유압펌프용 실린더 블록의 윤활 및 동특성 해석 (Analysis of Lubrication and Dynamic Characteristics of a Cylinder Block for Hydraulic Pump)

  • Lubrication characteristics between a cylinder block and a valve plate for high speed bent-axis type hydraulic pump play an important role in volumetric efficiency and durability of pump. In this paper, a finite element method is presented for the computation of the pressure distribution between a cylinder block and a valve plate for high speed bent-axis type hydraulic pump. Also, a Runge-Kutta method is applied to simulate the cylinder block dynamics of three-degrees of freedom motion. From the results of computation, we can draw two major conclusions. One is related to the fluid film characteristics between a cylinder block and a valve plate and the other is related to the average leakage that is determined by the pressure gradient and the clearance near the discharge port. The numerical results of cylinder block dynamics were compared with the experimental results using eddy-current type gap sensors those are fixed at a pump housing.

충돌제트 천이영역에서 로드에 의한 열전달특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics by Rods in Transition Region of Impinging Air Jet)

  • 본 논문은 2차원 충돌제트 시스템에서 충돌판이 천이영역에 위치할때, 열전달성능이 감소하는 벽면분류영역의 열전달증진을 목적으로 난류촉진체인 정 4각 로드를 평판전열면 앞에 설치하고 로드와 로드사이의 피치(P)를 40 mm로 고정한 후 로드의 폭(W) 변화(4, 6, 8 mm) 및 로드와 전열면사이의 간극(C) 변화(1, 2, 4, 6 mm)에 따른 유동특성과 열전달특성에 대해 실험을 수행하고, 그 결과를 수치해석과 비교 검토하였다. 또한 로드가 설치되지 않은 경우와 정량적으로 비교하여 충돌제트 시스템에서 난류촉진체를 이용한 열전달증진에 관한 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

Effects of Long-term Heat Exposure on Adaptive Mechanism of Blood Acid-base in Buffalo Calves

  • In order to investigate the mechanism of adaptation to long-term heat stress, six female buffalo calves of about 7 to 8 months age, were exposed to the cool-comfort environment (THI 65) for 21 days to obtain normal values of blood acid-base. An adaptive response of acid-base regulation was determined to long term (21 days) exposure of buffalo calves to hot-dry (THI 80) and hot-humid (THI 84) conditions. Higher rectal temperature and respiratory rate was recorded under hot-humid exposure compared to hot-dry. Significant reduction in the rectal temperature and respiratory rate on day 21 of hot-dry exposure indicated early thermal adaptation compared to hot-humid. Decreasing rectal temperature and respiratory rate from day 1 to 21 was associated with concurrent decrease in blood pH and pCO2. Increased plasma chloride concentration with low base excess in blood and in extracellular fluid suggested compensatory response to respiratory alkalosis. Reduced fractional excretion of sodium with increased fractional excretion of potassium and urine flow rate indicated renal adaptive response to heat stress.

추진제 믹서 국산화 개발 (Localized Development of Propellant Mixer)

  • 고체 로켓 모타의 충전을 위한 추진제 믹서는 가장 중요한 장비 중 하나다. 추진제 믹서는 수출통제 품목으로 해외로부터 직접 구입하기 어렵다. 이에 당사에서는 해외 수출 통제(Export Licence) 품목으로 수입이 불가능한 어려운 상황에 대처하기 위해 국산화 개발을 진행하였다. 본 논문을 통해 일반적인 추진제용 믹서의 소개와 당사의 믹서 국산화 개발과정을 나타내었다. 또한, 블레이드-블레이드, 블레이드-보울 벽사이의 간극 측정 및 ADINA 해석을 통해 국산화 개발된 추진제 믹서의 설계를 검증하였으며 개발과제에 적용함을 기술하였다.

5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)이 개의 신장기능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of 5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) on Renal Function in Dog)

  • 5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-HT, serotonin), when given into the vein, produced antidiuretic action accompanied with reduction of glomerular filtration(GFR), renal plasma flow(RPF), osmolar clearance(Cosm) and amounts of sodium or potassium excreted in urine( $E_{Na}$ , $E_{K}$), with the augmented reabsorption rates of sodium and potassium in renal tubules. 5-HT, when infused into a renal artery, exhibited diuretic action accompanied with the augmented RPF and increased $E_{Na}$ and $E_{K}$ in only infused kidney. Antidiuretic action of 5-HT infused into the vein was not influenced by ketanserin, 5-H $T_2$receptor blockade, given into a renal artery, vein or carotid artery, by methysergide, 5-H $T_1$receptor blockade, given into a renal artery, whereas above antidiuretic action was inhibited by methysergide given into vein or carotid artery. Diuretic action of 5-HT infused into a renal artery in only experimental kidney was blocked by ketanserin injected into a renal artery, was not influenced by methysergide administered into a renal artery. Above results suggest that 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) produced the antidiuretic action through central 5-H $T_1$receptor and the diuretic action through 5-H $T_2$receptor located in renal tubules of kidney.ney.

  • 유압 펌프 또는 모터, 특히 레이디얼피스톤형 모터, 용 분배기는 동적인 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 양면이 완전히 똑같이 가공된 회전부재와 이 부재의 양면에 동적평형을 보조할 수 있도록 표면에 가공된 형상이 동일한 2개의 고정부재와 이 2개의 고정부재의 간격유지를 위하여 회전부재주위에 사각의 단면적을 갖는 원형링으로 이루어져 있다. 회전부재는 기본적으로 밸브부를 가지고 있으며 평형상태를 보조하기위해 밸브부의 외주에 정압베어링을 설치할 수도 있다. 2개의 고정 부재중 1개는 몇 개의 단이 있는 부재인데 이는 압력상승에 의한 볼트의 인장을 보상하기 위해 밸브케이싱과 축방향의 이동이 가능하도록 하기 위한 방법이다.

${\alpha}_2-Adrenergic$ Receptor 차단제인 Idazoxan의 신장작용 (Renal Action of Idazoxan, ${\alpha}_2-Adrenergic$ Antagonist, in Dog)

  • This study was performed far investigation of influence on renal function of idazoxan, $\alpha_{2}$-adrenergic antagonist, using the dog. Idazoxan, when giver. into vein, produced the decrease of urine volume(vol) accompanied with the reduction of free water clearance($C_{H2O}$), amounts of sodium excreted in urine($E_{Na}$), with the increase of potassium excreted in urine($E_{K}$), and so ratios of potassium against sodium($K^{+}/Na^{+}$) were elevated, at this time, greatened reabsorption rate of sodium and diministered that of potassium in renal tubules were appeared. Idazoxan administered into a renal artery elicited the augmentation of vol, glomerular filtration rate(GFR), renal plasma flow(RPF) and no change of filtration fraction(FF) in only ipsilateral kidney, whereas $E_{Na},\;E_{K}\;and\;K^{+}/Na^{+}$ were increased and $C_{H2O}$ was decreased in both control and experimental kidney. Idazoxan given into carotid artery showed partial increased vol, remarkable expanded RPF and unchanged GFR, and so filtration fraction(FF) was markedly reduced. Above results suggest that anti- diuretic action of idazoxan given into vein is mediated by reduction of $C_{H2O}\;and\;E_{Na}$, diuretic action only in the ipsilateral kidney by idazoxan given into a renal artery is caused by hemodynamic improvement through expansion of vas afferens in glomeruli.

밸브 내장형 MR 실린더에 관한 연구 (A Study on the MR Cylinder with Built-in alves)

  • A new MR cylinder with built-in valves using MR fluid (MR valve) is suggested and fabricated fur fluid control systems. The MR fluid is a newly developed functional fluid whose obvious viscosity is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. The MR cylinder is composed of cylinder with small clearance and piston with electromagnet. The differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. It has the characteristics of simple, compact and reliable structure. The size of MR cylinder and piston has $\varphi30mm\times300mm$ and $\varphi28.5mm\times120mm$ in face size, respectively and 0.8mm in gap length. Through experiments, it was found that the differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity under little influence of the flow rate, which corresponds to a pressure control valve. The differential pressure of 0.47MPa was obtained with the input current of 1.5A. The rising time was 2.3s in step response of a manipulator using the MR cylinder. The effectiveness of the MR cylinder was also demonstrated through the position control.

  • The leakage characteristic is an important factor in power plant. However, most of power plant have efficiency problem which is occurred leaking between high pressure steam turbine axle and stator. The labyrinth seal which is used between the main turbine axle and stator in the power plant. Because it is able to be non-contact seal and it is minimize clearance to decrease the leakage. But its actual system is too huge to experiment. Therefore, most steam turbine seal performance tests were conducted by air similarity test. This paper described a test facility and program for air similarity test of high pressure steam turbine seal. A test facility has been designed and built to evaluate leakage verification of labyrinth seal. The test facility consist of air compressor, anti-swirl labyrinth seal for 1/3 air similarity model, pressure transducer, air flow measure system, instrumentation and auxiliary system. For evaluation of steam turbine seal performance, the air similarity test of labyrinth seal leakage verification was conducted and we compared experiment data and analysis result.

Sediment Control at Water Intake Structures in a River

  • The intake towers of Buyeo W.T.P. in Keum river have being suffered from the sedimentation problems since the beginning of the operation. Impellers of the intake pumps have to the frequently changed due to the serious surface erosion. Thousands tons of sands are entrapped in the intake towers and equalization chambers of W.T.P. every year. Site surveying and numerical analysis were carried out to suggest an appropriate solution by understanding the general sedimentation regime of Keum river and causes of the sedimentation in the intake towers. Origin of the sediment could be found by the desk and site inspections. The validity of the used numerical models was examined by comparisons between the calculated bydraulic values and the measured ones during the specific periods. The design flow rate for the prediction of the future sedimentation regime of the rever was studied. The efficiency of the sediment control measures was also examined with the verified numerical models. Finally, it was found that the best solution could be a combination of three sediment control measures; increase the clearance between river bed and inlet, construct jetties at 2 kilometers upstream from the intake towers, and put vanes at the right side of the intake towers.
