시계열 분석을 통한 송도해안의 해안사구 이동경로 분석 (Analyzing Sand Transfer Path by Songdo Beach Using Time Series Analysis)

  • 국토의 형상을 결정하는데 있어 중요한 해안 지역은 그 형태와 특성이 변화하는 모습을 가지고 있다. 대규모매립 공사와 크고 작은 해안 지역 개발 등으로 인하여 적절한 이용계획을 수립하는데 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 그 중에서 해안사구는 관광 및 생태학적 측면에서 아주 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 이에 대한 연구가 아직은 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 연구대상의 지역적 범위를 부산 송도해안으로 결정하였으며, 다년간의 RTK-GPS 측량 자료를 근거로 시계열적 분석을 통하여 해안사구의 이동경로를 분석하고자 한다. 송도해안의 경우, 해안선의 길이는 평균 약 620m, 면적은 약 $31,846m^2$으로 나타났다. 송도 해안은 좌우측에 방파제가 설치되어져 있으며, 이로 인해 모래의 유실을 최소화 할 수 있었으며, 매년 일정양의 양빈으로 인하여 꾸준히 해안 사구가 퇴적되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 7회 측정 결과 해안사구는 좌우측면이 침식되고 중앙부분이 퇴적되어 해안 사구가 전반적으로 앞으로 전진되고 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

우이도 해안사구의 지형특성과 형성과정 (The Processes of Coastal Dunes and its Geomorphological Characteristics, Ui-island, Shinan-gun, Korea)

  • Massive coastal sand dunes are distributed in Ui-island, Shinan-gun. The sand dunes in Ui-island is worth studying, in terms of preserving natural environment without anthropogenic impacts. In this study, we surveyed geomorphological processes of the sand dune based upon measuring of geometric properties, grain size analysis, and OSL(Optically Stimulated Luminescence) age dating. The sediments of the dune consist mainly of well sorted medium sand with about 250$\mu$m. Based on spatial distribution of sand dunes, we found that they are formed by northwest monsoon during winter, and sands are supplied from Seongchon area in northern UI-island. According to OSL age dating, the sand dunes were deposited from $0.07{\pm}0.01ka$ to $0.17{\pm}0.04ka$. This result shows that the transformation of the dune due to the sand movement by wind was active during the last 100-200 years. The aerial photograph indicates that the dimension of the largest sand dune has decreased since 1945. Further research is needed to get more detailed information on geomorphic changes of sand dunes in UI-island.

신두리 해안사구에 자생하는 사구식물 내생진균의 다양성 분석 (Endophytic Fungal Diversity Associated with the Roots of Coastal Sand-dune Plants in the Sindu-ri Coastal Sand Dune, Korea)

  • 98주의 내생진균은 신두리 해안사구에 자생하고 있는 해안사구식물의 뿌리로부터 분리하였다. 8종의 해안사구식물 샘플은 모래지치(Argusia sibirica), 갯메꽃(Calystegia soldanella), 갯그령(Elymus mollis), 반디지치(Lithospermum zollingeri), 갯무(Raphanus sativus), 솔장다리(Salsola collina), 왕잔디(Zoysia macrostachya) 및 갯잔디(Zoysia sinica)이며, 신두리 해안사구로부터 채집되었다. 그리고 분리된 내생진균들은 ITS1, 5.8S와 ITS2를 포함하는 ITS-rDNA 영역에 의해 분석되었다. 해안사구식물로부터 분리된 내생진균에 대하여 다양한 지수를 적용하여 분석하였다. 해안사구식물로부터 분리된 모든 내생진균은 Capnodiales (3.09%), Eurotiales (70.10%), Glomerellales (1.03%), Helotiales (3.09%), Hypocreales (9.28%), Mortierellales (2.06%), Onygenales (1.03%), Ophiostomatales (1.03%), Pleosporales (1.03%), Polyporales (1.03%), Russulales (1.03%), Saccharomycetales (2.06%), Xylariales (1.03%)로 13개 목과 분류체계가 명확하지 않은 Incertae sedis (3.09%)으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 8종의 식물로부터 내생진균을 분석한 결과 Eurotiales 목과 Hypocreales 목의 Penicillium 속(59.18%)과 Fusarium속 (5.10%)이 가장 많이 분포하는 것으로 나타났다. 갯메꽃으로부터 분리된 내생진균이 다른 해안사구식물들로부터 분리된 내생진균의 다양성 보다 높은 것으로 확인되었다.

고창 장호리 해안사구의 수직 발달 과정 연구 (Vertically Development Processes of Jangho-ri Coastal Dune, West Coast of Korea)

  • Samples from two boreholes of coastal dune field at Jangho-ri coast, Gochang was studied. These were analyzed by grain size analysis geochemical analysis, and the application of OSL dating method to understand the development during the Holocene. The boreholes SB8 and SB9 were classified into three different sedimentary layers by their mean grain size and geochemical characteristics. The results revealed that the upper sand layer is equivalent to the present coastal dune layer, which developed since 1,200 years ago; the silt layer in the middle to the dune slack or lagoon sedimentation layer, which developed between 1,200 and 6,000 years ago; and the sand layer at the bottom to the paleo coastal dune that developed between 6,000 and 7,000 years ago. It was proposed that the forming material of current coastal dune was supplied from the sandy flat in coastal area, while the middle silt layer was supplied from the weathered soil of a bed rock by the comparison with material of surrounding area. In the case of coastal dune, concentrated layer of sands were identified which were buried about 300 and 1,200 years ago, which is identified as the little ice age. This study confirmed the development of Jangho-ri coastal dunes after Holocene Climate Optimum period, and it is likely to assist in the understanding of coastal dunes development.

인천광역시 연안 해안사구 보전현황 평가 연구: 중구, 옹진군을 중심으로 (An Assessment of the Conservation Status for Coastal Sand Dunes in Incheon: Focused on the Jung gu, Ongjin gun in Incheon)

  • 본 연구는 인천시 중구, 옹진군 연안에 분포하고 있는 해안사구의 분포 현황 및 특성조사를 바탕으로 보전현황 평가를 실시한 연구이다. 인천시의 경우 서해 연안을 따라 형성된 해안선의 길이가 1,053km에 달하고 있어 여느 지역자치단체 못지않게 해안사구가 많이 분포하고 있을 것으로 여겨짐에도 불구하고, 관할구역 내해안사구의 분포나 특성, 관리 현황에 대한 기초적인 자료가 충분히 구축되어 있지 못한 실정이다. 이러한 점을 감안하여 본 연구는 인천시 일부 연안을 대상으로 해안사구 추가도출 기준 설정을 통해 21개소의 해안사구를 추가 도출하고, 이들 해안사구에 대한 특성분석과 정량적 평가를 통해 인천시 해안사구 보전현황에 대한 기초자료 구축 및 평가방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • We used the Braun-Blanquet method to study coastal dune vegetation of South Korea. Coastal vegetation was monitored in thirty sites from April 2004 to September 2005. Seventeen plant communities were classified into five groups as follows: A. Two associations of herbaceous sand dune plants in Salsoletea komarovii Ohba, Miyawaki et Tx. 1973 (Calystegia soldanella community, Lathyrus japonicus-Calystegia soldanella community), B. Twelve associations of herbaceous perennial sand dune plants in Glehnietea littoralis Ohba, Miyawaki et Tx. 1973 (Carex pumila community, Elymus mollis community, Vitex rotundifolia-Elymus mollis community, Ixeris repens community, Elymus mollis-Ixeris repens community, Lathyrus japonicus community, Messershmidia sibirica community, Glehnia littoralis community, Carex kobomugi community, Calystegia solda-nella-Carex kobomugi community, Ishaemum anthephoroides community, Zoysia macrostachya community), C. One association of shrubby perennial sand dune plant in Viticetea rotundifoliae Ohba, Miyawaki et Tx. 1973 (Vitex rotundifolia community), D. UAV-based Land Cover Mapping Technique for Monitoring Coastal Sand Dunes

  • In recent years, coastal dune erosion has accelerated as various structures have been developed around the coastal dunes. A land cover map should be developed to identify the characteristics of sand dunes and to monitor the condition of sand dunes. The Korean Ministry of Environment's land cover maps suffer from problems, such as limited classes, target areas, and durations. Thus, this study conducted experiments using RGB and multispectral images based on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) over an approximately one-year cycle to create a land cover map of coastal dunes. RF (Random Forest) classifier was used for the analysis in accordance with the experimental region's characteristics. The pixel- and object-based classification results obtained by using RGB and multispectral cameras were evaluated, respectively. The study results showed that object-based classification using multispectral images had the highest accuracy. Our results suggest that constant monitoring of coastal dunes can be performed effectively.

해안사구생태계의 경관생태분석 (Landscape Ecological Analysis of Coastal Sand Dune Ecosystem in Korea)

  • Coastal sand dune area is the important ecosystem as an ecotone which located between coastal area and terrestrial area. Moreover, it is very complicate landscape that have geomorphological interaction between erosion and accumulation of sand. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the sand dune ecosystem in view point of landscape scale including background landscape affecting origin of sand dune. Landscape ecological approach in the complicate ecosystem already started in developed countries, and it is applied to land management and biodiversity conservation strategies even in national scale. In this paper, landscape ecological analysis using landscape pattern analysis was carried out on 7 study areas (Yellow Sea : Hakampo and Doksan, South Sea : Namyeol and Balpo, East Sea : Hosan, Hupo and Goraebul) in Korean coastal sand dune ecosystem. Landscape elements were composed by 9 elements in these study areas. Major background landscape elements was the forest land and agricultural field. Namyeol (S06) has larger patch landscape compare to other areas. In patch shape indices, Hupo (E10) shows more complicate patch shapes. The high landscape heterogeneity showed in the Doksan sand dune area and that of Hosan. It shows that these areas were composed by various patch types. However, using landscape indices have to use very carefully because several variables have influence to the result such as scale and spatial pattern of study areas. Although landscape analysis through landscape indices shows sometimes difficult to explain the ecosystem, landscape scale approach on ecosystem assessment still useful to interpret in ecological process in large range of habitat.

New records of five species of Lepidoptera (Cosmopterigidae, Tortricidae, Pyralidae and Erebidae) from sand-dunes along the western coastline of Korea

  • Three localities of coastal sand-dunes along the western coastline of Korea: Sindu-ri, Sinhap-ri, and Jaeun-do, were surveyed for the lepidopteran fauna. This survey resulted in the records of five species new to Korea: a species of Cosmopterigidae, Cosmopterix flavidella Kuroko, 2011, based on eight specimens from Sinhap-ri and Jaeun-do; a species of Tortricidae, Noduliferola abstrusa Kuznetzov, 1973, based on five specimens from Sinhap-ri and Jaeun-do; a species of Pyralidae, Maliarpha borealis Sasaki, 2012, based on four specimens from Sindu-ri; and two species of Erebidae, Ectoblemma rosella Sugi, 1982 and Metachrostis miasma (Hampson, 1891), based on one specimen for each from Jaeun-do. Three genera, Noduliferola Kuznetzov, 1973, Maliarpha Ragonot, 1888 and Ectoblemma Sugi, 1982, are introduced for the first time to the Korean fauna. Two species, Noduliferola abstrusa and Maliarpha borealis, are suggested as the indicator species for coastal sand-dunes. The superficial and genital features of the five species found from this study are described and illustrated. A photograph of the female genitalia of Ectoblemma rosella is provided for the first time.

한국 서남해안 습지의 식물 군집에 미치는 토양요인 (Soil Factors Affecting the Plant Communities of Wetland on Southwestern coast of Korea)

  • To describe the major environmental factors operating in coastal wetland and to characterize the distribution of the plant species over the wetland in relation to the major environmental gradients, 12 soil physical and chemical properties were determined. The gradient of water and osmotic potential of soil, electrical conductivity, sodium and chloride content and soil texture alsong the three habitat types of salt marshes, salt swamp and sand dune were occurred. The 24 coastal plant communities from principal component analysis (PCA) on the 12 variables were at designated as a gradient for soil texture and water potential related with salinity by Axis I and as a gradient for soil moisture and total nitrogen gradient by Axis II On Axis I were divided into 3 groups (1) 9 salt marsh communities including Salicornia herbacea communities (2) 5 salt swamp communities including Scirpus fluviatilis communities and (3) 10 sand dune communities including Jmperata cylindrica communities on Axis II were divided into 2 groups (1) salt marsh and sand dune communities, and (2) 3 salt swamp communities. The results could account for the zonation of plant communities on coastal wetland observed alsong envionmental gradients.
