  • The current cloud system is not compatible as low interoperability between cloud systems because they build up cloud environments with their own way. For example, users who are using Google's cloud system, it will not be able to use the cloud system of MS (Microsoft). To solve these problems, CSB (Cloud Service Broker) technology appeared, but solves interoperability problems between cloud systems require circumstances to develop and still much research. In this study, in the CSB, which has appeared as a service intermediary technology of heterogeneous distributed cloud environment (Cloud Service Broker) technology, to study authentication system, which is a fundamental problem to be solved of the interoperability of the cloud user.

  • It is difficult to provide proper cloud services for cloud users, because the number of cloud services are increasing and the type of cloud services are diversifying. To overcome this problem, the concept of cloud service broker is presented to mediate cloud services between cloud providers and tenant. The most important role of cloud service broker is to finding cloud services that fulfill requirements of tenant. However, current existing cloud service broker conduct passive requirements analysis process with cloud service expert's assistance. In addition, the systematic functional and non-functional requirement analysis is insufficient. Therefore, we need the new methods for requirement analysis to find nearest service that matches with requirement of tenant. In this paper, we apply pairwise comparison from AHP method to analyze requirement automatically and systematically. It calculates score of service by comparing requirement with service specification, calculating importance rate, and so on.

  • One of the major issues in emerging cloud management system needs the efficient service level agreement negotiation framework, with an optimal negotiation strategy. Most researchers focus mainly on the atomic service negotiation model, with the assistance of the Agent Controller in the broker part to reduce the total negotiation time, and communication overhead to some extent. This research focuses mainly on composite service negotiation, to further minimize both the total negotiation time and communication overhead through the pre-request optimization of broker strategy. The main objective of this research work is to introduce an Automated Dynamic Service Level Agreement Negotiation Framework (ADSLANF), which consists of an Intelligent Third-party Broker for composite service negotiation between the consumer and the service provider. A broker consists of an Intelligent Third-party Broker Agent, Agent Controller and Additional Agent Controller for managing and controlling its negotiation strategy. The Intelligent third-party broker agent manages the composite service by assigning its atomic services to multiple Agent Controllers. Using the Additional Agent Controllers, the Agent Controllers manage the concurrent negotiation with multiple service providers. In this process, the total negotiation time value is reduced partially. Further, the negotiation strategy is optimized in two stages, viz., Classified Similarity Matching (CSM) approach, and the Truncated Negotiation Group Gale Shapely Stable Matching (TNGGSSM) approach, to minimize the communication overhead.

  • Currently, cloud systems are not interoperable due to low interoperability between cloud systems as operators build up cloud environments with their own way. For example, users of the Google cloud system can not use the Microsoft (Microsoft) cloud system unless they go through an additional log-in process. In order for Google cloud system's users to use MS cloud system services, they must log in to the MS cloud system again after logging out of Google cloud system. In order to solve these problems, Cloud Service Broker(CSB) technology has emerged to resolve the interoperability problem between cloud systems, but many researches and developments are still needed. In this paper, we design an integrated user authentication system, which is a fundamental problem of cloud user interoperability among CSB (Cloud Service Broker) technologies, which is emerging as a service intervention technology of heterogeneous distributed cloud environment.

  • The emergence of technologies like Big data analytics, Industrial Internet of Things, Internet of Things, and applicability of these technologies in various domains leads to increased demand in the underlying execution environment. The demand may be for compute, storage, and network resources. These demands cannot be effectively catered by the conventional cloud environment, which requires an integrated environment. The task of finding an appropriate service provider is tedious for a service consumer as the number of service providers drastically increases and the services provided are heterogeneous in the specification. A service broker is essential to find the service provider for varying service consumer requests. Also, the service broker should be smart enough to make the service providers best fit for consumer requests, ensuring that both service consumer and provider are mutually beneficial. A service broker in an integrated environment named Global Manager is proposed in the paper, which can find an appropriate service provider for every varying service consumer request. The proposed Global Manager is capable of identification of parameters for service negotiation with the service providers thereby making the providers the best fit to the maximum possible extent for every consumer request. The paper describes the architecture of the proposed Global Manager, workflow through the proposed algorithms followed by the pilot implementation with sample datasets retrieved from literature and synthetic data. The experimental results are presented with a few of the future work to be carried out to make the Manager more sustainable and serviceable.

  • The cloud computing are provided various ways for accessing resources and services through collaboration. In this paper, we present a cloud computing model for collaboration in cloud environment. By introducing a model, it is possible to introduce and develop an application required for the database and business services. SaaS model can be applied overall or partially. In particular, business operations need various software. Since cost reduction and applying immediate service are available, it is possible to realize the business environment and high quality service.

  • As cloud computing has emerged as a hot trend in the IT industry, various types of cloud services have emerged. In addition, cloud service broker (CSB) technology has emerged to alleviate the complexity of the process of selecting the desired service that user wants among the various cloud services. One of the key features of the CSB is to recommend the best cloud services to users. In general, CSB can use a method to evaluate a service by receiving feedback about a service from users in order to recommend a cloud service. However, since each user has different criteria for giving a rating, there is a problem that reliability of service evaluation can be low when the rating is only used. In this paper, a method is proposed to supplement evaluation of rating based service by applying machine learning based sentiment analysis to cloud service user's review. In addition, the CSB prototype is implemented based on proposed method. Further, the results of comparing the performance of various learning algorithms is proposed that can be used for sentiment analysis through experiments using actual cloud service review as learning data. The proposed service evaluation method complements the disadvantages of the existing rating-based service evaluation and can reflect the service quality in terms of user experience.

A Broker for Cloud Resource Management and Its Experimental Performance Analysis

  • When users access to use the computing resources in the cloud, they expect specific quality of service (QoS) which should be guaranteed by the service provider. Meanwhile, the service provider should adopt proper schemes to enhance the resource utilization. In this thesis, we propose the MapChem-Broker which aims to satisfy users' QoS requirements as well as enhance the resource utilization by controlling the provision of VM resources in the cloud. On the experimental cloud testbed, we compare the proposed scheme with an existing one for VM resource provisioning. Results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing one.

  • Depending on the increase amongst various cloud services, the technology of the Cloud Service Broker (CSB) to find the most appropriate services to meet the needs of cloud service consumers has emerged. In order to advance for cloud services to be used through the CSB, it is important to ensure the quality level that meets the demands of consumers through a negotiation process based on the Service Level Agreement (SLA). However, quality metrics of cloud services are different from each other based on the measurement scale, which represents the quality level, and the calculation for each type of cloud services. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the variability of the quality of cloud services and establish a SLA model for ensuring and improving the level of quality. In this paper, we analyze the quality metrics for the specific type of cloud services by applying the cross-cutting concept and propose a Virtual SLA (VSLA) meta-model.
