Three new species belonging to the subfamily Negastriinae, Oedostethus koreanus sp. nov., O. ovalatus sp. nov. and O. canicapillus sp. nov. are described. The genus Oedostethus is new to Korea.

A taxonomic study of the tribe Pinophilini is presentd. Three species are recognized, two of which are recorded for the first time in Korea (Pinophilus lewisius Sharp and P. rufipennis Sharp). The genus Pinophilus Gravenhorst is new to Korea.

Herein, 22 species of the ground beetles are reported from Korea. Of these, 3 species, Chlaenius kurosawai Kasahara, Chlaenius rambouseki Lutshnik, and Dromius jureceki Jedlicka are listed for the first time from South Korea.

A systematic review of the subjamily Osoriinae in Korea is presented. Six species are recognized, two of which are recorded for the first time in Korea [Eleusis coarctata Sharp and Mimogonus microps (Sharp)]. A key is provided for separation of the known species of the Osoriinae, and drawings of genitalia and photographs of habitus are presented.

The tribe Quediini from Korea is examined. One new species, Velleius circumipectus, and one new subspecies, Quedius japonicus sachonensis, are described, and four species, Heterothops rotundiceps, Q. japonicus (s. str.), Q. simulans, and V. setosus, are recorded firstly in Korea. As a result, Korean fauna of the tribe Quediini comprises 10 species and one subspecies belonging to three genera.

The taxonomy of marine littoral species of the genus Medon Stephens in Korea is presented. The genus and two species-Medon prolixus (Sharp) and M. rubeculus Sharp-are identified for the first time in the Korean Peninsula. Redescriptions of M. prolixus and M. rubeculus with an illustration of its habitus and line drawings are provided.
