The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of ground reaction force(GRF) in golf swing for various slopes of flat lie and uphill lies of 5 and 10 degrees. Five right-handed professional golfers were selected for the experiment and the 7 iron club was used. We used four forceplates to measure GRF and synchronized with the three-dimensional motion analysis system. Results showed that slope did not affect the total time for golf swing, but the time until the impact had a tendency to slightly increase for the uphill lie(p<0.05). The medial-lateral GRF of the right foot increased toward the medial direction during back swing, but less increases were found with the angle of uphill lie(p<0.05). The GRF of the left foot increased rapidly toward the medial direction at the uncocking and the impact during down swing, but decreased with the increase in the angle of uphill lie(p<0.05). The anterior-posterior GRF of both feet showed almost the same for different slopes. With the slopes, the vertical GRF of the right foot increased, but the vertical GRF of left foot decreased(p<0.05). Uphill lies would have negative effect to provide the angular momentum during back swing, restricting pelvic and trunk rotations, and to provide the precise timing and strong power during down swing, limiting movements of body's center of mass. The present study could provide valuable information to quantitatively analyze the dynamics of golf swing. Further study would be required to understand detailed mechanism in golf swing under different conditions.

Distal limb deformities are congenital malformations with phenotypic variability and high genetic heterogeneity. Split hand/foot malformation, also known as ectrodactyly, is a congenital limb malformation characterized by a defect of the central rays of the hands and/or feet. Split hand/foot malformation with long-bone deficiency (SHFLD) is a rare condition related to a 17p13.3 duplication. Recently, genomic duplications encompassing BHLHA9 have been associated with SHFLD. We report a case of SHFLD presenting with campomelia of the right femur, bilateral agenesis of fibulae, bilateral club feet, and oligosyndactyly of the hands and feet, that was associated with a 17p13.3 duplication, as determined prenatally using array comparative genomic hybridization.

A clubfoot is a kind of congenital deformity of foot, which is internally rotated at the ankle. In this paper, we are going to cluster the curves of relative differences between regular and operated feet. Since these curves are irregular and sparsely sampled, general clustering models could not be applied. So the clustering model for sparsely sampled functional data by James and Sugar (2003) are applied and parameters are estimated using EM algorithm. The number of clusters is determined by the distortion function (Sugar and James, 2003) and two clusters of the curves are found.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sling exercise on muscle activity and balance on football players with chronic ankle instability. Eight subjects performed Biodex and sling exercises for four weeks and compared the muscle activity and balance ability of the uninjured and injured feet. Stable and unstable foot % MVIC did not change significantly after treatment in all muscles. The total balance ability was not significantly different between the two groups, however, increased only in the unstable side. The anterior/posterior balance ability also represented no significant difference between the groups and was significantly improved only in the unstable side. The medial/lateral balance ability was not significantly different between the groups and was significantly improved only in the unstable side. This study suggests that sling exercise contributes to improving % MVIC, total balance ability, anterior/posterior balance ability, and medial/lateral balance ability of the unstable side.

Freeman-Sheldon Syndrome (FSS, also known as "Whistling Face Syndrome") is a rare genetic condition which characteristically includes a small "whistling" mouth, a flat mask-like face, club feet, joint contractures usually involving the fingers and hands, and under-development of the cartilage of the nose. Intelligence is usually normal. Most of the features of this syndrome are due to muscle weakness. The patient, 11 years old boy was consulted from pediatrics to pediatric dentistry due to dental management. After clinical & radiographic examinations, severe multiple problems were found. Dental problems were microsomia(whistling mouth) & micrognathia, perioral muscle contracture, restricted mouth opening, poor oral hygiene & care, generalized dental caries, high palatal vault, severe malocclusion & crowding. And Orthopedic problems, ophthalmic & respiratory, anesthetic problems were found. Then He also had psychiatric problem, hospital(dental) phobia due to previous medical history(frequent hospitalization). And he had genital problem, cryptochidism, too. Due to these intricate problems, he suffered with feeding, swallowing difficulties and showed growth retardation. For enhancing patient's oral health, pediatric dentist, orthodontist, oral surgeon, pediatrician, psychiatrist, orthopedist, they all agree with early, cautious intervention and treatment. So, he has been treated by multidisciplinary care, now he is recovering general health maintenance.
This is written to present basic shot information among iron clubs and information of weight shift, because previous study conducted on all clubs was rut enough. This article is about shot analysis of iron club 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and weight movement, conducted on four skilled golf players and four students who major in golf and are less than three years. The analysis of long and short irons showed statistically meaningful different results for all the participants but iron clubs of 3,4,5 didn't in head speed and ball speed. The skilled group showed better results in head speed, ball speed and direction, Launch angle than the unskilled group. In weight shift movement analysis, the unskilled group moved, on back swing top, their more weight(65.36%) but the skilled group was on their left foot (70.21%)when clubs were on impact moment. It shows that the skilled group put on power more efficiently by moving weight.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the body's strategy through kinematic variables of the lower extremities and ground reaction forces to maintain the club-head speed and ball accuracy despite the three stances during the golf swing. Ten male golfers who official handicap two were participate in the experiment. All subjects performed swing after maintaining the address posture according to stance conditions(square; SS, open: OS, closed: CS). Using a 3D motion analysis system and force plateform, the results were calculated with the 7-iron full swing each stance. In result, there was no difference in center of displacement, and left and right hip and knee joint angle displacement. Left ankle joint was largely plantar-flexed in OS, and right ankle joint was largely performed in CS from the address to the downswing. From address to take-back, right foot had a large left direction and the left foot had a right direction were greater in OS than in CS. Therefore, despite various stances, maintaining the same posture at impact is thought to have a positive effect on club head speed and ball direction.
The amniotic band syndrome is an uncommon congenital fetal abnormality, presumably due to fetal entanglement in strands of ruptured amniotic sac. The defects caused by this syndrome vary from simple limb defects to major visceral and craniofacial defects. We cared for a newborn infant with this syndrome, who showed constriction rings of the right leg and right axilla, right club foot, thoracic scoliosis, polydactyly, absence of the right thumb and aplasia cutis of the scalp. We report this case with a brief review of the literature.
The increased embryotoxicity of the antifolate drug pyrimethamine (PYM) with concomitant dietary dosing of folic acid (FA) was examined in mice. The preventive effects of folinic acid (FNA) on PYM embryotoxicity were also examined. Six groups were constructed: PYM I (pyrimethamine 80 ppm), PYM II (pyrimethamine 150 ppm), PYM II+FNA (pyrimethamine 150 ppm and folinic acid 12 mg/kg/day), PYM II+FA (pyrimethamine 150 ppm and folic acid 350 ppm), FA (folic acid 350 ppm) and a control group. The agents were administered for 7 days from day 6 throughout 12 of gestation. PYM and FA were administered with mashed feed and FNA was intraperitoneally injected. The high incidence of fetal realformations was observed in the PYM II group; these included kinky tail, open eyelids, club foot, cleft palate, absence of the pulmonary lobe, diaphragmatic hernia, fused sternebrae, fused cervical or thoracic vertebral arch, among others. All embryos of the PYM II+FA group were resorbed. No realformed fetuses were observed in the PYM II+FNA group. These results show that the concomitant dosing of FA augments PYM embryotoxicity. The preventive effects of FNA were also observed.
In the study the subjects who 10 university golfers act, and the kinetic factors were analyzed by the ground reaction system. the conclusion are as follows. 1) In the golf putting swing, the ground reaction factors of sagital plane in aspect are showen that the left and right foot sufficient difference, in the level of p <.05. 2) In the golf putting swing, the ground reaction factors of frontal plane in aspect is showen that the left foot has no significant difference in AD BS in the level of p < .05. In success, IP, FS. It can show significant difference. In addition, the right foot is shown the success, There is significant difference. 3) In the golf putting swing, the ground reaction factors of the vertical plane in aspect are shown that the left foot has no significant difference in BS, FS in the level p < .05. In success, AD, IP. It can show significant difference. In addition, the right foot is shown the success, There is significant difference. 4) In the golf putting swing, the ground reaction factors of torque in aspect are shown that the left foot had no significant difference in BS in the level p < .05. In success, AD, IP, FS. It can show significant difference. In addition, the right foot has no significant difference in IP in the level p < .05. AD, BS, FS. There is significant difference. The summarized conclusions are as follows. The first that the power of sagital plane needs the motion which can get the good power change in the stabilized pose. The second is that the small motion can make good putting in stabilized pose. The third is that the body weight move to the direction of the ball. The fourth is that the putting which looks perfect oscillation is good motion.
