Objective: To develop healthier comminuted meat products to meet consumer demand, the gel properties, rheological properties, microstructure and water distribution of pork meat batters formulated with various amounts of bamboo shoot dietary fiber (BSDF) were investigated. Methods: Different levels of BSDF (0% to 4%) were added to pork batters, and the pH, color, water-holding capacity, texture and rheological properties of pork batters were determined. Then, pork batters were analyzed for their microstructure and water distribution using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR). Results: Compared with the control, BSDF addition into meat batters showed a significant reduction in L*-value and a significant increase in b*-value (p<0.05). BSDF addition of up to 4% reduced the pH value of pork batters by approximately 0.15 units; however, the cooking loss and expressible water loss decreased significantly (p<0.05) with the increased addition of BSDF. The hardness and gel strength were noticeably enhanced (p<0.05) as the content of BSDF increased. The rheological results showed that BSDF added into pork batters produced higher storage modulus (G') and loss modulus (G") values. The SEM images suggested that the addition of BSDF could promote pork batters to form a more uniform and compact microstructure. The proportion of immobilized water increased significantly (p<0.05), while the population of free water was decreased (p<0.05), indicating that BSDF improved the water-holding capability of pork batters by decreasing the fraction of free water. Conclusion: BSDF could improve the gel properties, rheological properties and water distribution of pork meat batters and decrease the proportion of free water, suggesting that BSDF has great potential as an effective binder in comminuted meat products.

A cold chain logistics (CCL) model for chilled food (-1℃ to 8℃) distributed in China was developed in this study. The CCL model consists of a distribution center (DC) and distribution target points (DT). The objective function of the CCL model is to minimize the total distribution routes of all distributors. To find the optimal result of the objective function, the hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) approach is proposed. The HGA approach was constructed by combining the improved K-means and genetic algorithm (GA) approaches. In the case study, three scenarios were considered for the CCL model based on the distribution routes and the available distance, and they were solved using the proposed HGA approach. Analysis results showed that the distribution costs and mileage were reduced by approximately 19%, 20% and 16% when the proposed HGA approach was used.
Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference of cold-heat pattern according to sasang constitution. Methods 3891 subjects were joined in this study. The sasang cinstitution diagnosis were proceeded by sasang constitution experts. The questionnaires and anthropometric measurements of the subjects were collected. This paper deals with the effectiveness analysis of an engineering system, which has two units of different strengths in parallel and one unit as a cold standby unit. Failure times for all the units have negative exponential distribution whereas their repair times have general distribution. Single server caters the need for the system. The effectiveness analysis of the system is done by using regenerative point technique. The different measures of effectiveness such as mean sojourn time, mean time to system failure, availability, busy period, etc, are derived. Cost factors also taken into consideration.

In the Southeast Sea of Korea, a cold water mass is formed intensively in summer every year, causing frequent abnormal sea conditions. In order to analyze the spatial changes of sea surface temperature distribution in this area, ocean fields buoy data observed at Gori and Jeongja and reanalyzed sea surface temperature(SST) data from GHRSST Level 4 were used from June to September 2018. The buoy data were used to analyze the time-series water temperature changes at two stations, and the GHRSST data were used to calculate the daily SST variance and weighted mean center(WMC) across the study area. When the buoy's water temperature was lowered, the variance of SST in the study area trend to increase, but it did not appear consistently for the entire period. This is because GHRSST is a reanalysis data that does not reflect sensitive changes in water temperature along the coast. As such, there is a limit to grasping the local small-scale water temperature change in the coast or detecting the location and extent of the cold water zone only by the statistical variance representing the SST change in the entire sea area. Therefore, as a result of using WMC to quantitatively determine the spatial location of the cold water mass, when the cold water zone occurred, WMC was located in the northwest sea area from the mean center(MC) of the study area. This means that it is possible to quantitatively identify where and to what extent the distribution of cold surface water temperature appears through SST's WMC location information, and we could see the possibility of WMC's use in detecting the scale of cold water zones and the extent of regional spread in the future.

On a large scale of data center, heat generation rates from sever computers occupy almost the entire cooling load of the building, and it is gradually increasing. The efficiency of air distribution system in data centers can be affected by heat generation rates of server computers. In this study, the distributions of airflow and temperature in a data center have been investigated by CFD simulations under various conditions of heat generation rates for server computers. From the results, air around the cold aisle which has high temperature flows tremendously into the cold aisle according to the increase of heat generation rates for server computers and the air temperature in the cold aisle becomes higher. The SHI (supply heat index) and RHI (return temperature index) show almost similar values to the cases study because the air inflow rates to server computers increase with the heat generation rates of server computers.

Spatial distribution of phytoplankton pigment concentration (PPC) and sea surface temperature (SST) around the East Korean Warm Current (EKWC) was described, using both ocean color images and advanced very high resolution radiometer (AVHRR) images. Water mass in this region can be classified into five categories in the horizontal profile of PPC and SST, nLw(normalized water-leaving radiance) images: (1) coastal cold water region associated with concentrations of dissolved organic material or yellow colored substances and suspended sediments, (2) cold water region of thermal frontal occurred by a combination of phytoplankton absorption and suspended materials, (3) warm water overlay region by the phytoplankton absorption than the suspended materials; (4) warm water region occurred by the low phytoplankton absorption, and (5) offshore region occurred by the high phytoplankton absorption. In particular, the highest PPC area appeared in the ocean color and SST images with a band shaped distribution of the thermal front and ocean color front region, which is located the coastal cold waters along western thermal front of the warm streamer of the EKWC.

Object : This study was conducted as part of the national project to standardize stroke diagnosis in Korean medicine. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the characteristics of acute stroke between heat pattern group and cold pattern group. Methods : We recruited stroke patients from 5 universities(Kyung-Hee University oriental medical center, Kyung-Hee University East-West Neo medical center, Kyungwon university lncheon oriental medical center, Kyungwon university Songpa oriental medical center and DongGuk university llsan oriental medical center) from April, 2007 until February, 2010. We diagnosed them and selected 463 heat pattern patients and 182 cold pattern patients. Results : We find that the risk factor of smoking, alcohol, diet(prefer to meat) are more associated with the heat pattern group. On the other hand, inflammation history in recent 3 months and diet(prefer to sea food) are more associated with the cold pattern group. RBC, Hg, Hct, TG, CK and Cl are more related to the heat pattern group. CPT, total cholesterol and HDL are more related to the cold pattern group. Tae-eum type takes high distribution of the heat pattern group, and So-eum type takes high distribution of the cold pattern group. Conclusions : This study provides evidence that the heat pattern group have more risk factor than the cold pattern group.
The shape of cold rolled steel sheets is defined as the degree of flatness, and the flatter, the better. Because undesirable strip shapes of cold rolled steel sheets can affect not only visible problem but also automatic working process in customer's lines, the requirement of the customers is more and more stringent. So we usually used the tension leveler to make high quality of strip flatness. For the improvement of the quality of strip flatness, this report developed three- dimensional FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation model, and analysis about the strain and stress distribution of strip in the tension leveling process. The numerical study can be summarized as follows. (1) If we pass the edge wave material (steepness: $1.0\%$) that the stress-difference between the strip center and the edge is 5.2kgf through tension leveler. the stress-difference is decreased 0.45kgf and the steepness is improved to $0.29\%$. (2) If the Intermesh is increased from 6mm to 7mm, the steepness is improved from $0.294\%$ to $0.268\%$. (3) If the initial steepness is decreased form $1.0\%$ to $0.75\%$, the final steepness is improved from $0.294\%$ to $0.263\%$. We know that more increased intermesh and lower initial steepness make the final steepness improved.

Over the past four years, as the COVID-19 pandemic has struck the world, cold chain of COVID-19 vaccination has become a hot topic. In order to overcome the pandemic situation, it is necessary to establish a cold chain that maintains a low-temperature environment below approximately 203K (-70℃), which is the appropriate storage temperature for vaccines, from vaccine suppliers to local hospitals. Usually, cryocoolers are used to maintain low temperatures, but it is difficult for small-scale local distribution to have cryocooler due to budget and power supply issues. Accordingly, in this paper, a cryogenic TSU (Thermal storage unit) system for vaccination cold chain is designed that can maintain low temperatures below -70℃C for a long time without using a cryocooler. The performance of the TSU system according to the energy storage material for using as TSU is experimentally evaluated. In the experiments, four types of cold storage materials were used: 20% DMSO aqueous solution, 30% DMSO aqueous solution, paraffin wax, and tofu. Prior to the experiment, the specific heat of the cold storage materials at low temperature were measured. Through this, the thermal diffusivity of the materials was calculated, and paraffin wax had the lowest value. As a result of the TSU system's low-temperature maintenance test, paraffin wax showed the best low-temperature maintenance performance. And it recorded a low-temperature maintenance time that was about 24% longer than other materials. As a result of analyzing the temperature trend by location within the TSU system, it was observed that heat intrusion from the outside was not well transmitted to the low temperature area due to the low thermal conductivity of paraffin wax. Therefore, in the TSU system for vaccine storage, it was experimentally verified that the lower the thermal diffusivity of the cold storage material, the better low temperature maintenance performance.
