Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is very helpful field for every manufacturing industry including foundry. It covers CAD, CAM, and simulation technology also, and becomes as common sense in developing new products and processes. In South Korea, more than 600 foundries exist, and their average employee number is less than 40. Moreover, average age of them becomes higher. To break out these situations of foundry, software tools can be effective, and many commercial software tools had already been introduced. But their high costs and risks of investment act as difficulties in introducing the software tools to SMEs (Small and Medium size Enterprise). So we had developed cloud computing platform to propagate the CAE technologies to foundries. It includes HPC (High Performance Computing), platforms and software. So that users can try, enjoy, and utilize CAE software at cyber space without any investment. In addition, we also developed platform APIs (Application Programming Interface) to import not only our own CAE codes but also 3rd-party's packages to our cloud-computing platforms. As a result, CAE developers can upload their products on cloud platforms and distribute them through internet.

Cloud Computing allows application providers seamlessly scaling their services and enables users scaling their usage according to their needs. In this paper, using queuing game model, we present service scheduling schemes which are used in software as a service (SaaS). The object is maximizing the Cloud Computing platform's (CCP's) payoff via controlling the service requests whether to join or balk, and controlling the value of CCP's admission fee. Firstly, we treat the CCP as one virtual machine (VM) and analyze the optimal queue length with a fixed admission fee distribution. If the position number of a new service request is bigger than the optimal queue length, it balks. Otherwise, it joins in. Under this scheme, the CCP's payoff can be maximized. Secondly, we extend this achievement to the multiple VMs situation. A big difference between single VM and multiple VMs is that the latter one needs to decide which VM the service requests turn to for service. We use a corresponding algorithm solve it. Simulation results demonstrate the good performance of our schemes.
Video based Point Cloud Compression (V-PCC) is one of the compression methods for compressing point clouds, and shows high efficiency in dynamic point cloud compression with movement due to the feature of compressing point cloud data using an existing video codec. Accordingly, V-PCC is drawing attention as a core technology for immersive content services such as AR/VR. In order to effectively service these V-PCC contents through a media streaming platform, it is necessary to encapsulate them in the existing media file format, ISO based Media File Format (ISOBMFF). However, in order to service through an adaptive streaming platform such as Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH), it is necessary to encode V-PCC contents of various qualities and store them in the server. Due to the size of the 2D media, it causes a great burden on the encoder and the server compared to the existing 2D media. As a method to solve such a problem, it may be considered to configure a streaming platform based on content obtained through V-PCC content encoding based on SHVC. Therefore, this paper encapsulates the SHVC-based V-PCC bitstream into ISOBMFF suitable for DASH service and proposes a configuration method to service it. In addition, in this paper, we propose ISOBMFF encapsulation and DASH configuration method to effectively service SHVC-based V-PCC contents, and confirm them through verification experiments.

Internet is becoming more common with increasing cloud services have been spreading rapidly. A SLA is agreements between service providers and customers of service providers is how to ensure quality of service. SLA in cloud computing environments from the perspective of the IT service providers to customer satisfaction increase for service quality, it will need to differentiate between competing carriers QoS guarantees with SLA is a very important factor. However, the study of SLA in the cloud is staying in its infancy. In this paper, SLA indices for cloud services defining and use them SLA Management System for QoS guarantee has been implemented. The proposed system using monitoring-based migration policy an open source-based cloud computing platform which Cluster Nodes load distribution of virtual machines assigned to their availability, response time, throughput analysis of what affects and is compared with existing cloud.

With the advent of Big data era unleashed by tremendous increase of structured and unstructured data, a library needs an effective method to store, manage and preserve various information resources. Also, needs of collaboration of libraries are continuously increased in digital environment. As an effective method to handle the changes and challenges in libraries, interest on cloud computing is growing more and more. This study aims to propose a method to introduce cloud computing in libraries. To achieve the goals, this study performed the literature review to analyze problems of existing library systems. Also, this study proposed considerations, expectations, service scenario, phased strategy to introduce cloud computing in libraries. Based on the results extracted from cases that libraries have introduced cloud computing-based systems, this study proposed introduction strategy and specific applying areas in library works as considered features of cloud computing models. The proposed phased strategy and service scenario may reduce time and effort in the process of introduction of cloud computing and maximize the effect of cloud computing.
DevOps is a combining which means giving a diverse environments for software development and operations through whole software lifecycle. The key value of the proposed DevOps platform is the fast and stable service capability for a software development and operation environment. To do this, the DevOps gives pre-embedded 7 programming languages-Java, C/C++, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, goLang and 7 service frameworks - Korea eGov Framework, Spring, Struts, Django, Laravel, Rails, Express. With the DevOps platform, it is possible to develop a software and also to build and distribute operation packages directly with the Linux containers. In this paper, the performance evaluation for a compile time, a distribution time and a processing capability is will be also proved. Though the performance evaluation, this paper shows capabilities of the proposed DevOps for Cloud services with commercial service level, prospectively.
Mobile devices are widely accepted as a convenient machine which provides computing capability as well we cell phone capability. Because of limited resources on mobile devices, complex applications could not be deployed on the devices. Service-based mobile applications (SMAs) can provide a solution to overcome the limitation by subscribing cloud services. Since SMAs have complex structures than standalone applications, it is challenging to develop high quality SMAs, to manage both services and mobile applications, and to implement automated billing for subscribed services. Therefore, there is a great demand for a platform for super mobile computing, which supports all key activities in managing life cycle of SMAs. In this paper, we present technical aspects of a platform which is under development; Super Mobile Autonomous Reliable plaTform (SMART). We believe that it provides a number of practical features which are essential in supporting life-cycle of SMAs; development, deployment, management, and operation.

Recently, the trend of building container-based PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) is expanding. Container-based platform technology has been a core technology for realizing a PaaS. Containers have lower operating overhead than virtual machines, so hundreds or thousands of containers can be run on a single physical machine. However, recording and monitoring the storage logs for a large number of containers running in cloud computing environment occurs significant overhead. This work has identified two problems that occur when detecting a file system change event of a container running in a cloud computing environment. This work also proposes a system for container file system event detection in the environment by solving the problem. In the performance evaluation, this work performed three experiments on the performance of the proposed system. It has been experimentally proved that the proposed monitoring system has only a very small effect on the CPU, memory read and write, and disk read and write speeds of the container.
