간호대학생의 임상실습 경험에 따른 간호사 이미지 비교 (A Comparison of the Nurses Image according to Clinical Practice Experience of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 임상실습 경험에 따른 간호사 이미지 정도를 비교하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 C시 소재 일 간호대학 학생 400명에게 설문지를 이용하여 2014년 9월 2일부터 9월 9일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 18.0 program을 이용하여 ${\chi}^2$-test로, t-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA로 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호사 이미지 정도는 임상실습 경험군 평균평점 $3.5{\pm}0.5$, 임상실습 미경험군 평균평점 $3.7{\pm}0.5$로 두 군간 유의한 차이를 보였다(F=4750.2, p<.001). 또한 간호사 이미지 하위영역의 전통적 이미지(F=3631.5, p<.001), 사회적 이미지(F=2872.5, p<.001), 전문적 이미지(F=4022.9, p<.001), 개인적 이미지(F=1812.9, p<.001) 모두 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러므로 간호대학생의 임상실습 후 간호사 이미지를 높이기 위하여 임상현장과 간호대학 뿐 만 아니라 간호사의 독자적 업무 확대를 위한 정책적 지원을 위하여 지속적인 노력이 필요할 것이다.

간호학생이 지각한 첫 임상실습 전·후의 간호사 이미지 (Image of Nurse Perceived by Nursing Student Before and After Their First Clinical Practice)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify changes in image of nurses of nursing students before and after their first clinical practice. Methods: The survey was performed to 60 nursing students in one university in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do. All participants had their first clinical practice for 8 weeks at four general hospitals in Seoul. The data were collected by questionnaires and were analyzed with frequency, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA using SPSS 19.0. Results: After the first clinical practice, the mean score ($4.05{\pm}0.85$) of the image of nurse was slightly higher than that of the image ($4.03{\pm}0.93$) before the clinical practice. However, there was no statistical significance in the scores between before and after the clinical practice (t=-0.55, p=.589). In four subcategories, before the first clinical practice, professional image was the highest followed by traditional, personal, and social image in order but after the clinical practice, professional image was the highest followed by traditional, social, and personal image in the mean scores of the image of nurse. Conclusion: The findings of the study may be a basis for expanding nursing practice and education related to image of nurse.

간호대학생의 임상실습만족도와 간호사 이미지가 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Satisfaction with Clinical practice and Image of nurses on Nursing professionalism of Nursing students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 임상실습만족도, 간호사 이미지와 간호전문직관의 관계를 파악하고, 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 대상자는 B광역시 소재 4개 대학의 임상실습경험이 있는 간호대학생 184명이며, 자료수집기간은 2014년 11월 15일부터 2014년 12월 15일까지였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 18.0 program을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Scheff's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients와 multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대상자의 임상실습만족 정도는 평균이 108.10점, 평균평점은 3.48점, 간호사이미지 정도는 평균이 108.40, 평균평점은 4.01이었고, 간호전문직관 정도는 평균이 72.00점, 평균평점은 4.0점 이었다. 대상자의 간호전문직관 정도는 성별, 종교유무, 연령, 성적에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 간호전문직관은 임상실습만족도와 약한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 통계적으로 유의하였다. 간호전문직관은 간호사 이미지와는 강한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 통계적으로 유의하였다. 간호전문직관을 설명하는 유의한 변수는 임상실습 만족도의 하위요인 중 실습내용만족도, 간호사 이미지, 임상실습만족도의 하위요인 중 실습교과만족도, 실습환경만족도, 성적 순 이었으며, 전체 설명력은 75.8%이었다. 따라서 간호대학생의 간호전문직관을 높이기 위해서는 임상실습만족도와 간호사이미지를 높이는 교육프로그램과 제도적인 접근전략의 개발과 학생들의 체계적인 성적관리 방안의 마련이 필요하다.

간호대학생이 지각한 간호사 이미지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nurse's Image Perceived by Nursing College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify how nurse's image was perceived by nursing college students. The subjects included were 315 students experienced clinical practice during $20{\sim}22$ weeks and 134 students not with a total of 449 nursing students in Gwangju and Chonnam. The data were collected from November 21 to December 5, 2001 by the structured questionnaires. The research tool was measured by 30 items divided into four dimensions; traditional, professional, social and personal image of nurse. Cronbach $\alpha$ for the tool of nurse's image was 0.8960. The data were analysed by SPSS 8.0 for Windows program using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and scheffe. The results of this study were as follows; 1. In the nurse's image related to general characteristics, there were significant differences for school graduation, applicative motivation, interpersonal relationship and image forming factor. 2. In the Image forming factors, nursing college students perceived the nurse's image by visiting hospital or admission(37.9%), watching TV(25.8) and others; nurses' appearance during clinical experience(16.3). 3. The mean score for nurse's image of clinical experience group (2.76$\pm$0.28) was lower than that of non-clinical experience group(2.89$\pm$0.31) in significance (t=4.319, p=0.000). 4. In the nurse's image according to clinical experience, there were significant differences for traditional, professional, social, personal image between two groups and the lower mean scores were found in the clinical experience group in all dimensions. The ranks of dimensions were professional image(3.08), traditional image(2.76), social image(2.65), the personal image(2.59) in clinical experience group, whereas professional image(3.21), traditional image(2.93), social image(2.75), personal image(2.71) for non-clinical experience group.5. The high score items of nurse's image were 'worthwhile work(3.48)', 'always working hard(3.30)', 'profession(3.17)', 'strong responsibility toward work(3.08)', 'have a high technical skill(3.05)' in clinical experience group and 'worthwhile work(3.69)', 'always working hard(3.28)', 'clean and decent(3.22)', 'profession(3.21)', 'have a bountiful professional knowledge(3.18)' in non-clinical experience group. 6. The highest mean score for nurse's image related to the image forming factors was 86.8 by novels or literature and the second highest was 84.3 by visiting hospital or admission. And others(mean=82.1)was the most negative nurse's image by clinical experience. In conclusion, nurse's image perceived by nursing college students will be the mirror of themselves. And clinical experience will be the important opportunity to form the professional image with white uniformed nurses in future. Therefore it is important for clinical nurses to play professional roles rightly so that nursing students could form positive nurse's image.

간호대학생의 간호사 이미지, 임상수행능력, 전공만족도가 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Image of Nurse, Clinical Performance, and Major Satisfaction of Nursing Students on Nursing Professionalism)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 간호사 이미지, 임상수행능력, 전공만족도가 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 2018년 10월 15일부터 19일까지 G시의 간호대학 2, 3학년을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 자료분석은 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 다중회귀 분석방법을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 간호전문직관은 간호사 이미지(r=.70, p<.001), 임상수행능력(r=.23, p<.001), 전공만족도(r=.62, p<.001)와 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 임상수행능력은 간호사 이미지와 양의 상관관계가(r=.14, p=.015) 전공만족도는 간호사 이미지(r=.55, p<.001), 임상수행능력(r=.14, p=.012)과 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 간호전문직관에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 전공만족도(β=.32, p<.001), 사회적 이미지(β=.31, p<.001), 전문적 이미지(β=.21, p<.001), 임상수행능력(β=.09, p=.018) 순이었으며 설명력은 59.9%이었다. 따라서 간호대학생의 긍정적 간호전문직관 확립을 위해서는 간호사 이미지, 전공만족도 및 임상수행능력 향상을 위한 다양하고 체계적인 교육프로그램 개발이 필요하리라 생각된다.

Machine Learning-Based Prediction of COVID-19 Severity and Progression to Critical Illness Using CT Imaging and Clinical Data

  • Objective: To develop a machine learning (ML) pipeline based on radiomics to predict Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) severity and the future deterioration to critical illness using CT and clinical variables. Materials and Methods: Clinical data were collected from 981 patients from a multi-institutional international cohort with real-time polymerase chain reaction-confirmed COVID-19. Radiomics features were extracted from chest CT of the patients. The data of the cohort were randomly divided into training, validation, and test sets using a 7:1:2 ratio. A ML pipeline consisting of a model to predict severity and time-to-event model to predict progression to critical illness were trained on radiomics features and clinical variables. The receiver operating characteristic area under the curve (ROC-AUC), concordance index (C-index), and time-dependent ROC-AUC were calculated to determine model performance, which was compared with consensus CT severity scores obtained by visual interpretation by radiologists. Results: Among 981 patients with confirmed COVID-19, 274 patients developed critical illness. Radiomics features and clinical variables resulted in the best performance for the prediction of disease severity with a highest test ROC-AUC of 0.76 compared with 0.70 (0.76 vs. 0.70, p = 0.023) for visual CT severity score and clinical variables. The progression prediction model achieved a test C-index of 0.868 when it was based on the combination of CT radiomics and clinical variables compared with 0.767 when based on CT radiomics features alone (p < 0.001), 0.847 when based on clinical variables alone (p = 0.110), and 0.860 when based on the combination of visual CT severity scores and clinical variables (p = 0.549). Furthermore, the model based on the combination of CT radiomics and clinical variables achieved time-dependent ROC-AUCs of 0.897, 0.933, and 0.927 for the prediction of progression risks at 3, 5 and 7 days, respectively. Conclusion: CT radiomics features combined with clinical variables were predictive of COVID-19 severity and progression to critical illness with fairly high accuracy.

상강화기의 임상평가 (Clinical Evaluation for System Performance of Image Intensifiers)

  • 상강화기는 형광 영상장치에서 영상의 특성을 결정하는 주된 요소이다. 본 연구는 두가지의 상강화기를 임상에서 평가하기 위하여 간단하고 비파괴적이며 적당한 시간내에 행할 수 있는 계의 활동 프로그램을 제시하였다. 이 프로그램은 크게 세 부분 즉, X-선 발생장치, 영상의 질, 조준으로 되어있다. X-선의 발생장치에 대하여 관전압의 정확도와 자동노출 조절기능을 비교하였다. 영상의 질을 위해서는 저대비 및 고대비 분해능 측정, 체격자 실험 등을 수행하였으며 이 실험에서는 비디오 모니터 및 순간영상을 필름화한 정량적인 분석을 분석하였다. 조준에 대해서는 상강화기의 유용한 영역의 직경과 상의 찌그러짐을 측정하고 정량적인 분석을 하였다. 이 실험들의 과정 및 결과들이 상강화기의 인수검사 및 계의 활동지수를 평가하는데 이용되기를 바란다.

Methods and standards of each of the test are presented, which efforts guarantee a proper quality of image, improve standard of dental care and decrease radiation exposure.

여대생이 지각한 신체상과 자존감, 가족건강성 관계연구 (A Study on Body Image, Self-esteem, and Family Strengths of Female University Students)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between body image, self-esteem, and family strengths in female university students. Methods. One hundred ninety nine female university students participated in data collection. Data on body image, self-esteem, and family strengths were collected via questionnaire between April 2013 and May 2013. Data analysis was done using PASW 18.0 program and included one-way ANOVA, independent t-test and Pearson correlation coefficients analysis. Results. The mean score of body image was 24.20, self-esteem was 25.30, and family strengths was 83.71. Results showed a positive correlation among body image and self-esteem(r=.19, p<.001), and family strengths(r=.16, p<.001). Conclusion. The results indicate that it is necessary to increase body image, self-esteem, and family strengths among female university students. To ensure resonable body image in female university students, self-esteem, and family strengths should be reinforced.

간호학입문과 생명윤리 교과목이 간호대학 신입생의 간호이미지와 간호전문직관에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Introduction of nursing and Bioethics subject on Nurse Image and Nursing Professionalism of Freshmen Nursing Students)

  • Purpose. This study was performed to evaluate the effects of a introduction of nursing and bioethics subject on nurse image and nursing professionalism of freshmen nursing students. Methods. Participants were 104 freshmen nursing students. The period of data collection was from March 3 to June 17, 2016. The research was done in a one group pretet-posttest for a quasi-experimental study. The data ware analyzed by frequencies and paired t-test using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results. The results are as followed : There were statistically significant differences among pre and post in the nurse image(t=-6.15, p<.001) and nursing professionalism(t=53.92, p<.001). Conclusions. We strongly recommend using introduction of nursing and bioethics subject to nurse image and nursing professionalism of freshmen nursing students. And, in future study, it is necessary to develop the curriculum and teaching strategies for improving nurse image and nursing professionalism.
