisal and Classification of the Official Documents of the Government-General of Choson Related to Urban District Planning)

  • 현존 총독부 공문서는 이미 '역사적' 가치를 인정받아 영구보존문서로 보존되고 있다. 그러나 현존 문서의 실태는 부분적이고 불균등하여 기록(archives)으로서의 가치평가와 활용에 어려운 점이 많다. 본고에서 살펴본 시가지계획 관련 공문서 역시 이를 통해 일제 시기 진행된 시가지계획의 모든 상을 도큐멘테이션하는 데는 상당한 한계를 갖는다. 이에 이러한 불균형 잔존 행정기록에 대해서는 당대의 정책 제도 변화에 대한 컨텍스트를 파악하고, 이를 수행한 조직의 핵심기능을 종합하여 거시 평가의 틀을 만들어, 여기에 현존 문서를 배치하는 도큐멘테이션 과정, 이 과정에서 가치가 높은 기능과 관련된 기록이 소수라는 점, 즉 기록의 재현성이 불완전한 것을 보충하기 위한 다른 역사적 자료의 적극적 이용과 적극적인 기록수집 방안을 함께 강구할 필요가 있다. 본고는 일제시기 도시계획 관련 공문서 중에서도 시가지계획관련 문서라는 하나의 문서군(series)에 대한 기록 평가를 시도했다. 따라서 이를 통해 총독부 공문서 전반에 대한 평가 방법을 도출하기는 한계가 있으나, 시가지계획이라는 총독부 식민정책의 집행과정에서 생산된 문서의 맥락을 이해하여 기록의 가치를 평가함으로써 문서 활용에 중요한 지표가 될 수 있는 사례를 제시했다고 할 수 있다. 한편 총독부 공문서와 같이 이미 영구보존기록으로 결정되어 보존되고 있는 역사기록에 대한 평가는 처분을 위한 평가로서의 기능은 갖지 못한다. 이에 역사기록에 대한 평가는 향후 기록의 접근과 활용도를 높이기 위한 DB화나 정보콘텐츠화와 연계하는 방안 역시 고려할 필요가 있다.

영미 수출팩토링 제도에 관한 연구 - 한국에의 시사점을 중심으로- (A Study on the Development of the Export Factoring in UK and US)

  • 팩토링(factoring)의 역사는 중세시대까지 거슬러 올라갈 수 있지만 현대적 팩토링은 식민지시절 미국에서 시작되어 1960년대 영국으로 전파되면서 오늘날 유럽에서 가장 발전된 모습을 보이고 있다. 영국의 팩토링은 격지거래의 불확실성과 불편함을 해소하고자 판매지에서 상업대리인(mercantile agent)의 역할을 수행하기 위해 시작되어 점차 금융기능에 초점을 맞춘 오늘날의 팩토링 구조로 발전하였다. 미국에서의 팩토링 또한 상업대리인 형태로 출발하였으며 이후 팩터들의 활동이 수탁판매와 지급보증 뿐 아니라 선급금융 서비스로 확대되는 과정을 거쳐 왔다. 영미의 팩토링산업은 오늘날 전문팩터와 은행팩터, 두 유형의 기관들에 의해 운영되고 있고 특히 중소기업금융에 특화되어 있다. 이는 상대적으로 열악한 재무구조와 채무관리능력을 지닌 중소기업들에 대해 민간 최종대부자의 역할을 팩터가 수행함을 의미하는 한편 팩터에게는 충분한 신용조사능력이 요구됨을 의미한다. 우리나라 수출자의 수출 결제조건이 지속적으로 불리해져 결제리스크 관리와 무역금융의 보완 수단이 필요한 상황에서 팩토링의 활성화는 시급하며 중요하다. 우리나라 중소 수출기업들이 수출팩토링을 적극 활용할 수 있도록 시중은행은 신용조사역량을 확보해야 하는 한편 정부는 팩토링이 활성화될 수 있도록 정책적 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.
