동아리 활동이 학습동기 및 대학생활 만족도에 미치는 영향 (치위생과 학생을 중심으로) (Influence on Academic Motivation and Satisfaction of College Life by Dong-A-Ry Activity (in students on department of dental hygiene))

  • 본 연구의 목적은 서울경기지역의 치위생과 학생들을 대상으로 동아리 활동이 학습효과와 학교생활에 대해서 유의한 차이가 있는지를 규명하려는 것이다. 이를 위해 약 3개 대학의 학생들을 대상으로 일대일 면접방식에 의해 설문지을 통하여 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 삶의 만족도에 미치는 동아리 활동을 살펴보면 유형에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 통학시간 및 성적 등이 만족도에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 동아리 활동이 미치는 학교생활에 대한 만족도는 동아리 활동을 하는 대학생일수록 학교에 대한 만족도 또한 높은 것으로 나타났다. 기타 경제형편, 통학시간, 성적 및 전공 선택의 유형에 따라 학교생활 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 동아리 활동은 학습동기 구성요인 중 수업동기 요인, 계속동기 요인, 비본질동기 요인, 본질동기 요인에 유의한 차이를 보였으나, 본질동기 요인은 유형에 따라 유의한 차이를 보인다고 할 수 없다. 4. 동아리 활동을 통해 얻고자 하는 것이 단순한 정신적물질적 보상의 개념이 아니라 자기가 배운 분야를 실제적인 적용의 한 부분으로서 활용하고자 하였다.

운동프로그램이 성인여성의 체력, 심폐기능 및 생활만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of an Exercise Program on Physical Fitness, Cardiopulmonary Function and Life Satisfaction for Adult Women)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the effects of an exercise program on physical fitness, cardiopulmonary function and life satisfaction for adult women. Method: The exercise program combined dance and resistance training. The subject group consisted of 114 women aged between 33 and 60. Three 8-week sessions consisted of 55-80% HR max for 60-90 minutes a day and 3 times a week from March to November, 2004. Data were collected through pre- and post-exercise tests before and after each session. Data were collected with dynamometer, sphygmomamometer, spirometer and structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed employing descriptive statistics and paired t-test with SPSS/PC(10.0version) program. Results: There were significantly positive changes in muscle strength, flexibility, balance quality, forced vital capacity and life satisfaction, but no significantly positive changes in agility and blood pressure. Conclusion: This study showed that an exercise program has partially positive effects for adult women. The results of this study suggest that there should be programs of continuous exercise at community health centers for adult women's health.

의과대학 임상교수 직급에 따른 일과 삶의 균형 차이 (Differences in Clinical Professors' Work-Life Balance by Position in Medical Schools )

  • We investigated the work-life balance of clinical professors in charge of patient care, research, and education at medical schools and the demand for work-life balance support according to position (professor, associate professor, or assistant professor). In total, 163 clinical professors completed the consent form and participated in the study. They filled out an online survey consisting of questions about essential characteristics, a work-life balance test, stress, burnout, work-life satisfaction, and work-life balance support needs. We analyzed the results by analysis of variance and cross-tabulation using IBM SPSS ver. 23.0. Differences were found in work-life balance, stress, burnout, and satisfaction with life and work by position. The requirements for support for work-life balance also varied by professional status. Professors had a higher balance between life and work than associate professors or assistant professors. The specific requirements for work-life balance support were also slightly different for each position. Overall, there was a high demand for work process simplification and efficiency for work support, flexible working hours and sabbatical years for family and leisure, and career management consulting and training support for growth. Assistant professors and associate professors had a lower level of work-life balance than professors, as well as higher levels of stress and burnout. Professors' job satisfaction was also higher than that of the other groups. Based on the results of this study, we hope that a healthy work environment can be established through work-life balance support suitable for clinical professors' positions.

손자녀 양육 여부에 따른 조모의 생활만족도 및 영향요인 (Grandmother's Life Satisfaction and Influencing Factors by Grandparenting)

  • Purpose: The study was to compare the factors of life satisfaction between grandmothers parenting and not parenting their grandchildren. Methods: A descriptive design with a convenience sampling was used for this study. From communities in S and U city, 85 parenting grandmothers (PG) and 103 non-parenting grandmothers (NPG) were recruited. The PG were those grandmothers who cared for preschooler grandchildren for their daughter or daughter-in-law who was employed. Results: The demographics of the two groups were similar, however the value of grandparenting was significantly higher in the PG than the NPG (t=4.56, p<.001). In the PG, strong and significant correlations were found among the value of grandparenting, health status, quality of relations with adult children, and life satisfaction. However, demographics were more related to health status and life satisfaction in the NPG. The value of grandparenting, health status, and quality of grandmother-adult children relations were found to be significant factors of life satisfaction (F=20.75, p <.001) explaining 42% of the variances. In the NPG, only health status was a significant factor (F=50.66, p <.001) explaining 33% of the variances. Conclusion: This study shows that grandmothers' perceptions of grandparenting and family relationships need to be incorporated into the lifestyle in order to support parenting grandmothers' life satisfaction while grandmothers' health is the common concern of elderly women's life satisfaction.

The Structural Relationship between the Possibility of Socioeconomic Class Elevation of Workers and Related Variables

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship between the possibility of socioeconomic class elevation of wage earners, happiness and organizational commitment, and life satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: Data from the 24th fiscal year (2021) of the Korea Labor Panel data were used for analysis. Only wage earners who measured job satisfaction and organizational engagement were analyzed, and a sample of 9,138 respondents was finally used, excluding missing values. Structural Equation Modeling was performed using AMOS 23.0, and Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) was used as a model estimation method. Results: First, the hypothetical structural model set up for the study was found to be suitable. Second, the Possibility of Socioeconomic Class Elevation of wage earners, happiness, and organizational commitment were found to have a direct impact on life satisfaction. Third, the possibility of improving the socio-economic status of wage earners affects life satisfaction, and happiness and organizational commitment appear to have a partially mediating effect. Conclusions: This study is significant in that it has increased interest in organizational participation and life satisfaction, which were not covered in previous studies on the possibility of wage workers moving up the socioeconomic class.

간호대학생의 자존감 및 우울과 학업성취도와의 관계 (Correlations among Self-Esteem, Depression and Academic Achievement in Nursing College Students)

  • Purpose: To investigate the relationships among self-esteem, depression and academic achievement in nursing college students. Method: The study subjects consisted of 350 nursing college students. The data were collected by self-administered questionnaire from September 3rd to 28th 2007. Results: 1) The mean scores self-esteem, depression, and academic achievement were 3.03 (on a 4-point scale), 4.00 (on a 7-point scale), and 87.33 (on a 100-point scores), respectively. 2) There were significant differences and impacts on self-esteem according to the economic state, character, attitude to parents, consideration of aptitude, satisfaction of school life and satisfaction of nursing. Depression differed significantly according to the economic state, residence type and satisfaction of school life. Academic achievement differed depending on the attitude to parents, consideration of aptitude and satisfaction of nursing. There was a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and academic achievement, but a negative correlation between self-esteem and depression in nursing college students. Conclusion: There was a positive correlation between self-esteem and academic achievement. Moreover, self-esteem can provide a basis for constructing further studies in intervention programs relating to the curriculum for nursing college students. Based on the above findings, programs are needed for the improvement of self-esteem and the reduction of depression, and further research is suggested on the development of such programs.

고등학생의 구강건강 관련 삶의 질이 학교생활 만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Oral Health-Related Quality of Life on School Life Satisfaction in High School Students)

  • 이번 연구는 고등학생의 구강건강 관련 삶의 질을 측정하여 학교생활 만족도와 상관관계를 알아보고, 청소년의 구강건강 관련 삶의 질이 학교생활 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 실시하였다. 2015년 11월 30일부터 12월 7일까지 대구에 위치한 1개 고등학교 학생을 대상으로 편의표본추출법에 의한 자기기입 방식으로 설문조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 고등학생의 구강건강 관련 삶의 질 중 기능적 삶이 3.51로 가장 높았으며, 학교생활 만족도 중에서는 대인관계 만족도가 3.75로 가장 높았다. 그리고 구강건강 관련 삶의 질에 유의한 영향을 주는 일반적 특성은 학업성적, 학업 스트레스(p<0.05)였으며, 학교생활 만족도에 유의한 영향을 주는 일반적 특성은 학업성적(p<0.001)이었다. 구강건강 관련 삶의 질은 학교생활 만족도의 하위요인 중 대인관계, 교육환경, 사회적 지지와 정(+)의 상관관계를 보였으며, 학교생활 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 학업성적과 구강건강 안녕 삶의 질이 유의한 영향을 나타내었다. 이상의 연구결과를 종합해보면, 고등학생의 구강건강 관련 삶의 질은 청소년의 학교생활 만족도와 관련되는 다양한 요인에 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 청소년들이 올바른 구강건강 관리습관을 형성할 수 있도록 정기적인 구강보건교육 프로그램을 개발하여 효과적으로 실행할 수 있는 제도를 마련해야 하며, 학생 및 학교, 그리고 관련 부서에서 구강건강의 중요성을 인식하고 예방 및 조기치료, 구강건강 증진을 위해 노력해야 한다.

폐경전후 여성의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향요인 (Influencing Factors on Quality of Life in Pre- and Postmenopausal Women)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the factors influencing quality of life and difference of quality of life in a postmenopausal group compared to premenopausal women. Method: The subjects consisted of 213 women from 40 to 64 years old. The data were collected from June 1, 2003 to June 31, 2004 using structured questionnaires which included questions relating to demographic and obstetric background and 4 scales(climacteric symptoms scale, marital satisfaction scale, sex-role attitude scale, quality of life scale). Result: Comparing pre- and postmenopausal women, significant statistical differences were demonstrated in climacteric symptoms and sex-role attitude. However, quality of life was not different between pre- and postmenopausal women. In premenopausal women, marital satisfaction($32.7\%$) and educational level($8.0\%$) were significant predictors to explain quality of life. Marital satisfaction($12.9\%$) was significant predictor to explain quality of life in postmenopausal women. Conclusion: No difference of quality in life between pre- and postmenopausal women provides information for changing traditional approaches of menopause according to physiological changes as illness. In addition the study showed that it is necessary to use marital satisfaction information when developing nursing interventions to promote the quality of life.

죽음인식, 임종간호 스트레스, 삶의 만족도가 상급종합병원 간호사의 임종간호태도에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of death perceptions, terminal care stress, and life satisfaction on attitudes toward end-of-life care among nurses at a tertiary hospital)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the factors influencing attitudes toward end-of-life care among nurses at a tertiary hospital in Korea. Specifically, it examined the roles of nurses' characteristics, death perceptions, terminal care stress, and life satisfaction. Methods: The participants included 150 nurses working at a tertiary hospital, who were recruited between August 15 and September 19, 2023. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 28.0. Results: Nurses' attitudes toward end-of-life care were positively correlated with death perceptions (β = .28, p < .001), 3 years or more of clinical experience (β = .25, p = .001), the experience of an acquaintance death (β = .22, p = .002) and life satisfaction (β = .20, p = .004). These variables explained 34.0% of the total variance in attitudes toward end-of-life care. Conclusion: It is essential to develop and implement individualized end-of-life nursing education programs, particularly utilizing simulations, for nurses with limited clinical experience and low levels of death perceptions. Further research should explore attitudes toward end-of-life care among various healthcare providers with a broader regional scope to improve the overall quality of end-of-life care.

임상간호사의 억압된 분노, 용서 및 삶의 질 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Anger-in, Forgiveness, and Quality of Life in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The study was to identify relationships among the Anger-in, Forgiveness, and Quality of Life in Clinical Nurses. Methods: Data were collected by questionnaires from 205 clinical nurses who worked at the 4 hospitals located in Busan. Data were collected from September 26 to October 10, 2013. Anger-in, Forgiveness, and Quality of Life were measured using a structured questionnaire. The instruments included Anger-in Scale, Forgiveness Scale, Quality of Life Scale. The collected data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test and Pearson's correlation coefficients by SPSS/WIN 18.0 for windows. Results: There were significant correlations among anger-in and forgiveness(r=-.34, p<.001), anger-in and quality of life(r=-.33, p<.001), forgiveness and quality of life(r=.27, p<.001). There was a statistically significant difference in Anger-in of participants according to nurse's satisfaction of job. Forgiveness showed significant different according to nurse's perceived health status, belief of religion, turnover intension, and job satisfaction. Quality of life was significantly different according to nurse's age, perceived health status, work period, work pattern, night duty, turnover intention, motivation of choice in nursing and job satisfaction. Conclusion: These results suggested that reducing anger-in level and enhancing forgiveness level would increase quality of life among clinical nurses.
