일사량에 따른 전압-전력 특성 (P-V Characteristics According to the Irradiation)

  • Development of renewable energy is promoted to achieve sustainability. So researchers are seeking and developing a new, clean, safe and renewable energy. However, solar energy is an extreme intermittent and inconstant energy source. In order to improve the photovoltaic system efficiency and utilize the solar energy more fully, and the DC power vary with the irradiation, it is necessary to study the characteristics of P-V according to the external factors. This paper presents the analysis of characteristics of P-V according to the irradiation. The results show that the DC power of the photovoltaic system are increased along with the increasing values of irradiation.

This paper presents the analysis of characteristics of photovoltaic P-V according to the module temperature. The results show that it seems that when the module temperature increases, the DC power increases. But actually, because when the irradiation increases, the DC power increases, the result of the relationship between DC power and the module temperature of solar cell will be effects by the increasing irradiation.

  • Hydrox gas which is the mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen gained fromwater electrolysis is one of the new clean energy sources and thus is researched and commercialized actively. Especially, it can be replaced the fossil energy and shows the better quality compared to the conventional energy such as LPG or acetylene gas. The mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen is gained from water electrolysis reaction. It has constant volume ratio 2:1 of hydrogen and oxygen, and it is used as a source of thermal energy by combustion reaction. Further, hydrox gas is nearly a mixed ideal gas combusting itself completely and its combustion shows anunique characteristics of implosion. In this study, temperature rise effects on hydrox gas content through mixed combustion test of kerosene and hydrox gas and LPG and hydrox gas are investigated. it is also confirmed that economy of mixed combustion of hydrox gas as effective energy is fairly probable.

하수처리시스템 온실가스 저감활동에 대한 CDM 사업 적용에 관한 연구 (An Application of CDM Project for Greenhouse Gas Reduction Activities in the Wastewater Treatment Systems)

  • In general, wastewater treatment systems consume high-energy consumption depending on operation characteristics of the facilities. Therefore, greenhouse gas(GHG) reduction activities that are application of digestion gas, induction of renewable energy etc. are conducted to reduce energy consumption and to increase energy independence ratio. In this study, GHG reduction in wastewater treatment system identified, searched application of Clean Development mechanism(CDM) approved methodology. If the methodologies apply to GHG reduction activities such as application of digestion gas, heat pump system using the wastewater as heat source, hydropower using the methodology determined CDM applicability, otherwise through several assumptions calculated expectable GHG reduction emissions and determined CDM applicability. As a result, the order of calculated GHG reduction emission showed that collected and energy generation of digestion gas is 66,775 $tCO_2$/yr, gas engine cogeneration system is 8,182 $tCO_2$/yr, heat pump system using the wastewater as a heat source is 72,715 $tCO_2$/yr, and hydropower is 561 $tCO_2$/yr. Consequently, the order of calculated Certified Emission Reductions(CERs) benefit showed that heat pump system using the wastewater, as a heat source is 1,381 million won/yr was estimated as the highest, followed by a collected and energy generation of digestion gas is 1,268 million won/yr.

  • Korea has a variety of favorable conditions for utilizing wind as energy. First of all, as a geographical characteristic, it is a peninsular country with its three frontiers surrounded by sea. Such a location makes the country influenced, all the year round, both by sea winds and by seasonal winds, so that it has a good possibility of putting its rich wind resources to use as an energy source. Particularly, in view of the results of observations and analysis of actual data about wind sources, it is quite possible to build wind paver plants in many regions across the country, such as inhabited islands dotted on its southern and western coasts around the Korean peninsular, a number of uninhabited islets attached the main islands, large-scaled reclaimed lands, and major inland areas. In Korea, the attempt to develop the technology of wind paver generation started in the 1970's. It was since 1988, when the Law on the promotion of Alternative Energy Development was enacted, that research and development activities for employing the wind force as a part of energy source have got into full swing. At that moment, however, due to the low level of domestic technological development, such efforts were mainly focused on the attainment of basic technologies with regard to wind power generation. Recently, there have been many noticeable changes in the international as well as domestic environments, such as the conclusion of the International Climate Treaty and the increase in public concerns of natural environment. It is quite possible to predict that the demand for wind paver generation will increase in the near future. Therefore, recognizing that wind, as a clean energy source, can be a promising method for coping with the International Climate Treaty and for replacing the fossil fuel, oil, this essay investigates the development history of wind paver generation systems and the status of technological development in Korea and presents an appropriate model for the development of the paver generation system that can compete with other energy sources.

  • FCEV uses electric energy which generated from the reaction between Hydrogen and Oxygen in fuel cell stack as driving force. As fossil fuels are exhausted, fuel cell is regarded as a potent substitute for next generation energy source, and thus, most of car-makers make every efforts to develop fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). In addition, fuel cell is also beneficial in aspect of environment, because only clean water is produced during chemical reaction process instead of harmful exhausted gas. Generally, Hydrogen is supplied from high-pressured fuel tank, and air blower (or compressor) supply Oxygen by pressurizing ambient air. Air blower which is driven by high speed motor consumes about $7{\sim}8$ % of energy generated from fuel cell stack. Therefore, the efficiency of an air blower is directly linked with the performance of FCEV. This study will present the development process of an air blower and its consisting parts respectively.
