  • 빅데이터 시대의 도래로 다양한 NoSQL 데이터베이스 엔진이 활용되고 있다. NoSQL 데이터베이스 엔진 기반의 다양한 응용들이 수행될 때 스토리지의 성능을 평가하기 위한 스토리지 벤치마킹 툴이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 NoSQL 데이터베이스를 이용한 스토리지 벤치마킹 시스템을 설계한다. 제안하는 스토리지 벤치마킹 시스템은 IO 추적기를 통해 스토리지의 성능을 측정하고, 웹 UI를 통해 사용자 정의 워크로드 생성, 벤치마킹 실행, 결과 확인을 수행할 수 있다.

  • Bisphenol A (BPA) mimics estrogen and its activity is one third to one quarter that of estradiol. BPA, an ubiquitous environmental contaminent has been shown to cause development reproductive toxicity and carcinogenic effect. BPA may do physiological action through ER$\alpha$ and ER$\beta$ which are expressed in central nerve system. We previously found that expose of BPA to immature mice resulted in behavial alternation, suggesting that overexposure of BPA could be neurotoxic. (omitted)

Dieback of Apple Tree by Major Soil Borne Diseases in Chungbuk Province from 2013 to 2015 (2013-2015년 충북에서 주요 토양병에 의한 사과나무 고사 실태)

  • Recently, severe dieback of apple tree has occurred in the apple orchards of Chungbuk province. Dieback rate and its casual agents have been investigated on the Chungbuk province apple orchards in 2013-2015. Out of 29,265 apple trees in the 27 orchards throughout Chungbuk province, 4,000 apple trees (13.7%) showed dieback symptoms. The causes of dieback were Phytophthora rot (50.4%), violet root rot by Helicobasidium sp. (27.1%), rodents (10%), white root rot by Rosellinia sp. (6.3%), and freezing injury (6.3%). Compared to previous reports published in 1995 and 2006, Phytophthora rot was the most dominant disease, which is thought to be due to high temperature during growing season and the increase of lowland cultivation. Results of this study will be useful to establish of the management strategy of apple tree dieback that has been increased recently.

Infections with Digenean Trematode Metacercariae in Two Invasive Alien Fish, Micropterus salmoides and Lepomis macrochirus, in Two Rivers in Chungcheongbuk-do, Republic of Korea

  • Present study was performed to survey infection status of digenetic trematode metacercariae in 2 alien fish species, Micropterus salmoides (largemouth bass) and Lepomis macrochirus (bluegill), in 2 rivers draining Chungcheongbuk-do, Republic of Korea. A total of 107 largemouth bass and 244 bluegills were caught in Daecheong-ho (ho=lake) and Musim-cheon (a branch of Geum-gang), in Chungcheongbuk-do April-July 2015. Additionally, 68 native fish of 5 species, i.e., Zacco platypus, Hemibarbus longirostris, Carassius auratus, Pseudogobio esocinus and Puntungia herzi, were caught from the same water bodies. All of the fish collected were examined by artificial digestion method. The metacercariae of Centrocestus armatus, Clinostomum complanatum, Metagonimus sp. and Diplostomum spp. were detected from 4 out of 5 native fish species in Daecheong-ho. However, any metacercariae were not found from 87 M. salmoides and 177 L. macrochirus in Daecheong-ho. In Musim-cheon, metacercariae of Exorchis oviformis and Metacercaria hasegawai were detected from 78% Z. platypus and 34% L. macrochirus, but any metacercariae not found in M. salmoides. We report here that the 2 alien fish species were less infected with the metacercariae than the native ones. Surveys on the metacercariae in the alien fish species in geographically various rivers should be undertaken for better understanding on the role of alien fish species in the trematode infections in Republic of Korea.

  • 본 연구는 온라인 구성주의 학습 등 다양한 체험학습이 가능하게 하기 위하여 웹캠으로 촬영된 영상 중 사용자의 모습만을 추출, 이를 전송하여 여러 사용자의 영상과 교육과정에 맞는 상황이나 현장을 3D 환경에 혼합하여 제공하는 시스템을 개발하는데 있어 영상, 음성 3D 정보, 학습개체 등을 원활하게 통신할 수 있는 통신 매커니즘을 설계하고 구현한다.

  • 최근 초고속 인터넷망의 발전으로 실시간으로 화상 교육 시스템 구축이 가능하게 되었다. 그러나 기존의 화상교육 시스템은 단순히 사용자의 얼굴과 음성만을 전달하기 때문에 교육적인 측면에서 실감나는 교육 시스템으로는 볼 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 웹캠으로 촬영된 영상을 3D 가상공간에 적용시켜 사용자가 교육 현장에서 교육활동이 이루어지는 것과 같은 실감나는 교육 서비스를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 교육에 필요한 문서, 음성, 자료 공유를 실시간으로 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • 스마트 폰에 탑재된 기능들이 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있으며 사용자는 스마트폰의 위치정보 서비스를 통하여 주변의 여러 정보를 손쉽게 접근 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 국내에서는 뉴스와 위치 정보 서비스를 결합하여 뉴스 정보를 제공해주는 프로그램이 거의 없는 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰과 웹 서버(Web Server)간의 위치 정보와 뉴스 정보를 서로 통신하여 주고받아 스마트폰 사용자에게 주변의 뉴스기사를 제공해주는 어플리케이션 시스템을 제안한다.

Effects of DO concentration on Simultaneous Nitrification and Denitrification(SND) in a Membrane Bioreactor(MBR) (MBR 단일 반응조에서 용존산소 농도에 따른 동시 질산화-탈질반응(SND)의 영향)

  • In this study, simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND) from synthetic wastewater were performed to evaluate dissolved oxygen(DO) effects on chemical oxygen demand(COD) and nitrogen removal in a single membarne bio-reactor(MBR). DO levels in MBR at Run 1, 2, and 3 were 1.9~2.2, 1.3~1.6, and 0.7~1.0 mg/L, respectively. Experimental results indicated that DO had an important factor to affect COD and total nitrogen(TN) removal. SND were able to be accomplished in the continuous-aeration MBR by controlling ambient DO concentration. It is postulated that, because of the oxygen diffusion limitation, an anoxic micro-zone was formed inside the flocs where the denitrification might occur. From the results of this study, 96% of COD could be removed at DO of 0.7mg/L. At run 2 72.92% of nitrogen was removed by the mechanisms of SND (7.75mg-TN/L in effluent). In this study, SND was successfully occurred in a MBR due to high MLSS that could help to form anoxic zone inside microbial floc at bulk DO concentrations of 1.3~1.6mg/L.
