  • The purpose of this study is to propose the method to improve management aspect and facilities plan to enhance spatial cognition of visitors through visitors' analysis of spatial cognition regarding tourism destination facilities. The research model was established by factors affecting spatial cognition such as facilities characteristics and visitor characteristics as well as spatial cognition of visitors' facilities to achieve objectives of research, and actual proof analysis was made to visitors to Nami Island tourism destination based of this. As a result of analysis, it was proved that visitor characteristics including their gender and age, and tour map use as well as facilities characteristics of facilities type, location, etc showed a statistically significant difference in visitors' spatial cognition. In addition, it is deemed as a result of analysis that Nami Island requires re-organization of symbolic features and attractiveness of food and beverage facility, while needing additional installment and rearrangement of information facilities and related facilities. The result of this research suggests that close analysis and application of factors affect spatial cognition such as facilities and visitors' characteristics to plan and manage the tourism destination facilities effectively. Moreover, visitors' spatial cognition is related to spatial characteristics of tourism destination, therefore it is analyzed that the uniqueness of facilities played an important role in improving female's spatial cognition. In particular, the result of this study is meaningful in that in light of plan and management for tourism destination facilities, the function to provide tourism destination plays a major role in improving visitors' spatial cognition regardless of complexity of spatial structure of tourism destination.

  • We can understand in the context of kant's philosophy the intuitive geometry education arguing that geometry education should begin with intuition. Both Pestalozzi and Herbart advocate a connection between geometry and intuition as well as a close relationship between geometry and the world. Significance of the intuitive geometry education resizes in the fact that geometry becomes both an example of and a principle of general cognition. The intuitive geometry education uses figures as an educational foundation in the transcendental condition for the main agent of cognition. In this regard, the intuitive geometry education provides grounds for the human character development.

This change was able to expand the cyber space, and the online community known as the cyber community is made within the existing offline community. From the cyber community's activity, the concept of social network services created, and recently developed social computing. Social computing is the current situation and the next step in the online community. Currently, most CIOs are using social computing for workplace empowerment. As online transactions become more active, the strategy to increase customer loyalty in Internet shopping is an effective tool to increase profit for the company, and as a method to maintain competitive. With the growth of electronic commerce, through insurance of customer loyalty on the Internet, a company can establish a long-term relationship with customers, so for this, it is important to have reliable relationship with customers. Also, through advertisement and commercial information, the cognition of Internet shopping looks can be effective in retaining customers. In this study, it explores how social computing and trust and cognition of Internet shopping are effective in maintaining customer loyalty. As the result of study, the trust and cognition of Internet shopping are significantly effective on customer loyalty, but the sense of social computing. Still, social computing has not matured enough to be as effective in retaining customer loyalty. However, it does indicate that social computing has significantly increased the trust and cognition in Internet shopping. In this study, as the concepts of the social network service and social computing are applied in Internet shopping, which are actively discussed by scholars, it is expected that the basis of the study could improve and present the idea of social shopping.

  • In this thesis, the cognition of students gifted in science on pseudo science was studied in order to acquire basic data to develop a learning program. As a first step, the difference of cognition on pseudo science between science-gifted students and general students in elementary, middle and high schools was studied. Findings revealed that science-gifted students had more negative thought on pseudo science than general students. In addition, there was no progress in their cognition on pseudo science as entered higher grades. Secondly, the cognition of students in a science high school, three times over a 6-month period, was studied. Through this study, it was found that student concepts of pseudo science was not firm, and it is quite possible to induce students to think logically and rationally with the help of a well-organized learning program. Lastly, the factors that might affect student ideas on pseudo science were researched. Students were affected by media such as television and books and also by personal experience. Therefore, students should be trained to correctly judge information presented in the media as authentic or false. Moreover, they should also be provided chances to look back on positive astrological experiences.

  • The study seeks to conduct an oral stereognosis assessment of the elderly, identify characteristics and confirm the association with cognition, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living(IADL), Quality of Life(QOL). Oral stereognosis(OS) was evaluated on 20 senior citizens aged 75 or older living in Gyeonggi-do. Cognition was used as MoCA-K(Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Korean), IADL as K-IADL(Korean Instrumental Activities of Daily Living), and QOL as GQOL(Geriatric Quality of Life scale). OS decreases accuracy with age, unaffected by the level of education. Shapes with clear edges and broad sides were found to be easy to recognize. OS is related to cognition, IADL and QOL. Through this study, the OS of the elderly could predict the functional level and QOL, including cognition. Therefore, it can be used as a basic research for the physical and mental health management of the elderly through oral lectures, and the development of oral stereognosis tools for the elderly through large scale subjects should be made.

  • The main purpose of this study is to understand the marketing approaches and strategies that are used to disseminating biodegradable fishing gears and distinguish the cognition and the non-cognition group's attitudes on the product. We used a technology acceptance model for analyzing product attributes and its impacts on fishers' purchase. The result of this research shows that 'perceived usefulness and easiness of use' have positive effect on 'purchase intention,' and then give impacts on 'purchase intention' for the entire respondents. For the cognitive respondents these factors have influence on 'attitude' but they do not affect 'purchase decision.' However, 'perceived usefulness and easiness of use' have much positive impact on 'purchase intention.' In the non-cognition group, the 'perceived intention' and 'company and country of manufacturers' have direct positive effect on 'purchase intention' through 'attitude' and also 'on 'purchase intention.' This research provides some meaningful policy implications on further development and technology marketing of biodegradable fishing gears.

  • This paper retraces the development of Database Semantics (DBS) from its beginnings in Montague grammar. It describes the changes over the course of four decades and explains why they were seen to be necessary. DBS was designed to answer the central theoretical question for building a talking robot: How does the mechanism of natural language communication work? For doing what is requested and reporting what is going on, a talking robot requires not only language but also non-language cognition. The contents of non-language cognition are re-used as the meanings of the language surfaces. Robot-externally, DBS handles the language-based transfer of content by using nothing but modality-dependent unanalyzed external surfaces such as sound shapes or dots on paper, produced in the speak mode and recognized n the hear mode. Robot-internally, DBS reconstructs cognition by integrating linguistic notions like functor-argument and coordination, philosophical notions like concept-, pointer-, and baptism-based reference, and notions of computer science like input-output, interface, data structure, algorithm, database schema, and functional flow.
