푸코이단을 함유한 Clay/아크릴아미드 하이드로젤 (Clay/Acrylamide Hydrogels Having Fucoidan)

  • 하이드로젤은 다양한 분야에 적용가능한 그 잠재성으로 인해 널이 연구되어 왔다. 특히 설파이드와 같은 기능성기의 도입은 그들의 응용성을 넓혀왔다. 본 연구에서 점토/아크릴아미드 하이드로젤에 푸코이단을 도입하는 연구를 수행하였다. 얻어진 semi-IPN 나노복합 하이드로젤에서 선형사슬형 다당류인 푸코이단은 점토와 강한 이온 상호작용을 가졌다. 단순한 혼합실험에서도 푸코이단은 점토와 화학결합 없이 물리적 가교를 이룰 수 있었다. Semi-IPN 하이드로젤에서 평형팽윤비율은 푸코이단의 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 탄성계수는 푸코이단의 함량이 증가함 따라 초기엔 증가하였고 더 증가하면 감소하였다. 이러한 하이드로젤의 파괴의 일 값은 강인한 성질을 보여주었다. 본 하이드로젤은 조절 가능한 하이드로젤로서의 성질들과 함께 점막접착성 등의 기능성 특징을 나타낼 수 있다.

실내공기질 개선을 위한 자연소재마감재의 오염물질 방출특성 및 저감에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics and reduction of pollutant emission by finishing with natural materials for improving the IAQ)

  • This study aims to reduce the pollutant emission for improving the IAQ by finishing with natural materials. To investigate the concentration of pollutants such as Vocs, HCHO, both the chamber experiment and field measurement were conducted. The results of the study can be summarized as flows. (1) According to the chamber experiment of pollutant-emitting porwer of diatomite materials showed that VOCs and formaldehyde emission rates were lower and satisfied to the most on the HB Grade. (2) The field measurement of pollutant-emitting concentration of clay materials were lower 35% than other materials. (3) The Vocs and formaldehyde were most emitted from furnitures and the emission rate were found to be proportional to indoor air temperature. To control the emitted pollutants efficiently, the reasonable selection of finishing with natural materials are required.

  • There has been extensive interest in the development of new nanocomposites. One kind of these systems is the hybrid based on organic polymers and inorganic minerals consisting of layered silicates. Some properties like stiffness, strength, barrier properties, thermal, and oxidative stability can be improved by the presence of the filler in the polymeric matrix[1]. It is reported that, in the nylon 6/clay nanocomposites, the modulus is increased, but impact strength and elongation at break are drastically decreased. (omitted)

Fabrication of Light Aggregates Using the Fly Ash-Clay Slurry

  • The light aggregates were fabricated by sintering green bodies made form the fly ash-clay alip. The content of fly ashes in the slip could be increased up to 70wt.% due to controlled rheological behavior of the slip, and the green body of uniform microstructure could be obtained by DCC(Direct Coagulation Casting)method. The apparent density, microstructure and compressive strength for sintered bodies fired at 1100∼1200$^{\circ}C$ were evaluated. The properties of light aggregates fabricated depend on slip density, particle behavior in the slip and sintering conditions. The sintered body prepared by firing a green body made from slip of density 1.60 at 1150$^{\circ}C$/2hr satisfied conditions of a light aggregate as apparent density of 1.49${\pm}$0.02 and compressive strength of 584${\pm}$62kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

Processing of Microcellular Nanocomposite Foams by Using a Supercritical Fluid

  • Polystyrene/layered silicate nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation. To examine the distribution of the clay in polymer matrix, small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used. Intercalated nanocomposites were obtained and their rheological properties were investigated. Microcellular nanocomposite foams were produced by using a supercritical fluid. As clay contents increased, the cell size decreased and the cell density increased. It was found that layered silicates could operate as heterogeneous nucleation sites. As the saturation pressure increased and the saturation temperature decreased, the cell size decreased and the cell density increased. Microcellular foams have different morphology depending upon the dispersion state of nanoclays.

  • 연약 점토 지반의 처리 기술은 고도의 토목공학적인 기술을 요한다. 특히 준설매립토는 액성한계가 크고 자연함수비가 매우 높아 매립재료는 부적합하지만 기술의 발달로 재료의 거동을 예측하여 안정한 재료로 활용할 수있는 단계에 있다. 본 연구에서는 초연약 준설 점토의 침강거동 및 자중 압밀거동의 특성을 알아보고 현장의 상황을 재현한 모형실험으로 얻어진 결과를 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 압밀시험기는 대형으로 제작하였으며 높이와 직경의 변화에 따른 압밀거동의 특성을 고찰해 보고 수치모델로 자중압밀의 거동을 예측하였다.

천연산 점토광물을 이용한 폐-유기 염료 제거 (The Removal of Organic Dye Waste using Natural Clay Minerals)

  • M78과 일본산 KJ, 2개의 점토를 사용하여 계면활성제 CTMA(M-1, KJ-1), DSDMA(M-2, KJ-2) 그리고 TMSA(M-3, KJ-3)를 이용하여 변성된 점토광물을 합성하였다. 이러한 변성된 점토광물을 사용하여 염색 폐수의 주원인인 염료 중의 하나이며 대구 염색 공단 등에서 많이 사용되고 있는 염료인 acid blue 92와 acid red 1의 흡착 제거 실험을 통해 M-1, M-3, KJ-1 KJ-3의 경우 아주 좋은 흡착능력을 보인다는 결과를 얻었으며 이러한 결과는 점토 M과 KJ의 거의 0%에 가까운 흡착능력과 아주 좋은 비교가 될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 M-1과 KJ-3의 경우에는 이러한 염료 제거율이 거의 100%에 근접해 이러한 변성 점토가 실제 염색공단에서 배출되는 유해성 잔류 유기 염료 성분의 제거 방법으로 사용될 수 있는 충분한 가능성을 보였다고 할 수 있겠다.

초연약 해성점토의 표층고화처리를 위한 최적배합에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Mixture Ratio for Stabilization of Surface Layer on Ultra-soft Marine Clay)

  • Recently, as large constructions on the coast are performed frequently, surface layer stabilization method which Is one of the improvement methods for dredged soft clay has been applied. However, there have been few studies about the surface layer stabilization method. The purpose of this study is to clarify characteristics of ultra-soft marine clay and hardening agent. Also, optimal mixture ratio of hardening agent was verified through the laboratory tests such as statistical analysis and pilot tests. Laboratory tests were performed with proper hardening agent and test soil and standard mixing tables of hardening agent were determined according to ground conditions through statistical analysis. Also, applicability of surface layer stabilization method to field was verified by pilot tests. From the results of the tests, it was found that hardening agent materials such as cement, slag, fly-ash, inorganic salts, arwin, gypsum etc. affect on the appearing compressive strength. It was defined optimal mixture ratio which satisfies the required compressive strength from the statistical analysis. Also, It was compared the effect of ground improvement by cements and hardening agents through the pilot tests. This study will serve as data for design or construction criteria of stabilization of surface layer on ultra-soft marine clay.

생석회 주입 점토의 시간경과에 따른 압축강도 특성 (Characteristics of Compressive Strength Corresponding to the Time Lapse of Quicklime Injected Clay)

  • 연약점토층의 개량은 국토의 효율적인 이용을 위하여 중요하며, 효과적인 공법과 재료의 개발을 위한 필요성은 증가되고 있다. 지반을 개량하기 위하여 주입되는 재료인 생석회는 연약한 점토층의 개량을 위한 유용한 방법으로 이용이 가능하다. 실험적 연구에 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 생석회를 사용했을 때 실질적인 강도의 증가를 주입 초기단계부터 얻을 수 있었다. 실험결과 전반적으로 생석회에 의한 연약 점토지반의 개량 효과가 석회석이나 모래를 주입한 경우 보다 더 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 석회석 매장량이 풍부한 우리나라에서는 활용 가능성이 매우 높다고 할 수 있다.

석탄회-점토계 소지의 제조 및 물성 (Manufacture and Properties of Coal Fly Ash-Clay Body)

  • Utilization of fly ash by-produced from coal fired power plants and classified as general waste became very important problem to solve in the environmental protection and recycling of waste materials. The possibility of large scale substitution of fly ash as a raw material for bricks and wet tiles was highly expected because the chemical compositions of fly ash were mostly Al2O3 and SiO2 and the properties of it were very similar with clay. Accordingly in order to investigate the substitutional limit these specimens were substituted from 0 to 100 wt% fly ash by 20wt% increment for clay. Fly ash-clay bodies were fired at 1200, 1250 and 130$0^{\circ}C$ and then their properties were measured, It was found that these specimens sintered at 125$0^{\circ}C$ had a good bending strength. Especially when these sintered bodies were added to 20, 40 and 60 wt% fly ash the bending strength of those were 201 , 205 and 191kg.cm2 respectively with the water absorption below 1%, This showed that fly ash could be substituted ab 60 wt% in this experiment.
