초저온 피스톤 펌프의 성능 향상에 관한 연구 (The Study on Development of Performance in Cryogenic Piston Pump)

  • In order to develop a universal cryogenic piston pump of small size for increasing utilization of liquid hydrogen, dynamic compression performance of piston pump were evaluated and improvements were also discussed for piston rod and piston tip. The cryogenic piston pump has crosshead structure and inclined cup shape piston tip. As the results, it was found that i) insulation of heat flow from piston-rod part is required for stable operation ii) improving the self-clearance adjustment effect of piston tip and reducing piston eccentricity were desirable to promote pumping pressure and operating range.

닭의 신장기능(腎臟機能)에 미치는 Oxytocin의 영향(影響) (Influence of Oxytocin on the Renal Function of the Chicken)

  • The existence of oxytocin in the pituitary gland of chicken has been ascertained, but its physiological roles are still obscure. In the study the action of oxytocin on renal function of the chicken was investigated during water diuresis, utilizing clearance and the Sperber technique. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Oxytocin, like in many species of mammals, elicited a profound diuretic response in the chicken. Urine flow, excretion of electrolytes, as well as glomerular filteration rate increased, with intravenous infusion of $3{\sim}10\;m{\mu}/kg/min$. Oxtocin, infused into the renal portal circulation via hindleg vein in a dose of $3{\sim}13\;m{\mu}/kg/min$. elicited marked increase in urine flow, glomerular filteration rate and sodium excreted in the urine. The diuretic effect was more pronounced in the infused side. It is suggested that diuretic response to oxytocin in the chicken results from dual action of oxytocin: increase of GFR and inhibition of sodium reabsorption on the renal tubule. The possibility that oxytocin might act through some endogenous substances could be ruled out.

  • Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) techniques have been greatly worthy of notice for efficiently increasing transmission capacity as well as controlling load-flow in overhead transmission lines, in comparison with the existing power system operating with Static Line Rating (SLR). This paper describes an utilization method to implement DLR control system for old transmission lines built in the first stage using the ground clearance design standard with lower dips. The suggested DLR system is focused on designing as temperature control system rather than current/load control system. Based on several performance for conductor temperatures, it is shown that DLR system with efficiency can be implemented.

  • It is very important to improve the durability and reliability of crankshaft because of conflicting demands for lower fuel consumption and higher power output. In this study, for the crankshaft bearing design, analyses were conducted to determine the lubrication characteristics such as oil flow rate, minimum oil film thickness, friction force and increase of oil temperature at main bearing and connecting rod bearing. Additionally, supplied oil pressure and temperature effects on the bearings were simulated to figure out lubrication characteristics on the bearings. Finally the effects of increasing the bearing width and clearance were introduced on the lubrication characteristics.

  • The floating ring seal has the ability of minimizing clearance without the rubbing phenomenon. It is often used in the turbo pump units of liquid rocket engines due to its superior leakage performance. The exact prediction of the lock-up position of the floating ring, the leakage performance, and the rotordynamic coefficients of the seal is necessary to evaluate the rotordynamic performance of the turbo pump unit. The governing equations(which are based on the Bulk-flow Model) we solved by the Fast Fourier Transform method. The lock-up position, leakage flow rate, and rotordynamic coefficients are evaluated according to the geometric parameters of the floating ring seal.

  • Orbiter mechanism has been applied to vacuum pump design for small oxygen generator where low vacuum of about 200mmHg is required. Performance of the designed vacuum pump has been numerically investigated: calculated volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies were 69.7% and 83.9%, respectively for leakage clearance of $10{\mu}m$. Total efficiency of the orbiter vacuum pump was 77.5%. At the shaft speed of 1700 rpm suction displacement volume of 6.3cc provided discharge flow at the rate of 2.3 liter/min with power consumption of 10.1Watt. Torque variation of the orbiter pump was only about 20% of that of diaphragm pump.

  • The effect of break down of centrifugal pump due to entrained air has not been clarified yet. Thus, air-water two-phase flow experimental apparatus was installed to clarify the effect of break down. The performance results of a single-phase flow satisfied reappearance. Also, the heads coincided well impeller types.

  • Assembly is mentioned as important process saving time and cost where we produce the machine with many parts relationships. In this study, parts assembly relationship is analysed for assembly information of micro milling machine which have been developing for research. Liaison diagram, datum flow chain and assembly tree are applied to discuss assembly characteristics of micro milling machine model. We can find out the characteristics of micro machine assembly and discuss about facility of assembly. Some analysis in this paper about micro milling machine will give a useful tools for assembly. We knew that the predicted results from analysis in this study are alignment and clearance among the parts. The 3D model of micro machine which is studied in this paper is not a complete model. Main parts of a micro milling machine are used and presented.

  • Gerotor Pump and Motors are widely used in lubrication and hydraulic actuator systems, These have many advantage compared with internal gear pump and motors, But the gerotor profile have not been sufficiently analyzed theoretically. So it is vary difficult for designer to decide the specifications of the gerotor profile, and it is not yet confirmed to calculating flow rate and minimum distance of clearance in the contact point of inner and outer rotor.   • 침식마모로 인하여 손상되어 차량화재를 유발한 차량용 워터펌프의 성능저하를 CFX프로그램을 이용하여 해석하였다. 손상에 따른 성능저하를 해석하기 위하여, 블레이드의 굽힘 변형과 간극의 증가를 고려하였다. 캐비테이션 해석 시에는 포화증기 발생과 응축 과정을 모델링하기 위하여 Rayleigh-Plesset 모델을 적용하였다.
