노출콘크리트 표면처리를 위한 거푸집 코팅재료 연구 (The mold form coating material research for the exposure concrete surface control)

  • 본 연구는 거푸집에 부착하는 코팅재료에 따른 콘크리트 표면광택도 비교 분석으로서 시멘트모르터로 제작한 시험체의 광택도를 분석하고 유동화제를 혼합한 콘크리트와 혼합하지 않은 콘크리트의 노출콘크리트 표면 광택의 특성을 분석한 것이다. 시멘트모르터를 이용한 코팅재료별 광택도 분석에서 광택도가 가장 높게 나타난 코팅재료는 7번 재료로 액체포장재의 일부이며 2번째는 3번 재료로 투명필름을 이용한 재료이다. 코팅필름의 소재에 따라 광택도가 다르게 나타난 것으로 미루어 소재의 표면입자 상태와 화학적 구성요소의 따라 다른 것으로 판단된다. 콘크리트의 표면상태를 매끄럽게 하기 위해서는 불투수성이며 매우 밀실한 표면을 가진 코팅재료를 사용하는 것이 효과적이다.

주석 및 아연 박막이 코팅된 베어링 표면의 구름 저항 거동에 대한 실험적 고찰 (An Experimental Study on the Rolling Resistance of Bearing Surfaces Coated by Pure Tin and Zinc Films)

  • An experimental study was performed to discover the tribological behaviors of pure tin and zinc coated 52100 bearing steel. Pure tin coatings ranging from 30 nm to 30,000 nm and pure zinc coatings ranging from 500 nm to 52,000 nm were produced by a thermal evaporation coating method. Experiments using a thrust ball bearing-typed rolling test-rig were performed for the investigations of the effect of coating thickness on the tribological rolling behavior. Results showed that the existence of optimum film thickness which revealed minimum rolling resistance was discovered for tin and zinc coating. The compatibility of coating material to iron showed no significant effect on the rolling resistance behavior. The hardness of coating material revealed significant influence to the rolling resistance behavior.

소실모형주조용 도형재 특성에 미치는 충전재의 영향 (Effect of Refractories on Coating Material Properties in Evaporative Pattern Casting Process)

  • Coating materials for Evaporative Pattern Casting (EPC) process have been developed to investigate the effect of refractories on coating material properties. Three types of developed and one foreign coating materials were used. The former designated as A, B, C and the latter named S.K. The refractory of coating material A is spherical shape of zirconia, and the ones of B, C and S.K. is flake shape of mica. Strength, permeability at room and elevated temperature, anti-sand attachability and carbon residuary were evaluated at each coating materials. Permeability measurement device for elevated temperature was also designed. The zirconia type of coating material had excellent permeability, on the other hand the mica type had good strength and anti-sand attachability. It was found that the refractories were not broken during casting, so permeability indicated same trend at both room and elevated temperature. Based on results, coating material contained small size of mica which is designated as B has the best combination for cast iron.

SM45C재의 PVD코팅과 필름에 의한 트라이볼러지 특성 (Variations in Tribological Characteristics of SM45C by PVD Coating and Thin Films)

  • In order to accumulate data to lower the friction coefficient of a press mold, tribological tests were performed before and after coating SM45C with a PVC/PO film and plasma coating (CrN, concept). The ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM)-treated material had a nano-size surface texture, high surface hardness, and large and deep compressive residual stress formation. Even when the load was doubled, the small amount of abrasion, small weight of the abrasion, and width and depth of the abrasion did not increase as much as those of untreated materials. A comparison of the weight change before and after the tribological test with the CrN and the concept coating material and that of the untreated material showed that the wear loss of the concept coating material and P-UNSM treated material (that is, the UNSM treated material treated with the concept coating) showed a tendency to decrease by approximately 55-75%. Concept 100N had a lower friction coefficient of about 0.6, and P-UNSM-30-100N showed almost the same curve as concept 100N and had a low coefficient of friction of about 0.6. The concept multilayer coating had a thickness of $5.32{\mu}m$. In the beginning, the coefficient of friction decreased because of the plasma coating, but it started to increase from about 250-300 s. After about 350 s, the coefficient of friction tended to approach the friction coefficient of the SM45C base metal. The SGV-280F film-attached test specimen was slightly pushed back and forth, but the SM45C base material was not exposed due to abrasion. The friction coefficient was 0.22, which was the lowest, and the tribological property was the best in this study.

마이크로 주파수에서 전파 흡수성 코팅재료의 특성 평가 (Evaluations of Radar Absorbing Coating materials in the Microwave Frequencies)

  • This paper describes both electromagnetic properties and electromagnetic-wave absorbind (EMA) characteristics of the radar absorbing coating materials in the microwave frequencies. The coating materials are prepared by mixing ferrite powder with epoxy resin polymers. The electromagnetic property and the EMA characteristics of the coating materials are measured in the frequency ranges between 0.2 GHz and 15GHz using the S-parameter method. The results show that the typical coating material has ({{{{ {μ }`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 2 and ({{{{ { ε}`_{r } ^{' } }} of about 4. And the coating materials have a little EMA characteristics in the frequency from 4 to 6 GHz and more improved EMA characteristics around 12 GHz And it is desirable for improvement of the EMA characteristics of the coating materials to properly select electromagnetic properties of constitutional materials inthe interesting frequency ranges.

철강재료위 coating된 PTFE 막층의 미끄럼 마찰마모특성 연구 (A Study of Sliding Friction and Wear Properties for PTFE Layer coated on Steel)

  • PTFE is generally utilized as the form of composites with adding various fillers. The purpose of this paper lies on clarifying the friction and wear properties of the PTFE coating layer on steel. Especially, the effects of PTFE powder size for coating and surface roughness of the counter material on the properties are investigated. Sliding friction and wear tests are conducted at several sliding speeds by employing two types of PTFE coating layer using different powder sizes. One type of coating layer is composed of uniform fine powder, whereas the other type is made up of mixture powder of different sizes. As results, it is found that PTFE coating layer are effective to improve the wear resistance and to reduce the friction coefficient. It is clear that PTFE coating layers are abrasively removed by asperities of the counter material during sliding contact. However, PTFE coating layer with uniform fine powder shows somewhat better wear resistance than that with mixture powder of different sizes in low sliding speed region. It can be seen that the wear of the coating layer are drastically reduced because wear fragment from counter material are transferred to the coating layer. On the other hand, friction coefficient is shown not to be directly related with PTFE powder size in coating layer.

온도조건에 따른 표면보호재의 부착강도 특성 및 변형 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the Bonding Strength and Strain of Coating Material according to Temperature Condition)

  • Normally, using coating material could result in different performance according to the various changes of environments or operation conditions. For these reasons, there are decreasing tendency for the durability, beauty and scenery of structures as the separation or exfoliation occurred after operation. Especially we must find out not only bond strength characteristics of coating material under temperature conditions but also bond strength reduction under heating-cooling repeat test because Korea has four distinct seasons. In this paper, the deformation and bond strength characteristics of coating material have been investigated. and we suggest some preliminary data of coating material for its best performance under various temperature condition.

SM490B 용접부의 피로균열 성장 거동에 미치는 초고속 용사코팅 효과 (The Effect of High Velocity Oxygen Fuel Thermal Spray Coating on Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior for Welded SM490B)

  • High velocity oxygen-fuel thermal spray coating of the WC-Co cermet material is a well-established process for modifying the surface properties of the structural components exposed to the corrosive and wear attacks, and also these coating are well-known method to improve the fatigue strength of material. In this study, HVOF coated SM490B are prepared to evaluation of the effect of coating on tension and fatigue crack growth behavior. The pre-crack of the fatigue crack growth test specimens machined at deposited material area, heat affected zone and boundary, respectively. Through these test, the following results are obtained: 1) Tensile strength was about 498 MPa, and fracture occurred on base metal area. 2) The fatigue crack of coated specimens propagated more rapidly than non-coated specimen in all specimens. 3) In the same coating thickness specimens, the specimens with pre-crack at boundary more rapidly propagated than the specimens with pre-crack at HAZ and deposited material area. These results can be used as basic data in a structural integrity evaluation of rolled SM490B weldments considering HVOF coating.

  • Ag coating on the textured YBCO and PTFE coating on the sintering YBCO were prepared. The critical current densities of different YBCO samples with and without coatings were compared. Both of Ag coating and PTFE coating can well protect YBCO from moisture and $CO_2$.

  • Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC)은 미사일, 로켓발사체와 같이 고온에 노출되는 장비를 열로부터 보호하기 위한 코팅이다. 일반적인 Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC)은 모재와 코팅층간의 낮은 접합력과 높은 열충격으로 인한 박리가 많이 나타난다. 그래서 접합력을 높이고, 열충격을 줄이기 위해 모재와 코팅층 사이에 본드코팅층을 만든 Duplex - Thermal Barrier Coating (Duplex-TBC)이 개발되었다. 그러나 Duplex - Thermal Barrier Coating (Duplex-TBC)은 금속재료인 본드코팅층과 세라믹재료인 탑코팅층 사이에서 박리가 많이 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 두 가지 분말을 동시에 코팅하여 본드코팅과 탑코팅의 경계가 없는 Functional Gradient Material - Thermal Barrier Coating (FGM-TBC)의 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 Functional Gradient Material - Thermal Barrier Coating (FGM-TBC)의 열충격 특성에 미치는 진공 플라즈마 용사 조건의 영향을 조사하였다. Functional Gradient Material - Thermal Barrier Coating (FGM-TBC)는 진공 플라즈마 용사장치를 사용하여 Cu-Cr 합금위에 코팅하였다. 거리, Carrier gas flow, 그리고 챔버 내부의 압력을 달리하여 제조하였다. 사용한 분말은 본드코팅용으로 Amdry 962와 내열 세라믹코팅을 위해 204NS를 사용하였고, 각각 분말 공급조건을 조절하여 두 분말의 비율을 달리하였다. 제조한 Functional Gradient Material - Thermal Barrier Coating (FGM-TBC) 코팅은 전기로에서 50분간 가열한 후, 수조에서 10분간 냉각하는 열충격 실험을 통해 열차폐 성능을 평가 하였다. 이러한 과정에서 진공 플라즈마 용사 조건 및 FGM 조성과 비율이 내열충격 특성에 미치는 영향을 미세조직학적 관점에서 고찰하였다.
