The Generation of Local Terrain Model Using Digital Close-Range Photogrammety (근거리 수치사진측랑을 이용한 국부지형모형의 생성)

  • The close-range photogrammetry is a surveying technique the acquiring the 3D object from 2D geometric appearance shown in the image. Camera treatment is relatively so simple. Camera position refer to the object can be freely adjusted by locating the exposure station at any site. So it is used effectively on a small area or object for survey. In this study, using the digital camera which has capacity of keeping numerical value by itself and easy carrying, we analyze the positioning error according to various change of photographing condition. Also we try to find a effective method of acquiring basis data for 3D monitoring of high-accuracy in sub-pixel degree thorough digital close-range photogrammetry with bundle adjustment for local terrain model generation.

  • This study aims to analyze stone's surface roughness measurement accuracy of a high resolution DCS 420 digital camera by digital close-range photogrammetric technique. For this purpose, the surface roughness measurement system was constructed by means of microsoft visual basic 6.0 in windows. As the analysis results of measurement accuracy of digital camera using this system, the roughness error of the normal distance between the best fitting reference surface obtained by least square method and sample points in the ideal plane or surface did not exceed $\pm$0.1 mm

  • This study has made photographing respectively by changing the converging angle by use of d7 $metric^5$ that is a measurement digital camera. And also in order to minimize the errors happened at the relative orientation, we have sorted out the round target that the relative orientation is automatically on the programming and have calculated RMSE by carrying out the bundle adjustment. We think that such a study could be used as very important basic data necessary in deriving the optimal photographic conditions by the close-range digital photogrammetry and in judging such a degree.

  • This study proposed digital close-range photogrammetric technique to measure deformation of I-plate-girder bridge. To compare deformation-measurement using the proposed method, a loading tester is used in the same time. As results, deviations of measuring values between the two methods range from 1mm to 2mm, and we could find-out simultaneously deflection and torsion of I-plate girder by repeated load of train. Then this study verified a measuring feasibility of I-plate-girder deformation by the proposed method. This may be alternative method of precise-stability inspection and manpower inspection.

  • Digital close-range photogrammetric technique can measure and describe 3D geometric form from 2D image. This technique is a growing applicability in the field of sciences. Nevertheless, civil and mechanical field, which need measurements as precise as possible, use expensive measuring instruments in general. In addition there are occasions for analysis by means of visual method, since appropriate measuring instruments have been not yet available. This study therefore developed digital close-range photogrammetric technique with a movable orientation board to quickly measure deformation before and after destruction from simulated ground model of reinforced-soil wall. Then the results are compared with the measurements obtained using digital theodolite.

  • Recent increase in the number of pixels of a non-metric digital camera encourages to use it for close-range photogrammetry such as modeling cultural asset and buildings. However, these cameras have to be calibrated far close-range photogrammetry application. For self-calibration, an appropriate pbotograrnmetric network and object field should be designed. In this paper, we studied the effect on self-calibration accuracy changes according to the change of the number of ground control points, dimensions of the ground control points, and the combination of images. We concluded that self-calibration with three photos including a vertical photo can give the stable accuracy of interior orientation parameters and 10 ground control points on a plane can give high accuracy for object reconstruction.

  • This paper demonstrates the performance of industrial precise measurement using the digital close-range photograrmmetric system based on a off-the-shelf CCTV-type CCD camera. The system was constructed with a CCD camera and a PC with a frame grabber, coupled with digital image mensuration and self-calibrating bundle adjustment techniques. An artificial fish reef with cubic shape was taken as an object for the application test of the system and the digital images were acquired on multi-station convergent network around the object. The geometric calibration of the CCD camera and the phototriangulation of the entire surface of the object was carried out simultaneously by means of self-calibrating bundle adjustment technique. Also the system comprising a high resolution still-video camera Kodak DCS, which high accuracy potential has been already established, were employed in similar network condition. Then the results from two different camera systems were compared in the accuracies of phototriangulation.
