The purpose of this study is to investigate the development direction of future scholarship by analyzing recent research trends in collection development and management field using keyword network analysis. Data was collected from four journals in library and information science field during period of 2003 to 2017. Related articles of Collection Development and Management field were retrieved, and author keywords were extracted from selected papers. Keyword network analysis using NetMiner4 program was performed based on frequency analysis, connection-centered analysis, and parametric analysis. The analysis covers all sections from 2003 to 2017 to look at the changes in research over time, and three sections on five-year basis. As a result, main keywords such as 'open access', 'institutional repository' and 'academic journals' were identified, and topics to be continuously researched were identified.

Current collection performance on-line tests for a Korean High Speed Train being developed in G7 project is scheduled to start in June, 2002. In this paper, preparatory efforts for measuring contact forces which is regarded as one of major measuring items in the test are introduced. Specifically speaking, review of frequencies related with contact force fluctuations, brief of contact force measuring algorithm, review of measuring instrument specifications and development of a data acquisition program are presented.

Pressure drop and fractional collection efficiency of automotive cabin air filters were examined to obtain the basic data for the development of high performance domestic cabin air filters. Pressure drop of MA-V100 was higher than that of VF-V100, and it increased with the air flow rate. VF-V100 had longer time to rise the critical pressure drop than that MA-V100 had. Total collection efficiency of MA-V100 for initial and dust loaded conditions was higher than that of VF-V100. Also, fractional collection efficiency of MA-V100 for the fine particles was higher than that of VF-V100. Particla size distribution for the minimum collection efficiency ranged from 0.02 $\mu$m to 0.04 $\mu$m for MA-V100 and it ranged from 0.02 $\mu$m to 0.15 $\mu$m for VF-V100.

This is a preliminary study on establishing the optimized strategic plan for KISTI's collection. In this paper, major foreign and domestic information centers and the current status and usage of KISTI's collection are analyzed. Also included are the suggestion of a strategic solution for optimizing KISTI's collection and the discussion regarding KISTI's roles and strategies.

This paper tried to analyze the collection and management method of shop-floor information for development of digital framework in u-manufacturing. In detail, the shop-floor information collection method through the direct communication with manufacturing devices using network Including RS-232C/422, field bus and ethernet is analyzed and proposed. In case the direct communication is impossible, the information collection method through additional sensors or data acquisition units is analyzed and proposed. Moreover, the collection method through bar code reader or touch screen of operators is analyzed and proposed to act up to machine to man/mobile/machine.

Recently, domestic interest in gender equality is increasing, and it is expected that the demand for the collection of children's gender equality in the library will increase due to these social changes. In this study, the top 10 public libraries in Korea were selected from the list of collections of gender equality books and collection / loan data presented by various institutions such as public libraries and 'children's library research groups'. For this purpose, 10 libraries in Korea were selected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively through the collection status of the gender equality collections, loan status, turnover, Bonn's use Factor, and Trueswell's 80/20 rule. Based on the results of this analysis, we would like to suggest some issues to be reflected in library development policy of the future.

National libraries have a responsibility to intensively develop, preserve, and provide national collections, which are the knowledge and cultural heritage of a country. In particular, in order to achieve 'advancing the base for access and preservation of national knowledge resources' among the four goals to fulfill the mission of the National Library of Korea, it is necessary to strengthen the national knowledge resources by expanding the external scope to not only domestic materials but also foreign materials. In other words, The National Knowledge Information Center collects the latest and retroactive data produced in Korea, as well as high-quality academic materials produced, distributed, and preserved in foreign countries as well as materials related to Korea. This study drew implications by investigating and analyzing the status of foreign collection and services of national libraries in developed countries. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the current level of collection of foreign collections of the National Library of Korea, and then present a strategy to secure high-quality academic and foreign materials related to Korea.

The purpose of this study is to improve the KESLI consortium by analyzing the status of participant organizations and their needs. A survey questionnaire including questions on consortium selection, management, and evaluation was distributed. The findings from the 179 responses indicate that the needs of the participants include issues related to the collection development policy, the cataloging of e-journals, user education, and evaluation. Therefore, KESLI should provide the following: (1) examples of collection development policy used for reference, (2) system development for e-journal cataloging, (3) materials and program guidelines for user education, and (4) education related to evaluation techniques for e-journal usages.

This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the antibiotic effects of leaves, stems, and roots in yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius). Antibacterial activity of leaf extract by disk diffusion method with Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli respectively showed 13.3 and 13.75mm diameters of clear zone. There was no significant difference between the stems and leaves. The minimum inhibitory concentration of leaves' heating and agitation extraction showed a restrain of strain at 1mg/ml, but the stems and root extract did not appear. Yacon is a functional antibacterial material, and methanol extraction is more effective than water. This research was to investigate the growth stage of collection has the most effective antibacterial effects. It has collected yacon's leaves from June to October, which is an appropriate time for collection right before reaping. Yacon leaf has antibacterial effects on Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecium, and Salmonella enteritifis. There were no significant differences by the growth stage of collection. Leaves collected in July are high in phenol which helps in sulfating activity works well considering the high scavenging capability of DPPH. Leaves collected in September are high in total flavonoid.

This study represents an attempt to forecast the increasingly complex and dynamic interplay between the transformation of media and collection management function in the networked environment. As the importance of electronic media rather than printed media is emphasized, there is a need to shift from the traditional collection management to content management for collection development strategy. In order to satisfy the needs of library users who have thirst for more various information, the traditional function of collection management has limitations. Therefore, we suggest that the future collection management must shift from the traditional collection management to content management.
