온.냉적용시 신체부위별 및 시간에 따른 체온변화에 대한 연구 (A Study about Change in the Temperature by Each Region and Time After Hot & Cold Application)

  • This paper was the study of a change in the body temperature of each region(Oral cavity, Axillary, Cubital, Popliteal, Inguinal region)and by time after appling hot(Hot Pack, Infra Red) and cold (Ice Pack, Cooling Pack) to lumbar region. The statistical measures were sampled through 16 senior students in dept. of Physiothrapy, Kim Cheun College and the period for this was from July 13, 1995 to July 20, 1995. There was an increse in the temperature of distal portion besides application area after hot application. The increse in the body temperature according to applied agents and time showed significance statistically(p<0.01, p<0.05). There was just a decrease in the temperature of distal portions besides application area after appling Ice Pack. Furthermore there was an increase in the body temperature after appling Cooling Towel. Therefore, during cold application the appling agents and time did not showed any significance statistically.

  • In solar industry, numerous researchers reported about cold spray method among various electrode formation technic, but there are no known a bonding mechanism of metal powder. In this study, a cross-section of copper electrode formed by cold spray method was observed and heterogeneous phase between silicon substrate and copper electrode was analyzed using morphology observation technic. SEM and TEM analysis were performed to analyze a crystallinity and distribution shape of heterogeneous copper phase. Molecular dynamics simulation was performed to calculate glass transition temperature of copper metal. In the result, amorphous copper phase was observed near interface between silicon substrate and metal electrode. The results of the molecular dynamics simulation show that an amorphous copper phase could be formed at a temperature below the melting point of copper because cold spraying resulted in a lower glass transition temperature.

하이브리드법을 이용한 열전냉각의 수치해석 연구 (Computer Simulation Study of the Thermoelectric Cooling by Hybrid Method)

  • The purpose of this study is to minimize the heat transfer surface area and cold fluid exit temperature of heat exchanger which applied to the refrigeration and air-conditioning system by utilizing the thermoelectric principle. Both uniform and non-uniform current distribution methods which applied to the analysis of the TE elements that incorporates heat exchanger were investigated. The non-uniform current distribution method had the better coefficient of performance and had the lower cold fluid exit temperature of the TE cooling system than the uniform current distribution method. It was found that if a TE cooling system incorporates a heat exchanger, a non-uniform current distribution should guarantee to the lowest cold fluid exit temperature. Also, the hybrid method (combination of the uniform and non-uniform current distribution method) is investigated to achieve the best results by combining the uniform and non-uniform current distributions. The results show that it can lower the cold fluid exit temperature and reduce the heat transfer surface area for the parallel flow arrangement if we apply the constant current in some entry region and the non-uniform increasing current in the direction of the cold fluid flow afterwards.

냉기침강효과를 고려한 복잡지형의 최저기온 분포 추정 (Minimum Temperature Mapping in Complex Terrain Considering Cold Air Drainage)

  • Site-specific minimum temperature forecasts are critical in a short-term decision making procedure for preventive measures as well as a long-term strategy such as site selection in fruits industry. Nocturnal cold air pools frequently termed in mountainous areas under anticyclonic systems are very dangerous to the flowering buds in spring over Korea, but the spatial resolution to detect them exceeds the current weather forecast scale. To supplement the insufficient spatial resolution of official forecasts, we developed a GIS - assisted frost risk assesment scheme for using in mountainous areas. Daily minimum temperature data were obtained from 6 sites located in a 2.1 by 2.1 km area with complex topography near the southern edge of Sobaek mountains during radiative cooling nights in spring 2001. A digital elevation model with a 10 m spatial resolution was prepared for the entire study area and the cold air inflow was simulated for each grid cell by counting the number of surrounding cells coming into the processing cell. Primitive temperature surfaces were prepared for the corresponding dates by interpolating the Korea Meteorological Administration's automated observational data with the lapse rate correction. The cell temperature values corresponding to the 6 observation sites were extracted from the primitive temperature surface, and subtracted from the observed values to obtain the estimation error. The errors were regressed to the flow accumulation at the corresponding cells, delineating a statistically significant relationship. When we applied this relationship to the primitive temperature surfaces of frost nights during April 2002, there was a good agreement with the observations, showing a feasibility of site-specific frost warning system development in mountainous areas.

  • Garlic (Allium sativum)is a major crop in most Asian countries, and its consumption in Asia-Pacific countries exceeds 90% of the global consumption. It contains beneficial ingredients and numerous essential nutrients, such as manganese, vitamin B6, and vitamin B1. Garlic demand is rising not only in Asian countries but also around the world. Particularly, garlic demand has been steadily increasing in European countries, such as Spain, France, Italy, and the American continent. In South Korea, 331,671 tons and 387,671 tons of garlic was produced in 2018 and 2019, respectively, making the country the fifth ranking garlic producer in the world, and the production has been increasing every year. In this study, the study on temperature distribution in cold storage of Korean garlic in folding wire mesh pallet container using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis was performed and Computations were based a commercial simulation software (ANSYS Workbenh Ver. 18.0). Considering the respiration heat of garlic, the decreasing rate of temperature in the area in contact with the cold air was fast due to the inflow of cold air inside, while the decreasing rate of temperature in the center of the pallet was very low. In order to maintain a uniform temperature distribution inside the agricultural product storage pallet in a low-temperature warehouse, it is considered desirable to install an air passageway to allow low-temperature air to flow into the wire mesh pallet.

한반도 겨울철 한파와 관련된 대기 순환과 열원의 특성 (Characteristics of Atmospheric Circulation and Heat Source related to Winter Cold Surge in Korea)

  • 이 연구에서는 1979년부터 1999년까지 21년 동안에 한반도 겨울철 한파와 관련된 대기 순환 및 열원$(Q_1)$의 분포 특성을 조사하였다. 한파 발생 빈도는 1년간 약 1개로 나타났으며, 1989년을 중심으로 전반기에 전체의 $60\%$가 발생하였다. 한파 발생 동안 하층의 대기 순환 패턴은 평년에 비해 서고동저형의 기압 패턴이 더 뚜렷하며, 상층에서도 한반도에 기압골의 영향이 더 강하게 나타난다. 한파가 발생하는 동안에 한반도 부근의 기온 하강 패턴은 바이칼호 부근의 기온 패턴과 반대로 나타나며, 기온의 연직 구조에서도 400 hPa을 기준으로 하층과 상층의 기온 편차는 반대로 나타난다. 열원에 대한 분석은 한파 발생 시 한랭 이류에 의한 냉각은 하강 운동에 의한 단열 승온에 의해 균형을 이룬다는 것을 보여주는데, 이것은 한랭 핵의 이동이 열흡수원의 이동 경로와 연관되어 있음을 나타낸다. 따라서 한파의 유지 기작을 이해하고 한파를 예측하기 위해서는 열원 그리고 열흡수원의 이동 기작이 밝혀져야 할 것이다.

동갈돗돔, Hapalogenys nitens 난과 자치어의 생존 및 성장에 미치는 저염분 및 저수온의 영향 (Influence of Low Salinity and Cold Water Temperature on the Hatching, Survival and Growth of the Offspring of Grunt, Hapalogenys nitens)

  • 본 연구는 동갈돗돔의 양식생물학적 기초자료를 확보하고자 염분의 영향과 수온의 영향을 조사하였다. 염분의 경우 수정란의 부화와 부상률, 자어의 부상률 및 생존율, 치어의 성장과 생존에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 수온의 경우 일간 수온 변화 정도, 급성 저수온 충격, 완만한 수온 감소에 따른 생존, 먹이섭식 및 유영능력을 조사하였다. 염분의 영향에서 수정란의 부화율과 부상률 및 자어의 부상률과 생존율은 자연 해수 염분(32 psu)에 가까울수록 높게 나타났다. 치어의 성장과 생존의 경우에는 기수의 염분(5~20 psu)의 경우 해수 염분(25~32 psu)과 유의한 차이가 없었다. 다만 담수의 경우만 유의하게 낮았다. 수온의 영향에 관한 3가지 실험 모두에서 급성이던 만성이던 수온의 하락폭이 클수록 생존율, 먹이섭식 및 유영활동이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 실험을 통해 동갈돗돔은 성장과 생존은 일반 해수염분에서 가장 좋았고, 월동의 임계수온은 $8^{\circ}C$로 나타났다.

  • Cold spray (Cold gas dynamic spray, kinetic spray) is the latest spray coating process that is known as solid state deposition process. In cold spray, inert gases (typically nitrogen and helium) accelerate powder particles prior to impact onto the substrate. Accelerating particles start to deposit onto the substrate after reaching certain critical velocities depending on the coating materials and substrate. Since process gas temperatures are kept below to melting temperature of the coating materials, it is possible to spray temperature sensitive materials such as copper and titanium, nanocrystal materials, and amorphous metals without affecting the phase change and oxide formation. It is also possible to deposit thick coatings because cold spray coatings present compressive residual stresses. This ability to deposit thick coatings is suitable to repair or rebuild parts as an additive manufacturing process. In this presentation, cold spray is introduced and compared to other additive manufacturing processes such as laser and electron beam based processes. It is also presented some applications especially in the view point of additive manufacturing process.

  • A new model for heat transfer and thermal deformation analysis according to strip mm in coiling process has been proposed. Finite difference analyses for heat transfer of cold rolled coil have been carried out under various coiling tensions and strip crown using the equivalent thermal conductivity for the radial direction of cold rolled coil which is a function of strip thickness, surface characteristics and compressive pressure. The compressive pressure is calculated from a equation expressed as a function of hoop stress and coil tension considering strip mm obtained by experiment. Finite element method for thermal deformation of cold rolled coil has been performed to investigate the effects of the strip crown, the coil tension and temperature. From these analyses, it is found that the axial inhomogeneity of thermal deformation is increased as the strip crown, compressive pressure, and temperature drop in cold coiled strip increase.

촉매가 장착된 가솔린엔진에서 동기화된 2차공기분사에 의한 배기 탄화수소 저감 (Reducing Exhaust Hydrocarbon at Gasoline Engine with Catalytic Converter using Synchronized Secondary Air Injection)

  • A synchronized secondaty air injection method has been developed to hydrocarbon emission by injecting secondary air intermittently into exhaust port. The method has been tested in a single cylinder spark-ignition engine operating at cold-steady / cold-start conditions. Effects of air injection timing, intake pressure and engine air-fuel ratio have been investigated at cold-steady condition. Also, hydrocarbon emission and exhaust gas temperature with catalytic conberter are compared with a continuous SAI method and base condition at cold-start condition. Resules show that hydrocarbon reduction rate and exhaust gas temperature are sensitive to the timing of synchronized SAI. At cold-steady condition, HC emission is minimum at engine air-fuel ratio of 10. At cold-start condition, the accumulated hydrocarbon emission during the first 120 s decreases about 56% and 22% with the synchronized and continuous SAI, respectively, compared to that of base condition.
