마이크로 금형 가공 및 사출성형에 관한 연구 (Micro Parts Machining and Injection Molding Technology)

  • As a fundamental study on developing elements with micro shape, micro mold parts machining and experiment of injection molding using it were performed. The ultra precision micro machining system with high functionality was fabricated, and utilized in the machining of micro parts. By using this machining system and micro end-mill tool, a micro circle column structure of high aspect ratio, diameter 60 $\mu\textrm{m}$, height 500 $\mu\textrm{m}$, was fabricated. And a micro lens molds were fabricated by using ball end-mill tool of 300 $\mu\textrm{m}$ diameter and diamond fly-cut tool of 150 $\mu\textrm{m}$ radius. A micro injection molding machine, which is clamping force 1.75 ton, injection capacity 2.8cc, was fabricated for injection molding experiment using micro molds. The injection molding experiment was performed by using the injection molding machine, micro cylinder structures and lens molds. This paper introduces these micro machining system and injection molding machine and demonstrates examples of injection molding using fabricated molds.

수치해석을 통한 7인치 도광판 사출압축성형 공저범위 예측 (Numerical Prediction of Process Window for Injection-Compression Molding of 7-inch LGP)

  • The main objective of the present study is to predict the process window of injection-compression molding corresponding to the capability of an injection machine for fabricating 7 inch LGP. The open distance and volume filled after injection stage were found to be two important factors that affect critical requirements such as flow length, injection pressure and clamping force for the process. Process window for the key factors was also predicted by response surface method. As a result, predicted process window for open distance and volume filled after injection stage satisfying the critical requirement with a given injection machine was in the range of 60 ~ 75%, and 104.00 ~ 104.25%, respectively.

액압벌징에 의한 보온용기의 제조방법 개발 (Development of Manufacturing Method of Vessel for Keeping Warm by Hydraulic Bulging)

  • Bulging is a forming method to shape of die cavity by using hydraulic pressure in tube or vessel. Bulging machine and die were developed in order to produce vessel for keeping warm. Bulging machine is a double type with two horizontal cylinders for bulging of two pieces at the same time. The developed die system has one bulging die and two drawing dies for necking at the both ends of tube. The diameter of tube expands by hydraulic pressure in tube. at the same time, thrust at the both ends of tube. pushes tube in the direction of expansion to obtain high expanding rate with no crack. In this study, the bulging properties were investigated to solve tube crack and necking in manufacturing vessel by the combination method of bulging and drawing. As a result, high expanding rate of tube radius without crack, precision necking and high productivity were obtained.

  • 직렬로 연결 된 다층의 단위전지 집합으로 구성되는 고체 고분자 연료전지의 적층전지는 에서 발생 할 수 있는 단위전지 간 전압손실과 압력구배를 최소화하기 위해 적층전지 내의 단위전지 외에 부품 및 재료를 추가하여 전압손실과 압력구배를 줄이는 방법에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 체결압 구배를 최소화하기 위해 부드러운 층으로 이루어진 외곽부분과 딱딱한 층으로 이루어진 중심부를 가지는 필름을 전류집합체 뒤쪽에 첨가하였고, 분리판과 전류집합체 사이에서 발생 할 수 있는 전압손실을 방지하기 위해 높은 전기 전도성을 가지며, 평활도를 유지 할 수 있는 재료로 구성 된 복합층을 전류집합체와 분리판 사이에 첨가하였다. 압력구배 측정 및 다층전지 성능테스트 중 단전지간 전압손실을 측정하여 기 제작 된 첨가층들에 대한 영향의 정도를 파악하였다.

  • The HDD unbalance, with higher rotational speed, is directly influenced by the mechanical assembly allowance between clamping disk and platter disk. The low frequency structural vibration induced by the unbalance force finally gives rise to the structure borne noise of the personal computer. To meet the noise and vibration requirements, the absolute unbalance mass of HDD needs to be measured and adjusted in the disk assembling stage. This study introduces the measurement methods of the absolute magnitude and position of the unbalance mass of HDD based on the mobility and acceleration orbit. The absolute unbalance mass can be obtained by the acceleration responses and the mobility of the mechanical part, while the position of the unbalance mass ran be obtained by the rotation acceleration orbit.

  • Analytical approach was followed in this work under both the steady state and transient operating conditions to find optimum boundary conditions, where the optically accessible quartz engine can run safely without breaking. Temperature and stress distribution was predicted by FEM analysis. In order to validate thermal boundary condition, model reliability and constraint, outside cylinder temperature was measured and previous study was also followed up numerically. To reduce thermal stress level, three types of outside cooling (natural, moderate forced and intensive forced convection) were considered. Effects of clamping force and combustion pressure were conducted to investigate mechanical stress level. Cylinder thickness, was changed to fine the optimum cylinder thickness. The versatile results achieved from this work can be basic indication, which is capable of causing a sudden quartz cylinder breaking during fired operation.

  • According to the needs of change to hybrid, fuel cell and electric vehicle, and to the increasing demand for safety and eco-friendliness, the necessity of Electro-Mechanical Brake(EMB) is being increased. But, one of the most important problems for realizing EMB to the practical use is that the required motor power for braking is too high. So the high braking efficient EMB is required. In recent years, the Electronic Wedge Brake(EWB) is noticeable for the high braking efficiency. In this research, we examine the improvable matter of the recent published EWB, and we propose the improved mechanism and the cost effective control method using this mechanism. And we test these feasibility by experiment and discuss these meaning and effect.

압축효과를 가미한 도광판의 전사성과 복굴절 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on The Improvement of Pattern Replication and Birefringence in LGP by Adding Compression Effects)

  • It is necessary to improve the pattern replication and birefringence in LGP(Light guide panel) for better optical performance. In the present paper, the effects of injection-compression and injection-press mode with normal injection mold on the distribution of transcription of pattern and birefringence were studied. It was found that the values of pattern replication was improved and the birefringence was reduced for the cases of low initial clamping force in injection-compression mode and for the cases of longer mold opening length in injection-press mode, repectively.

  • In this study, equivalent linear damping and stiffness of a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) structure with a rotational friction damper are estimated using the result of experiments and compared with those obtained from non-linear time history analyses. First, the transfer function of the test model is constructed and then the equivalent stiffness and damping are calculated, using the half-power bandwidth (HPB) method. For comparative study, those properties are estimated based on stochastic theory in the time domain. Both equivalent linear systems identified from experiments and numerical analyses correspond well. Further, it is observed that there exists an optimal clamping force on the rotational friction damper from estimated equivalent damping.

  • In this paper, we design a wedge type rail clamp which can protect container crane from wind with constant clamping force regardless of the operating period. When we design wedge type rail clamp. it is important to determine the angle of wedge and analyze a contact condition of roller and wedge so that we might develop a rail clamp with variable capacity. Therefore, this paper suggest a process to decide wedge angles within feasible range which could be obtained using load analysis and FEA of wedge type rail clamp.
