The morphology and composition of anodic films, formed on aluminium at various current densities, in the range $1-100{\;}Am^{-2}$, in the molten bisulphate melt at different temperatures (418-498K), have been studied using transmission electron microscopy of ultramicrotomed film sections, and ion beam thinned films. The first sign of incipient breakdown revealed by transmission electron microscopy of stripped films, is always the appearance of dark regions about 1,000 nm in diameter, representing local overgrowth of the film. The breakdown mechanism is closely related to thermal effects, because temperature rises at regions representing local overgrowth in the stripped films were observed at voltages close to the breakdown voltage, likely arising through impact ionization.

The structure and composition of anodic films, formed on 6063 commercial aluminium alloy at constant current density of $1.5A/^dm2$ with various superimposed cathodic current ratio, in the range 0~33%, in the 11% $H_2SO_4$ with various concentration of $CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$, in the range 0~75 g/l, without cathodic current are generally porous-type and no sign of Cu co-deposition appearance, suggesting that cathodic current is an important factor in the Cu co-deposition. Comparison with the anodic film thickness measurement results obtained from anodic film formed by direct anodic current and anodic film formed by superimposed various portion of cathodic current, the portion of cathodic current of input current increases with decrease of anodic film thickness and increases with increase of concentration of $Cu_2S{\;}and{\;}Cu_2O$ in the anodic film.
The quantity of construction and demolition waste has been greatly increasing recently. It causes many problems to the environment. For this reason, demolition waste management becomes inevitable in order to overcome the environmental issues. The present study aims to evaluate the effects of using recycled coarse aggregate, which is generated from construction and demolition waste, on the properties of recycled aggregate concrete. An experimental investigation on the strength characteristics of concrete made with recycled coarse aggregate is presented and discussed in this paper. In this study, Portland Pozzolana Cement (fly ash based) is used instead of ordinary Portland cement. The results of this investigation show the possibility of the use of recycled coarse aggregates in the production of fresh concrete. Use of demolition waste as coarse aggregate will lead to a cleaner environment with a significant reduction of the consumption of natural resources. A comparative study on the strength characteristics of recycled aggregate concrete made with Ordinary Portland Cement and Portland Pozzolana Cement is presented and discussed in this paper.

In this research, life cycle inventory database (LCI DB) was developed for elastomeric bearing employing life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology additionally the reliability improvement rate in the evaluation of the environmental load of the bridge was analyzed. As are result of impact assessment by 6 major impact categories, production of elastomeric bearing puts on environmental impact in the order of resource depletion, global warming, photochemical oxidant creation. and among a wide variety of input, steel plates contributes in most of the impact categories. As a result of applying the elastomeric bearing LCI database constructed in this study, the environmental loads increased by 0.53% on average, and the cut-off based on the cost of input materials increased by 11.36%. It is anticipated that it will be possible to improve the credibility and to provide data based on current production technology, such as estimating GHG emissions and evaluating environmental load, by constructing elastomeric bearing LCI DB.

Remanufacturing that is the rebuilding of a product to specifications of the original manufactured product by collecting used-product, completely disassembling, cleaning and repairing or replacing with a new part and reassembling has been received attention in aspects of resource, recycling because it is a great environmental improvement. Remanufacturing is the rebuilding of a product to specifications of the original manufactured product by collecting used-product, completely disassembling, cleaning and repairing or replacing with a new part and reassembling. With a great environmental improvement and resource recycling and conservation, many studies were conducted. Up to date, remanufacturing activities are mainly applied to automobile parts and printer toner cartridge in South Korea. However, remanufacturing of rental product is not well conducted although rental products are collected in good condition and could be remanufactured in the same condition as a new product. Therefore, in this study, we conducted life cycle assessment (LCA) to an air cleaner product that is one of rental products. This study attempts to identify the processes in new products and remanufacturing life cycles that contribute the most environmental impacts. The results show that air cleaner remanufacturing could reduce about 20% of environmental impacts compared to new product. The greatest benefit related to environmental impact is with regard to ozone layer depletion potential (ODP), which is reduced by 94%. In the life cycle of air cleaner, raw material extraction stage had the most environmental impacts, especially with regard to abiotic depletion potential (ADP) and global warming potential (GWP). In the environmental impacts in each part, the ABS power had the highest environmental impacts.
Some sections of the exhaust system to determine the shape of the duct is to suffer the difficulties by space constraints to install new equipment of the environment post-treatment for existing operation of the power plants. In this paper the large duct in flue gas desulfurization equipments of the 500MW coal-fired power plant on the current operation is numerically analyzed from induced draft fan exit to booster up fan inlet section which is in the narrow space of the exhaust system with four times bending and is connected to emergency duct to bypass the exhaust gas on the emergency operation. The procedure and method using computational fluid dynamics are proposed to maintain the stability of the guide vane with the uniform flow and a minimum pressure loss of exhaust gas in the case of normal and emergency operation between the direction of the flow of exhaust gas duct at different.

This study analyzed the correlation between the sources of the complaints and various factors such as gender, garment type, fabric type, textile material and washing methods for products. This survey utilized a total of 2,609 consumer apparel product complaint cases filed with the Korea Consumer Agency between 1997 and 2009. In regards to consumer liability: it was found that more incidents of failures due to carelessness were reported among men's clothes, knitted garments, cotton clothes, polyester clothes, wool blend clothes, pants, shirts, sportswear, and laundry only clothes. In regards to dry cleaner's liability: women's goods, woven clothes, silk clothes, cotton blend clothes, jackets, shirts and hanbok, and dry clean only clothes indicated problems more frequently. In regards to manufacture's liability: women's clothes, woven clothes, wool clothes, silk clothes, wool blend clothes, polyester blend clothes, formal dress clothes, jackets, hanbok, and dry clean only clothes indicated problems more frequently. This study provides consumers with information necessary to take preventive measures and basic information that can be utilized to improve the quality of production and services by understanding the sources of dissatisfaction, type of clothes found with problems, and the main causes of consumer complaints for garment products according to who is liable.
Destablization and demulsification is a difficult task for the treatment of waste oil-in-water drilling fluid because of its "three-high" characteristics: emulsification, stabilization and oiliness. At present, China is short for effective treating technology, which restricts cleaner production in oilfield. This paper focused on technical difficulties of waste oil-in-water drilling fluid treatment in JiDong oilfield of China, adopting physical-chemical collaboration demulsification technology to deal with waste oil-in-water drilling fluid. After oil-water-solid three-phase separation, the oil recovery rate is up to 90% and the recycled oil can be reused for preparation of new drilling fluid. Meanwhile, harmless treatment of wastewater and sludge from waste oil-in-water drilling fluid after oil recycling was studied. The results showed that wastewater after treated was clean, contents of chemical oxygen demand and oil decreased from 993 mg/L and 21,800 mg/L to 89 mg/L and 3.6 mg/L respectively, which can meet the requirements of grade one of "The National Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB8978); The pollutants in the sludge after harmless treatment are decreased below the national standard, which achieved the goal of resource recovery and harmless treatment on waste oil-in-water drilling fluid.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of fuel injection strategy and engine load on the structure and emissions characteristics of a DI diesel engine with 1.6L of piston displacement. In order to analyze the particulate matter (PM) and exhaust emissions characteristics in a direct injection diesel engine, the quantity of PM and exhaust emissions (including HC, CO and $NO_X$) were investigated under various injection strategies and engine loads. Two different injection strategies (one pilot/main injection and two pilots/main injection) was investigated under the various engine loads. A thermophoretic sampling method with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to obtain the PM morphology (including primary particles, the size of the agglomerates, the number of agglomerates, the fractal dimension). The quantity of soot gradually increased with increasing engine load at both injection strategies. The primary particles in the PM agglomerates indicate that the average of the primary particle and radius of gyration increased as the engine load increased.
