차체용 알루미늄합금 판재의 스프링백 특성과 브래킷 성형성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Springback Characteristics and Bracket Formabilities Enhancement of Aluminum Alloy Sheets for Autobody Application)

  • This paper deals with development of brackets by using aluminum alloy sheets which is indispensable for weight reduction of autobody. The press formability of aluminum alloy sheet is estimated by means of tensile test, V bending test, sample manufacturing test and photograph of microstructure. The results show that the elongation, strength, work hardening exponent, plastic anisotropy coefficient of Al 6***series are better than those of Al 5***series, but for general press formability, Al 5***series are better than Al 6***series due to lower yield strength. Since most of mechanical properties of aluminum sheet are generally inferior to those of cold-rolled steel sheet, shape fixability and press formability of aluminum sheet are very poor. For making components of autobody by use of die for steel sheet application, it is essential that die should be nodified for least bending and stretching. With the modified die for aluminum, it could be possible to make brackets, the component of autobody. Microstructure of Al 5***series has fine grain and small the 2nd phase and that of Al 6***series has relatively coarse grain. Therefore, it seems that fine grain and small the 2nd phase of Al 5***series is one of the factor of lower yield strength, resistance to stamping work, formation of Luder's line.

냉연강판의 기계적 물성과 자기적 특성의 상관관계 (Correlation Between Mechanical and Magnetic Properties for Cold Rolled Carbon Steel Sheet)

  • 구조 강이나 터빈로터 강의 기계적 물성은 자기적 특성과 관계되므로, 비파괴적으로 자기적 특성을 측정하여 기계적 물성을 평가하는 연구가 많이 수행되었다. 따라서 자동차용 강판으로 사용되는 냉연강판에서도 비파괴적으로 자기적 특성을 측정함으로써 냉연강판의 기계적 물성을 유추할 수 있을 것이고, 냉연강판 생산 라인에서 자기적 특성을 측정하여 온라인상에서 냉연강판의 기계적 특성을 모니터할 수 있을 것이다. 기계적 특성이 다른 세 종류의 냉연강판 CBQ 3060, CBQ 3041 및 CBQ 3036의 시편을 준비하고 교류 섭동 자기장을 인가하여 자기적 특성인 가역투자율을 비파괴적으로 측정함으로서 기계적 물성인 경도와의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 세 종류의 냉연강판 시편에서 기계적 물성인 비커스 경도, 항복강도 및 인장강도를 측정하였다. 주파수가20 Hz일 때, surface type 프로브로 측정한 섭동자기장의 제 1차 고조파인 가역투자율의 피크 간 간격에서 구한 보자력은 비커스경도, 항복강도 및 인장강도가 증가할 때 선형적으로 증가하였다. 주파수 20 Hz에서 lift-off에 대한 가역투자율 측정을 하였는데,lift-off가 증가함에 따라 고조파의 amplitude가 급격히 감소하였다.

Methyltrimethoxysilane과 Trimethylethoxysilane을 이용한 비불소계 발수 코팅 도막의 제조 (Preparation of Non-Fluorinated Water Repellent Coating Films Using Methyltrimethoxysilane and Trimethylethoxysilane)

  • Methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS)과 trimethylethoxysilane (TMES)을 전구체로 사용하여 비 불소계 발수 코팅 용액을 제조하였다. 이 코팅 용액을 냉연 강판 위에 스핀 코팅하고 열 경화시켜 발수 코팅 도막을 제조 하였다. 이 과정 중 코팅 도막의 소수성에 미치는 TMES/MTMS의 몰 비 영향이 연구되었다. 코팅 도막의 소수성은 접촉각 측정, 표면 형상 분석 및 적외선 분광법을 사용하여 연구되었다. TMES/MTMS의 몰 비를 0에서 30까지 변화 시켰을 때, 코팅되지 않은 냉연강판의 접촉각은 $30^{\circ}$인 반면에 TMES/MTMS의 몰 비가 1인 경우는 접촉각이 $104^{\circ}$로 크게 증가하여 발수성이 향상되었다. 또한 TMES/MTMS의 몰 비가 10, 15, 25, 30인 경우는 각각 접촉각이 $109^{\circ}$, $114^{\circ}$, $117^{\circ}$, $144^{\circ}$로 TMES/MTMS의 몰 비가 증가할수록 냉연강판의 접촉각이 점차 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이때 코팅 도막의 소수성은 표면 거칠기의 증가와 코팅 표면에서의 메틸 성분의 함량 증가로 인해 향상되었다. 특히 TMES/MTMS의 몰 비가 30인 경우에는 TMES의 메틸기로 인한 발수성뿐만 아니라 표면 입자의 존재로 인해 전체적인 표면 거칠기가 크게 증가하였기 때문에 $144^{\circ}$의 초발수성을 나타내었다.

  • Recently, electric vehicles and hybrid cars are being promoted as alternatives to reduce automobile emissions. Generally, thin sheet materials such as aluminum alloy AA300X and cold-rolled steel sheet such as JIS-G-3141 are used for the container for the lithium-ion secondary batteries. In this study, a multi-stage deep drawing process is used to produce a rectangular cup from thin stainless steel sheet material, SUS409L, with an initial blank thickness of 0.4mm for the battery container application. Numerical simulations of the first through the fifth stages for the multi-stage deep drawing with thin SUS409L sheet were conducted using LS-Dyna3D Implicit/Explicit. Special consideration was given to the deformation characteristics due to the normal anisotropy of the sheet material. The numerical simulations were conducted with both isotropic properties and the anisotropic properties of the initial blank material. An unexpected forming failure, barreling in the bottom region of the deep drawn rectangular cup, was observed. This failure mode can be avoided by additional ironing thickness control during the process.

  • 자동차 도장 전처리 공정 중 인산염처리는 소지와 도장층 사이의 밀착성을 향상시키고, 강판의 내식성을 향상시키는 목적으로 행하여진다. 인산염 조직이 치밀하게 형성되지 못하면 도장층 박리 등의 불량이 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기로재 BAF(Batch Annealing Furnace) 냉연강판의 인산염처리 특성에 대한 분석 및 개선안 도출 과정을 서술하였다.

Ni도금강판의 극저주파 차폐 특성 (ELF Shielding Effectiveness of Ni Electrodeposited Steel Sheets)

  • In order to enhance the electromagnetic shielding efficiency of commercialized cold-rolled steel sheets, we have prepared Ni deposited steel sheets by the electrodeposition method. Surface alloying with Ni and Fe was achieved on a steel sheet by diffusion annealing process. Shielding effectiveness measurement results showed that annealed Ni electrodeposited steel sheets enhanced the shielding efficiency up to about 3 dB in the frequency range of 20 to 200Hz, compared with that of non-deposited steel sheets.

자동차용 강판의 접착특성 - 접착부위 접합 강도와 영향인자 - (Characteristics of Adhesive bonded Joints of Steels for Automobile(I))

  • The characteristics of adhesive bonded joint of steels for automobile were investigated. Shear and tear strength were tested and analyzed for the joints of cold rolled steel sheets bonded with three kinds of epoxy and urethane based adhesive. The results showed that the tensile shear strength and the tear strength of adhesive joint were affected by the shape of adhesive joint such as the length and width of adhesive joint. The thickness of adhesive layer was very important factor affecting the bonding strength. The shear strength increased with decrease of the thickness of adhesive layer, while the tear strength decreased as the thickness of adhesive layer decreased. In comparison with the strength of spot welded joint, the shear strength of adhesive Joint was higher than that of spot welded joint, but the tear strength of adhesive Joint was lower than that of spot welded joint.

  • In recently, annealing process of cold rolled sheet tend to change to continuous annealing process for improving quality, saving yield. In the meantime as demand for various kind and small lot of products has been increasing, batch annealing has been appreciated for its small restriction for the operation. So, we tested on the effect for the proper heating temperatures, heating time of cycle, cooling time and total cycle time in this annealing process of hi tensile strength steel for automobile. As a result of several investigation. we confirmed for the following characteristics; In this process, we knew that 68$0^{\circ}C$ is suitable for this heating temp. cycle heating time of 38 Hr, cooling time of 31 Hr and total cycle time of 70 Hr. Still more, we could know that it is proper for cold rolling before annealing to be managed by 7 pass because of the act on high pressure.

  • At 21st century, material development concepts were changed to fulfill the environmental friendly demands. This study is to study the effect of pressurized nitrogen gas and manganese in high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel(HNS) in which N and Mn elements substitute the nickel element. 100kg HNS ingots were made by Pressurized Vacuum Induction Melting(P-VIM) and were forged according to free forging process. As forged HNS were hot and cold rolled by pilot scale rolling machine. Depending on the rolling condition, the mechanical properties of HNS were changed. The roll thrust and sheet folding showed asymmetry condition between work and drive side during cold and hot rolling. The purpose of this study are to improve workability the hot and cold rolling machine and to set the conditions for establishing the rolling process.

Fatigue Strength Evaluation of the Clinch Joints of a Cold Rolled Steel Sheet

  • Static tensile and fatigue tests were conducted using tensile-shear specimens to evaluate the fatigue strength of a SPCC sheet clinch joint. The maximum tensile strength of the specimen produced at the optimal punching force was 1750 kN. The fatigue endurance limit (=760 N) approached 43% of the maximum tensile load (=1750 N) at a load ratio of 0.1, suggesting that the fatigue limit is approximately half of the value of the maximum tensile strength. The FEM analysis showed that at the fatigue endurance limit, the maximum von-Mises stress of 373 MPa is very close to the ultimate tensile strength of the SPCC sheet (=382 MPa).
