This paper presents development of a management system for the health and diseases of the elderly. This study aimed to the promotion of the u-healthcare industry and to the increase in its competitive power by developing and expanding a system for managing the health and diseases of the elderly, in cooperation with u-healthcare companies. The study is underway through the following four substudies. In the first substudy titled development of the bio-signal collection and analysis technology using smart media, a technology that supports the collection of bio-signals in the elderly using portable terminals. In the second substudy titled development of the patient-specific healthcare platform expansion and enhancement technology, a technology is being developed for making medical decisions and taking measures based on the results of the processing of the collected bio-signals. In the third substudy titled development of the N-screen based healthcare contents open service technology, a technology is being developed to provide information on health, diseases, and medicine to platforms. In the fourth substudy titled development of the oriental medicine diagnosis and analysis technology for senile diseases. This study is expected to help ensure an excellent workforce and new technologies in the healthcare sector using smart phones, and to help reduce medical expenses by improving the health of citizens.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to document the experiences of elderly persons with chronic diseases who are under hospital-based home care services and to find out how they describe the experiences using a narrative inquiry method. Methods: The participants are 7 elderly patients over the age of 70. Data collection and analysis were conducted through Jeong Gwang Soon's six-stages: observing phenomena, selecting participants, talking, talking again, writing, and confirming. Results: The results of data analysis were classified into 4 themes of overall experience related to chronic diseases: response to home health care, overcoming chronic disease, life reconstruction, and 22 categories as common denominators extracted from the elderly persons' lives. Conclusion: This research makes the experiences of the elderly living with chronic diseases more understandable, and it can be utilized as a effective nursing praxis to improve the quality of elderly persons with chronic diseases in hospital-based home care services.

This study attempted to identify the service satisfaction with the 119 emergency service and the factors that affect it based on the responses of subjects who used the service. Data collection was conducted from February 11 to March 11, 2021, using convenience sampling. A total of 1842 subjects who used emergency medical services using 119 ambulance in 2020 participated. For the collected data, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were calculated, and t-test, analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0. Based on these results, to further enhance the satisfaction of users of the 119 emergency service and the quality of emergency medical services, it is important to improve the quality of paramedics through education and systems. In addition, to increase user satisfaction, efficient and systematic communication education is required. The quality of emergency medical services will increase only when communication skills required for explanations and promoting understanding are improved.

Recently, there have been several researches on automatic object identification and distributed computing technology to realize a ubiquitous computing environment. Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology has been applied to many business areas to simplify complex processes and gain important benefits. To derive real benefits from RFID, the system must rapidly implement functions to process a large quantity of event data generated by the RFID operations and should be configured dynamically for changing businesses. Consequently, developers are forced to implement systems to derive meaningful high-level events from simple RFID events and bind them to various business processes. Although applications could directly consume and act on RFID events, extracting the business rules from the business logic leads to better decoupling of the system, which consequentially increases maintainability. In this paper, we describe an RFID business aware framework for business processes in the Electronic Product Code (EPC) Network. This framework is proposed for developing business applications using business services. The term "business services" refers to generated events that can be used in business applications without additional data collection and processing. The framework provides business rules related to data collection, processing, and management, and supports the rapid development and easy maintenance of business applications based on business services.

The interest in the access and integration of distributed massive data resources has increased recently. This paper presents the Advanced Collection Manager(CM) service with OGSA-DAI component which can access and integrate the distributed data resources. The Advanced CM service supports the data resource of various types. And it can provide the query, updating, transforming and delivering data via cooperating with other services in Grid Information Retrieval(Grid-IR or GIR) System. As a result, it can access and manage the data resource more flexible and efficient.

This study was carried to analyze the current status of oral history collections of national libraries in foreign countries and to derive key factors to consider when building oral collections in National Library of Korea(NLK). The Library of Congress, the British Library, and the National Library of Australia regard oral records as a national heritage that should be passed down nationally and those have been utilized and preserved successfully. Based upon the analysis of the oral collections of these national libraries, several key elements - legislation, organization, collection policy, services, collection, education and collaboration, funding and sponsorship-to consider when building an oral history collection for the first time in the NLK were suggested.

Purpose: The restrictions posed by the COVID-19 pandemic have affected the normal functioning of the economy. A country like India is facing a lot of concerns in all its sectors especially, in its fiscal system. This paper makes an attempt to examine the impact of COVID-19 first wave on Goods and Service Tax revenue collection and distribution in India and also studies the impact of COVID-19 first wave on the state wise GST revenue of the country. Research Design, Data and Methodology: Our study is based on published GST revenue data. Tools such as Paired Sample t-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test are employed to analyze the data. Results: Our results provide evidence that there is a sharp decline in the GST revenue in the months after the lockdown announcement. The large states show no significance impact of COVID-19 pandemic on GST collection. Whereas, small states like Manipur and Goa show significant difference in GST revenue collection & distribution between the pre and post lockdown period. Conclusion: The outcome of this study will help the policymakers to analyze the extent of the GST revenue loss to the government treasury and will allow them to take appropriate measures in the future.

Public services need to be evaluated regularly to identify areas that need further improvement. Data collection via Twitter is affordable and timely, so it has the potential to be utilized to evaluate the quality of public service. This study utilizes tweets mentioning three service units of the provincial government of Jakarta and applies both sentiment analysis and topic classification to predict a rating/score of public service quality. The research goal is to examine if the evaluation of public services based on social media data is possible. The findings indicate that the use of Twitter has an advantage in terms of sample size and variety of opinions. Tweets can be translated into scores as well. Nonetheless, the representativeness issue and the predominance of complaint tweets can affect the reliability of the results.

A collection policy (or a collection development policy) is a document that archival institutions must have to allow them to build their collections legitimately and consistently. Digital archives often lack sustainable financial and systematic supports. Thus, it is especially important for digital archives to have a policy for consistent collection activities. Digital archives have a different set of characteristics from physical records, and these characteristics should be considered in a collection policy. This study was initiated to create such a policy for the No Gun Ri Digital Archive. It reviewed existing literature for collection policies in archives and digital archives. Moreover, it examined several cases of digital archives and their policies to identify the necessary elements as well as the legal and procedural coverages for digital content and services. Furthermore, it studied the unique characteristics of the No Gun Ri incident and the No Gun Ri Digital Archive. Based on such investigation, a collection policy for the No Gun Ri Digital Archive was suggested. It is believed that suggesting a practical collection policy will provide a useful precedent for future digital archive projects.

This paper conducted a feasibility study by applying an Internet of Things and Artificial intelligence-based management system for the elderly living alone in an aging society. The number of single-person families over the age of 50 is expected to increase, and problems such as health, safety, and loneliness may occur due to aging. Therefore, by establishing an IoT-based care system for the elderly living alone, a stable service was developed through securing a rapid response system for the elderly living alone and automatically reporting 119. The participants of the demonstration test were subjects under the jurisdiction of the "Seongnam Senior Complex," and the data collection rate between the IoT sensor and the emergency safety gateway was high. During the demonstration period, as a result of evaluating the satisfaction of the IoT-based care system for the elderly living alone, 90 points were achieved. We are currently in the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, the number of elderly living alone is continuously increasing, and the number of people who cannot benefit from care services will continue to occur. Also, even if the COVID-19 situation is over, the epidemic will happen again. So the care system is essential. The elderly care system developed in this way will provide safety management services based on artificial intelligence-based activity pattern analysis, improving the quality of in-house safety services.
