5th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Weather (AR5) predicts that recent severe hydrological events will affect the quality of water and increase water pollution. To analyze changes in water quality due to future climate change, input data (precipitation, average temperature, relative humidity, average wind speed, and solar radiation) were compiled into a representative concentration curve (RC), defined using 8.5. AR5 and future use are calculated based on land use. Semi-distributed emission model Calculate emissions for each target period. Meteorological factors affecting water quality (precipitation, temperature, and flow) were input into a multiple linear regression (MLR) model and an artificial neural network (ANN) to analyze the data. Extensive experimental studies of flow properties have been carried out. In addition, an Acoustic Doppler Velocity (ADV) device was used to monitor the flow of a large open channel connection in a wastewater treatment plant in Ho Chi Minh City. Observations were made along different streams at different locations and at different depths. Analysis of measurement data shows average speed profile, aspect ratio, vertical position Measure, and ratio the vertical to bottom distance for maximum speed and water depth. This result indicates that the transport effect of the compound was considered when preparing the hazard analysis.

The Typical Meteorological Year (TMY) dataset compiles 12 months of data that best represent long-term climate patterns, focusing on global horizontal irradiance and other weather-related variables. However, the irradiance measured on the plane of the array (POA) shows certain distinct distribution characteristics compared with the irradiance in the TMY dataset, and this may introduce some biases. Our research recalculated POA irradiance using both the Isotropic and DIRINT models, generating an updated dataset that was tailored to POA characteristics. Our analysis showed a 28% change in the selection of typical meteorological months, an 8% increase in average irradiance, and a 40% reduction in the range of irradiance values, thus indicating a significant shift in irradiance distribution patterns. This research aims to inform stakeholders about accurate use of TMY datasets in potential decision-making. These findings underscore the necessity of creating a typical dataset by using the time series of POA irradiance, which represents the orientation in which PV panels will be deployed.

Hydrological data is very important in understanding the hydrological process and identifying its characteristics to protect human life and property from natural disasters. In particular, hydrological analysis are often performed assuming that hydrological data are stationary. However, recently climate change has raised the issue of climate stationary, and it is necessary to analyze the nonstationary of the climate. In this study, a method to analyze the stationarity of hydrological data was examined using the annual precipitation of 37 meteorological stations with long - term record data. Therefore, in this study, the stationary was determined by analyzing the persistence, trend, and stability using annual precipitation. Overall results showed that a trend was observed in 4 out of 37 stations, stable was investigated at 15 stations, and persistence was shown at 4 stations. In the stationary analysis using the annual precipitation data, 25 stations (67% of 37 stations) were nonstationary.

Research articles in food related to climate change were analyzed by implementing a text-mining algorithm, which is one of nonstructural data analysis tools in big data analysis with a focus on frequencies of terms appearing in the abstracts. As a first step, a term-document matrix was established, followed by implementing a hierarchical clustering algorithm based on dissimilarities among the selected terms and expertise in the field to classify the documents under consideration into a few labeled groups. Through this research, we were able to find out important topics appearing in the field of food related to climate change and their trends over past years. It is expected that the results of the article can be utilized for future research to make systematic responses and adaptation to climate change.

With the recent global urban issues such as climate change, urbanization, and energy problems, the smart city was proposed as one of the solutions in urban planning. This study introduces the smart city initiatives of South Korea by examining the recent history of smart city policies and their limitations. This case study reflects the experience of one of the countries which thrived to building smart cities as their national key industries to drive economic growth. It also analyzes the trends of the smart city using big data analysis techniques. Although there are obstacles such as economic recession, failing to differentiate from the U-city, low service level than expected smart functionality, We could recognize the current status of the smart city policies in South Korea such as 1) Korean smart city development projects are actively implemented, 2) public consensus suggests that applying advanced technology and the active role of government need, 3) a comprehensive and strategic approach with the integration and application of advanced technologies is required as well, 4) investment by both private and public sectors need to deliver social improvements. This study suggests future direction of smart city polity in South Korea in the conclusion.
The Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded that many collective observations gave a aspect of a global warming and other changes in the climate system. Future earth observation using satellite data should monitor global climate change, and should contribute to social benefits. Especially, human activities has given the big impacts to earth environment This is a very complex affair, and nature itself also impacts the clouds, namely the seasonal variations. JAXA (former NASDA) has the plan of the Global Change Observation Mission (GCOM) for monitoring of global environmental change. SGLI (Second Generation GLI) onboard GCOM-C (Climate) satellite, which is one of this mission, is an optical sensor from Near-UV to TIR. This sensor is the GLI follow-on sensor, which has the various new characteristics. Polarized/multi-directional channels and 250m resolution channels are the unique characteristics on this sensor. This sensor can be contributed to clarification of coastal change in sea surface. This paper shows the introduction of the unique aspects and characteristics of the next generation satellite sensor, SGLIIGCOM-C, and shows the preliminary research for this sensor.

One of the big problems facing municipalities is the management and control of urban flooding where urban drainage systems are under growing pressure due to increases in urbanization, population and changes in the climate. Urban flooding causes environmental and infrastructure damage, especially to roads, this damage increasing maintenance costs. The aim of the present study is to develop a decision support tool to identify the performance of storm networks to address future risks associated with climate change in the Middle East region and specifically, illegal sewer connections in the storm networks of Karbala city, Iraq. The storm water management model has been used to simulate Karbala's storm drainage network using continuous hourly rainfall intensity data from 2008 to 2016. The results indicate that the system is sufficient as designed before consideration of extra sewage due to an illegal sewer connection. Due to climate changes in recent years, rainfall intensity has increased reaching 33.54 mm/h, this change led to flooding in 47% of manholes. Illegal sewage will increase flooding in the storm system at this rainfall intensity from between 39% to 52%.
This study focuses on safety behavior among research workers and investigates the factors influencing their safety behavior. The selected variables for examining their impact on researchers' safety behavior are safety leadership, safety climate, and safety motivation. Surveys were conducted to analyze the structural equation modeling among these variables. The results indicate that the safety leadership of research supervisors positively influences the creation of a safety climate in research laboratories. Additionally, the safety climate positively impacts research workers' safety motivation and behavior. Therefore, to enhance the safety behavior of research workers, it is necessary to strengthen safety leadership education to improve the safety leadership of laboratory supervisors. The laboratory can enhance its safety climate by implementing management policies and safety regulations, fostering communication among members, and providing safety education.

The agriculture sector plays a vital role in the economy of Pakistan by contributing about 20% of the GDP and 42% of the labor force. Rivers from the top of Himalayas are the major water resources for this agriculture sector. Recent reports have found that Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable country to climate change that can cause water scarcity which is a big challenge to the communities. Previous studies have investigated the impact of climate change on the trend of streamflow, but the understanding of seasonal change in the regional hydrologic regimes remained limited. Therefore, a better understanding of the seasonal hydrologic change will help cope with the future water scarcity issue. In this study, we used the daily stream flow data for four major river basins of Pakistan (Chenab, Indus, Jhelum and Kabul) over 1962 - 2019. Utilizing these daily river discharge data, we calculated the winter-spring center time and the summer-autumn center times. In this study Winter-spring center time (WSCT) is defined as the day of the calendar year during which half of the total six months (Jan-Jun) discharge volume was exceeded. Results show that the four river basins experienced a statistically significant decreasing trend of WSCT, that is the center time keeps coming earlier compared to the past. We further used the Climate Research Unit (CRU) climate data comprising of the average temperature and precipitation for the four basins and found that the increasing average temperature value causes the early melting of the snow covers and glaciers that resulted in the decreasing of 1st center time value by 4 to 8 days. The findings of this study informs an alarming situation for the agriculture sector specifically.
Climate change has a broad impact on the entire water environment, and this impact is growing. Climate adaptation in water supply systems often involves quantity and quality control, but there has been a lack of research examining the impacts of climatic factors on water supply productivity and operation conditions. Therefore, the present study focused on, first, building a database of climatic factors and water purification operating conditions, and then identifying the correlations between factors to reveal their impacts. News big data was analyzed with keywords of climatic factors and water supply systems in either nationwide or region-wide analyses. Metropolitan area exhibited more issues with cold waves whereas there were more issues with drought in the Southern Chungcheong area. A survey was conducted to seek experts' opinions on the climatic impacts leading to these effects. Pre-chlorination due to drought, high-turbidity of intake water due to rainfall, an increase of toxins in intake water due to heat waves, and low water temperature due to cold waves were expected. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted based on meteorological data and the operating data of a water purification plant. Heavy rain resulted in 13 days of high turbidity, and the subsequent low turbidity conditions required 3 days of high coagulant dosage. This insight is expected to help inform the design of operation manuals for waterworks in response to climate change.
