The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the stress of the elderly women by various tools and to provide basic data for adaptation to the aging women. For this purpose, stress was measured by stress measuring equipment (HRV) and stress measurement questionnaire (SRI) in 31 elderly women over 60 years old. In summary, the results of this study suggest that the worse the subjective health, and when there is a spouse, it predicts a stress. In order to reduce the stress of elderly women based on these results, physical health management and environmental factors that can enhance the intimacy between husband and wife are also necessary.
Purpose: This study aimedto develop a structural equation model on the relationship among ego-resilience, and teaching effectiveness on clinical education, stress coping style, perceived family support, and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students in order to increase the satisfaction of clinical practice. Methods: The subjects were 399 undergraduate nursing students enrolled in 7 universities and participating in 10 clinical practice setting areas in 5 cities in South Korea. The research was conducted from December 5th, 2009 to February 20th, 2010. The structural equation model was used to perform the analysis with the statistics program of SPSS win 17.0 and AMOS 5.0. Results: Teaching effectiveness and family support showed a direct effect on satisfaction of clinical practice, while ego-resilience and stress coping styles showed an indirect effect. The biggest total effect on satisfaction of clinical practice was teaching effectiveness followed by family support, ego-resilience, and stress coping styles respectively, which accounted for 50.9%. Conclusion: Based on outcomes of this study, the proposed model allows better understanding of the satisfaction of clinical practice. This result implies that strategies or intervention programs enhancing extrinsic protection factors, motivation factors, and intrinsic protection factors should be considered. In addition, a structural support system for increasing the satisfaction level of clinical practice in nursing students should also be considered.
Purpose: This study was conducted to test a path model for the factors related to undergraduate nursing students' clinical practicum stress, based on Lazarus and Folkman's stress-coping model. Methods: This study utilized a path analysis design. A total of 235 undergraduate nursing students participated in this study. The variables in the hypothetical path model consisted of clinical practicum, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, Nun-chi, and nursing professionalism. We tested the fit of the hypothetical path model using SPSS/WIN 23.0 and AMOS 22.0. Results: The final model fit demonstrated a satisfactory statistical acceptance level: goodness-of-fit-index=.98, adjusted goodness-of-fit-index=.91, comparative fit index=.98, normed fit index=.95, Tucker-Lewis index=.92, and root mean square error of approximation=.06. Self-efficacy (${\beta}=-.22$, p=.003) and Nun-chi behavior (${\beta}=-.17$, p=.024) were reported as significant factors affecting clinical practicum stress, explaining 10.2% of the variance. Nursing professionalism (${\beta}=.20$, p=.006) and self-efficacy (${\beta}=.45$, p<.001) had direct effects on emotional intelligence, explaining 45.9% of the variance. Self-efficacy had indirect effects on Nun-chi understanding (${\beta}=.20$, p<.001) and Nun-chi behavior (${\beta}=.09$, p=.005) through emotional intelligence. Nursing professionalism had indirect effects on Nun-chi understanding (${\beta}=.09$, p=.005) and Nun-chi behavior (${\beta}=.09$, p=.005) through emotional intelligence. The variables for self-efficacy and nursing professionalism explained 29.1% of the Nun-chi understanding and 18.2% of the Nun-chi behavior, respectively. Conclusion: In undergraduate nursing education, it is important to identify and manage factors that affect clinical practicum stress. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of Nun-chi, self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and nursing professionalism in the development of an educational strategy for undergraduate nursing students.
Purpose: This study was a descriptive correlation research to identify the relationships between stress, grit, and nursing professionalism of nursing college students. This correlation study provides fundamental resources for enhancing nursing professionalism. Methods: Data were collected from December 1 to 31, 2019 with 287 students who agreed to participate in the study after completing at least one semester of clinical practice at three universities. SPSS 26.0 was employed to analyze the data using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: The average scores of college-based stress, clinical-based stress, grit, and nursing professionalism were 1.66±0.71 out of 4, 1.51±0.72 out of 4, 3.11±0.60 out of 5, and 3.69±0.47 out of 5, respectively. Stress had a significant negative correlation with grit. Grit had a significant positive correlation with nursing professionalism. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant correlation between stress and nursing professionalism. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to improve nursing students' grit level to develop effective stress management programs, in order to enhance their positive nursing professionalism.
수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 Independent t-test, One way ANOVA와 Pearson's correlation coefficient, 다중회귀분석 및 SPSS Process Macro를 실시하였다.

This study is aimed at determining stress and the degree of stress coping among nurse as well as such general characteristics as daily life styles, duty, and socio-demographic characteristics of that group. 525 nurses, from four university hospitals in Daejeon city underwent a self-administered questionnaire during the 3-week period from July. 21 to August. 9, 2003. The questions focused on general characteristics including: socio-demographic and duty characteristics, daily life styles, and stress and methods of coping with stress. Based on the distribution of degree of stresses, 66.1% of the study subjects were at the potential risk of stress, with the high risk group constituting 30.3% and the normal group 3.6%. The stress and the degree of stress coping were shown to be affected by socio-demographic and job-related characteristics as well as daily life styles. The group at higher risk of stress was shown to have a lower degree of coping with stress, implying that a lower degree of coping with stress would in turn heighten the occurrence of stress. Therefore, it is required to develop an effective strategy that includes stress-reduction programs available in the field and prompting further build-up of comprehensive stress-management programs.
