점용접 박리-인장 시험편의 후면접촉 영향 (The Effects of Tail Contact for Spot Welding Peel-tension Specimen)

  • Spot welding has been used in the sheet metal joining processes because of its high productivity and convenience. In this study, predicting methods of fatigue life of spot welded joint have been investigated and fatigue and static tests were conducted with the peel-tension specimens using cold rolled steel plate(SPCC). Fatigue life of peel-tension spot welded joint was influenced by tail effect. Fatigue life evaluation using modified stress index parameter, considering the effective eccentric length, can predict the life more exactly than conventional stress index parameter.

  • 현재 업계에서 사용 중인 대부분의 탈지제는 중온 및 고온에서 사용하는 제품이 많으며, 거품의 발생 또한 많으므로 소포제를 넣지 않고서는 사용이 불가능한 약품이 대부분이다. 탈지제 거품의 발생은 탈지제의 세정력을 높이기 위해 주로 사용되는 음이온성 계면활성제의 특성에 의해 나타나게 되는데, 본 연구에서는 음이온성 계면활성제를 사용하지 않음으로 기포의 발생을 억제하고, 동시에 상온에서 사용할 수 있는 약품을 개발함으로써 생산 공정에서의 원가절감과 신뢰성 및 양산성의 향상을 도모하는데 그 목적이 있다.

파인 블랭킹 공정에서 전단면에 영향을 미치는 요소에 관한 연구 (Study on the shear surface factors in fine blanking process)

  • This study is performed for investigating the effects of shearing characteristics in fine blanking, such as camber, burr-height and dimensional accuracy, etc by experiments. Conventional hydraulic press equipped with specially designed hydraulic unit is used for experiments. Cold rolled steel sheet(3.0mm) materials which got properties, 2212.39kgf of maximum, $29.490kgf/mm^2$ of stress and 41.33% of strain were used. it can be concluded that the center distance of vee indenter ring can be obtained 2.0mm in SPCC 3.0t.

  • 알루미늄은 높은 내부식성과 우수한 물리적 특성으로 철강 제품의 부식방지를 위한 표면처리와 항공 우주분야 소재로 각광을 받아왔다. 알루미늄을 철강 제품의 부식방지를 위한 표면처리 소재로 사용되는 경우 비교적 두껍게(15 ${\mu}m$ 이상) 코팅된다. 본 연구에서는 얇은 두께(3 ${\mu}m$ 이하)의 알루미늄 박막을 이용하여 높은 내식성을 갖는 코팅 공정을 개발하고자 한다. 물리기상증착으로 코팅되는 대부분의 금속은 주상정 구조를 갖는다. 주상정 구조는 grain boundary에 공극이 존재하고, 이 공극을 통해서 부식을 일으키는 물질이 보호막과 모재의 계면으로 침투하여 모재가 부식을 일으킨다. 스퍼터링 공정을 제어하여 알루미늄 박막의 공극 발생을 억제하여 보호막으로서의 기능을 향상할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 알루미늄 코팅을 위해서 magnetron sputtering을 이용하였으며, 기판은 냉연강판을 사용하였다. 냉연강판위에 코팅된 알루미늄 박막을 분석한 결과, 스퍼터링 소스에 역방향 자기장을 인가하여 코팅한 알루미늄 박막이 염수분무 120 시간 후에도 적청이 발생하지 않는 우수한 내식성을 보였다.

축대칭 벌징형 하이드로포밍 공정에 대한 이론 및 실험적 연구 (Theoretical and Experimental Study of the Axisymmetric Fluid Pressure-Driven Hydroforming Process)

  • The study is concerned with the theoretical and experimental investigation of axisymmetric fluid pressure-driven hydroforming of sheet metal by forming over the die cavity. The rigid-plastic finite element method is employed to calculate the stress and strain distribution. The effect of blank size and die radius is also studied in the finite element analysis. Experiments are carried out for hydroforming of cold-rolled steel sheets under various process conditions. The computational results are compared with the experimental results for the forming pressure vs. pole displacement relations and strain distributions. Comparison has shown that theoretical predictions by the finite element method are in good agreement with the experiment with the experimental observations. Thus, it is shown that the rigid-plastic finite element method is effectively used in the analysis of axisymmetric fluid pressure-driven hydroforming process.

  • 소성이방성은 판재의 가공성을 결정하는 중요한 인자로써 주로 기계적인 인장시험에 의해 측정되고 평가되어 왔다. 압연 방향에 대하여 상대적인 방향으로 진행하는 초음파의 속도로부터 집합조직의 결정분포함수를 구할 수 있으며, 결정분포함수의 계수인 결정방위계수는 소성이방성의 평균값들과 상관 관계를 갖는다. 본 실험에서는 초음파 속도로 구한 결정방위계수와 압연강판의 소성이방성을 비교하여 서로의 상관 관계를 구하였으며, 측정결과 average normal anisotropy, $\bar{\gamma}$${\pm}0.082$, average planar anisotropy, ${\Delta}r$${\pm}0.096$의 편차 내에서 예측 가능하였다. 초음파 속도 측정에는 공진주파수측정법이 적용되었고, 초음파의 송수신에는 EMAT가 이용되었다.

Al-Mg 코팅층의 구조가 강판 내식성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Coating Structure on the Corrosion Resistance of Al-Mg Coated Steel)

  • Double-layered Al-Mg films have been deposited by using an e-beam deposition method on a cold-rolled steel sheet(CR), which the structure of the film was Al/Mg/CR. The micro-structure, alloy phase, and corrosion resistance of the Al-Mg coated CR were investigated before and after heat treatment at $400^{\circ}C$ for 2, 3, and 10 min in a nitrogen atmosphere. Total thickness of Al-Mg films was fixed at $3{\mu}m$ and the thickness ratio of Al and Mg layers(Al:Mg) has been changed from 5:1 to 1:5. The cross-sectional morphology of the films, which had the thickness ratio of 2:1(Al:Mg), 1:1, and 1:2, was changed after heat treatment from columnar to featureless structure. The x-ray diffraction data for as-deposited films showed only pure Al and Mg peaks. Al-Mg alloy peaks such as $Al_3Mg_2$ and $Al_{12}Mg_{17}$ phase appeared after the heat treatment. The Al-Mg coating with the thickness ratio of 1:1(Al:Mg) showed the best corrosion resistance of up to 500 hours by salt spray test.

75% 수소 BATCH 소둔시에서의 코일 온도변화에 관한 연구 (A study on coil temperature bariation in 75% hydrogen batch annealing furnace)

  • A Cold spot temperature control system for the batch annealing furnace has been estabilished in order to reduce energy consumption to improve productivity and stabilize the propertics of products. Therefore we confirmed a relation between annealing cycle time and atmospheric gas, variation of coil cold spot temperature with time during heating and actual temperature measurements at mid-width of each coil during heating and actual temperature measurements at mid-width of each coil during soaking. The results of the tempaeature variation effect on the batch annealing are as follows. 1) Heating time is reduced to one half with increasing atmospheric gas flow rate and changing of atmospheric gas component from HNx to Ax gas, and annealing cycle time is reduced to 2.7 times. 2) In case of short time healing, the slowest heating part is the center of B coil, in case of long time heating, the low temperature point moves from the center of coil to inside coil. And the temperature in this part is higher than other parts when cooling. When finished heating, the cold spot is located 1/3 of coil inside in case of HNx atmospheric gas. But center of coil in case of Ax atmospheric gas. 3) The outside of top coil is the highest temperature point when heating, which becomes the lowest temperature point when cooling. So, this point becomes high temperature zone at heating and low temperature zone at cooling, It has relation according to atmospheric gas component and flow rate. 4) Soaking time at batch annealing cycle determination is made a decision by the input coil width, and soaking time for quality homogenization of 1214mm width coil must be 2.5 hours longer than that of 914mm width coil for the same ciol weight. 5) Annealing cycle time with Ax atmospheric gas is extended 1 hour in of slow cooling during 5 hours in order to avoid rapid cooling.

국부변형률근사법을 이용한 차체 점용접부의 피로수명 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study of Fatigue Life Prediction for Automotive Spot Weldment Using Local Strain Approach)

  • The fatigue crack initiation life is studied on automotive tensile-shear spot weldment made from cold rolled carbon steel(SPC) sheet by using DCPDM and local strain approach. It can be found that the fatigue crack initiation behavior in spot weldment can be definitely detected by DCPDM system. To predict the fatigue life of spot weldment, the local stresses and strains at the potential critical region are estimated by approximate method based on Neubers rule and elastic-plastic FEM analysis. A satisfactory correlation between the predicted life obtained from Local strain approach based on Neubers rule and experimental life can be found in spot weldment within a factor of 2.

언더레일의 롤포밍 공정 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on Roll Forming Simulation of Under Rail)

  • Roll forming process is one of the most widely used processes in the world for forming metals. It can manufacture goods of the uniform cross section throughout the continuous processing. However, process analysis is very difficult because of the inherent complexity. Therefore, time is consuming and much money are needed for manufacturing goods. In order to overcome this difficulty, a new computational method based on the rigid-plastic finite element method is developed for the analysis of roll forming process. In this paper, the design of roll forming process and the simulation are performed to manufacture the upper member at under rail composed of three members. The cold rolled carbon steel sheet(SCP-1) is used in this simulation, and a flow stress equation is set up by conducting the tensile test. The upper member is designed using two types of design for a excellent design. Each types are simulated and compared with the strain distribution using SHAPE-RF software. In addition, the numerical magnitude of bow and camber which are the buckling phenomenon is estimated.
