실시간 처리를 위한 컨테이너 ISO코드 인식시스템의 구현 (Implementation of the Container ISO Code Recognition System for Real-Time Processing)

  • 컨테이너 ISO코드 인식시스템은 ISO코드 검출 및 영상 획득, ISO코드 영역 추출, 개별 문자 추출, 문자인식 및 데이터베이스의 5가지 핵심부분으로 구성된다. 이 중에서도 ISO코드 추출의 정확성은 전체 시스템 인식률에 지대한 영향을 줄 수 있는 부분이며, 다양한 컨테이너 종류 및 주위 환경 변화에서도 정확한 추출을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 획득된 영상을 주위 환경 변화에도 적응 가능한 이 진화 방법을 사용하여 ISO코드 템플릿의 영역을 이 진화하고 ISO코드의 분포를 가지는 후보 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 후보 영역 중에서 ISO코드 문자 분포의 특성을 이용한 검증과정을 통해 최종 영역을 추출하여 ISO코드를 인식하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템을 실시간으로 컨테이너에서 획득한 영상에 적용한 결과 다양한 컨테이너 종류 및 주위 환경변화에서도 ISO코드 영역이 정확히 추출됨을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, distribution load analysis using AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) data is researched in electric utilities. Load analysis method based on AMR system generates the typical load profile using load data of AMR customers, estimates the load profile of non-AMR customers, and analyzes the peak load and load profile of the distribution circuits and sectors per every 15 minutes/hour/day/week/month. Typical load profile is generated by the algorithm calculating the average amount of power consumption of each groups having similar load patterns. Traditional customer clustering mechanism uses only contract type code as a key. This mechanism has low accuracy because many customers having same contract code have different load patterns. In this research, We propose a customer clustring mechanism using k-means algorithm with contract type code and AMR data.

  • In order to analyze the discharge-pumped KrF excimer laser, computer simulation code is developed. On the other hand, the electron velocity distribution in a discharge plasma, measured by the Thomson scattering method, showed the Maxwellian, while the code predicted non-Maxwellian. This disagreement was solved by introducing the electron-electron collision into the simulation code. We also developed a simulation code on the CO2 laser-heated plasma in high-pressure Ar gas, and estimated the formation process of Ar2 excimer. The code predicted the possibility of the Ar2 laser action at 126 nm.

  • The 4th generation SFR is being designed with a milestone of construction by 2028. It is important to understand the subchannel flow characteristics in fuel assembly through the experimental investigations and to estimate the calculation uncertainties for insuring the confidence of the design code calculation results. The friction coefficient and the mixing coefficient are selected as primary parameters. The two parameters are related to the flow distribution and diffusion. To identify the flow distribution, an iso-kinetic method was developed based on the previous study. For the mixing parameters, a wire mesh system and a laser induced fluorescence methods were developed in parallel. The measuring systems were adopted on 37 rod bundle test geometry, which was developed based on the Euler number scaling. A scaling method for a design of experimental facility and the experimental identification techniques for the flow distribution and mixing parameters were developed based on the measurement requirement.

  • A code is developed using the hybrid Cartesian/immersed boundary method and it is applied to simulate flows around a three-dimensional deforming body. A new criterion is suggested to distribute the immersed boundary nodes based on edges crossing a body boundary. Velocities are reconstructed at the immersed boundary nodes using the interpolation along a local normal line to the boundary. Reconstruction of the pressure at the immersed boundary node is avoided using the hybrid staggered/non-staggered grid method. The developed code is validated through comparisons with other experimental and numerical results for the velocity profiles around a circular cylinder under the forced in-line oscillation and the pressure coefficient distribution on a sphere. The code is applied to simulate the flow fields around a plate whose tail is periodically flapping under a translation. The effects of the velocity and acceleration due to the deformation on the periodic shedding of pairs of tip vortices are investigated.

  • For the optimal design of plasma facing components of a fusion reactor, thorough understanding of thermal behavior of high heat. nux components are required. The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of heat flow and thermal stress in divertors which are exposed to high heat load varing with time and space-Numerical simulations of heat now and thermal stress for three types of diverter are performed using finite volume method and finite element method. Respectly, commercial FLUENT code are used in the heat flow simulation, and maximum surface temperature, temperature distribution and cooling rate are calculated. Implementation of functional expansion tally method and order selection strategy in Monte Carlo code RMC

  • The spatial distribution of neutron flux or reaction rate was calculated by cell or mesh tally in traditional Monte Carlo simulation. However, either cell or mesh tally leads to the increase of memory consumption and simulation time. In this paper, the function expansion tally (FET) method was developed in Reactor Monte Carlo code RMC to solve this problem. The FET method was applied to the tallies of neutron flux distributions of uranium block and PWR fuel rod models. Legendre polynomials were used in the axial direction, while Zernike polynomials were used in the radial direction. The results of flux, calculation time and memory consumption of different expansion orders were investigated, and compared with the mesh tally. Results showed that the continuous distribution of flux can be obtained by FET method. The flux distributions were consistent with that of mesh tally, while the memory consumption and simulation time can be effectively reduced. Finally, the convergence analysis of coefficients of polynomials were performed, and the selection strategy of FET order was proposed based on the statistics uncertainty of the coefficients. The proposed method can help to determine the order of FET, which was meaningful for the efficiency and accuracy of FET method.

  • In this paper we investigated an applicability of earthquake regulations for seismic-isolated building structures which has been used currently and propose an efficient method for vertical distribution of seismic loads. The distribution of force is revised in UBC-94 as vertical distribution of force of UBC(Uniform Building Code)-91 is not sufficient safety but its distribution is inefficient expensive because of similar expression to fixed-based structures. In order to overcome this difficulties improved vertical distribution to fixed-based structures. In order to overcome this difficulties improved vertical distribution of seismic load is proposed using two degrees-of-freedom isolated structures and mode shape of fixed-based structures. Efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method are verified through analysis of an example structures with moment resisting frame and shear walls so this study approximate to dynamic analysis results in each case.

Decoding of LT-Like Codes in the Absence of Degree-One Code Symbols

  • Luby transform (LT) codes were the first practical rateless erasure codes proposed in the literature. The performances of these codes, which are iteratively decoded using belief propagation algorithms, depend on the degree distribution used to generate the coded symbols. The existence of degree-one coded symbols is essential for the starting and continuation of the decoding process. The absence of a degree-one coded symbol at any instant of an iterative decoding operation results in decoding failure. To alleviate this problem, we proposed a method used in the absence of a degree-one code symbol to overcome a stuck decoding operation and its continuation. The simulation results show that the proposed approach provides a better performance than a conventional LT code and memory-based robust soliton distributed LT code, as well as that of a Gaussian elimination assisted LT code, particularly for short data lengths.

  • 본 논문에서는 extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart를 이용하여 다중 안테나 시스템에서 irregular low-density parity-check (LDPC) code를 설계하는 방법을 기술한다. 다중 안테나 기반의 Irregular LDPC code 설계를 위하여 maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) 방식의 다중 안테나 검출 방식이 사용되었으며 수신기는 다중 안테나 검출기와 LDPC 복호기 사이에서 복호된 soft 정보를 주고 받는 turbo iterative 구조를 가정하였다. 다중 안테나 기반의 irregular LDPC code의 edge degree 분포는 EXIT chart와 linear optimization programming 기법을 사용하여 얻을 수 있으며 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 방법으로 설계된 irregular LDPC code의 성능을 다양한 환경에서 검증하였다.
