고깔의 比較 言語學的 硏究 (A Comparative Linguistic Study on Kokal)

  • The purpose of this research was to study the origins and the meanings of the Kokal (고깔). Comparative linguistic analytical approaches were employed to trace the development of the word, the Kokal(고깔). Results of this study revealed that the kotkal(곳갈, 곧갈) was a general term referring to a variety of head coverings in eh period of Choson Dynasty. This broad meanings of the Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) of the Chosun Dynasty period has been changed to a narrow sense meanings a conical cap made of folds of the material, mainly used by some of the Buddhist monks in modern Korean. Also, the phonetic value of the Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) of the Choson Dynasty period changed to the Kokal(고깔) in modern Korean. A variety of words for the Kokal(고깔) was found in the different languages such as Latin, English, French, Turkish, German, Mongolian, and Chinese. The examination and analysis of this study indicated that the origin of the Korean word Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) or Kokal(고깔) and the meanings of it were derived from LL. Cuculla(monk's cowl)

  • 이 논문은 조선시대 기록문헌인 "한국문집총간", "조선왕조실록", "일성록", "승정원일기"(이상은 한국고전번역원 한국고전종합DB를 활용함) 등을 대상으로 김치 관련 어휘를 확보하여 용례를 검출하고 문화사적으로 분석하는 것을 목표로 한다. 기존의 김치 관련 문헌자료는 일부 요리 전문서에 국한되었으나 본 연구에서는 기존의 국한성을 극복하고 종합적이면서도 체계적인 접근을 시도하였다. 조선시대 고문헌은 주로 한문 고문으로 기록되어 가독성이 떨어지며, 자료 확보 이후에 번역 작업에 많은 시간과 공력이 필요할 것으로 예상된다. 이에 필자는 이 부분에 중점을 두어 연구를 추진하였다. 그 다음으로는 이상의 자료들을 주제별, 문헌 출처별 분류를 진행하여 조선시대 김치문화의 문화원형을 재구성하였다.

조선왕조실록의 빅데이터분석을 통한 유교정치 연구 (Study on Confucian Politics about the Annals of the Choson Dynasty through Big Data Analysis)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 현대 정책학의 이론적 근거를 조선왕조의 유교정치 사례에서 찾는 것이다. 분석대상은 조선왕조실록에 기록된 유교 관련 기사이다. 연구방법은 문헌조사에 근거한 사례분석이며, 빅데이터 기술을 적용해 모집단 전체를 분석하였다. 분석결과 정책분야, 왕조별특징, 분야별주제, 정책변화, 결정요인을 확인했다. 조선의 유교정책은 제도, 조직, 재정, 애민, 예(禮) 다섯 분야이다. 왕조별특징으로 세종, 성종, 영조, 정조를 중심으로 정치적인 맥이 계승되었다. 분야별주제는 전기는 공자 중심의 예(禮)를, 후기는 주자 중심의 제도를, 위기 시 맹자 중심의 재정이 주된 내용이다. 정책변화는 초기 건국, 전기 정비, 중기 위기, 후기 재건, 말기 몰락 시기로 구분되었다. 결정요인은 빈번히 거론된 공자보다 주자나 정자가 큰 것을 확인했다. 이 연구는 한글과 한자를 병기한 사전을 구축하여 해석과 맥락분석의 정확성을 높였다. 유교정치를 서양의 정책학적 관점에서 분석하여 동양의 정책학 구현의 가능성을 발견하였다.

조선시대 반가 정원공간의 조영사상에 관한 연구 - 문화재 지정 9개 지역의 반가를 중심으로 - (A Study on the thought of Building Noble Family's House Garden of Chosun Dynasty -Focus One the 9 Noble Family's Houses Designated as Cultural Property-)

  • This study is about Tak Mok theory of feng-shui ideology which was main thought in Choson dynasty or some other thoughts and noble families' thought of garden building : planting trees and properties of the noble families garden. The result from the study of noble family's garden molding is as follows. In the noble family's garden molding, there were considerations of plant ecology known through long experience and the functional aspect of planting tree and esthetic sense of housing circumstances, in addition to feng-shui thought, Taoist thought and the doctrine of the five natural elements of the positive vs. negative. We can learn Choson's noble family's garden included playroom as well as symbolic and incantatory meaning. Also in the thought of noble family's garden molding we can found proper element for modern housing plan such as an ecological peculiarity or functional aspect of dwelling circumstance. And we can also found they didn't show a rejection symptoms against nature but enclosed with straight form which was traditional trait, and each space of it is composed organically. Also we knew they selected a diverse and refined technique with it's decorating the Choson dynasty playful and meditative space. We found that the key point of the thought of noble family's garden molding were on the basis of Confucianal mood, content amid poverty thought and free technique of it.

조선 초기 보천가(步天歌)와 천문류초(天文類抄)의 성립에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of Pochonka and Chonmun yucho in the Early Choson Dynasty)

  • 조선 초기의 보천가(步天歌)와 천문류초(天文類抄)에 대해 연구하였다. 이 연구에서는, 다음과 같은 근거로부터 이 보천가(步天歌)의 가결(歌訣)이 A.D. 1161년에 중국에서 출간된 통지(通志)에 실려 있는 보천가(步天歌)에 큰 영향을 받았음을 알았다. 두 보천가(步天歌)의 별자리들은 서술 순서가 같고, 태미원(太微垣)의 가결(歌訣)의 첫 구철이 일곱 글자가 아니라 다섯 글자로 되어 있으며, 특히 별자리들에 대한 은하수의 위치를 기술한 천하기몰(天河起沒)은 통지(通志)의 저자인 정초(鄭樵)가 특별히 작성하여 보충한 것인데 그것이 조선 보천가(步天歌)에 들어 있다는 점이 그 근거들이다. 통지(通志)는 A.D. 1364년에 고려에 들어왔으므로, 조선 초기의 보천가(步天歌)는 그 후에야 성립 될 수 있다. 조선 초기의 보천가(步天歌)는, 중국의 보천가(步天歌)들과 비교할 때, 그 가결(歌訣)에 별자리들의 색깔이 유난히 강조되어 있다. 이것은 석신(石申), 감덕(甘德), 무함(巫咸)으로부터 기원한 별자리를 색깔로 구분하려는 의도이다. 조선 초기에 출간된 보천가(步天歌)와 천상열차분야지도(天象列次分野之圖)의 성도(星圖)들은 별자리들의 이름, 별개수, 모양 등이 일치한다. 이 사설은 조선 보천가(步天歌)의 성도(星圖)가 천상열차분야지도(天象列次分野之圖)의 모본(母本)이나 천상열차분야지도(天象列次分野之圖) 자체에서 기원했음을 뜻한다. 천상열차분야지도(天象列次分野之圖)의 모본(母本)은 A.D. 1392년에 발견되어 A.D. 1396년에 비석에 새겨졌기 때문에, 보천가(步天歌)의 성립시기의 상한은 1392년이 된다. 천문류초(天文類抄)는 보천가(步天歌)에 중국의 점성술 문헌의 내용을 덧붙인 책이다. 이 책의 성립 시기는 그 저자인 이순지(李純之)의 생애 등을 근거로 A.D. 1440-1450년으로 추론되었다. 더군다나, 보천가(步天歌)는 A.D. 1430년에 관상감의 천문학자를 뽑는 취재(取才) 시험의 과목으로 선정되었다. 이러한 사설들로부터, 이 연구에서는 조선의 보천가(步天歌)가, 송(宋)의 선진 체제를 받아들임으로써 조선 왕조의 문화적 정치적 기초를 다지기 위해, A.D. 1392년에서 A.D. 1430 사이에 출간되었을 것으로 추론하였다.

다변수 분석법에 의한 조선시대 동전의 분류연구 (Multivariate Classification of Choson Coins)

  • Fifty ancient Korean coins originated in Choson dynasty have been determined for 9 elements such as Sn, Fe, As, Ag, Co, Sb, Ir, Ru and Ni by instrumental neutron activation analysis and for 3 elements such as Cu, Pb, and Zn by atomicalsorption spectrometry. Bronze coins originated in early days of the dynasty contain as major constituents Cu, Pb and Sn approximately in the ratio 90 : 4 : 3, where as, those in latter days contain in the ratio 7 : 2 : 0. Brass coins which had begun in 17century contain as major constituents Cu, Zn and Pb approximately in the ratio 7 : 1: 1. The multivariate date have been analyzed for the relation among elemental contents through the variance-covariance matrix. The data have been fur theranalyzed by a principal component mapping method. As the results training set of 8class have been chosen, based on the spread of sample points in an eigenvector plotand archaeolgical data such as age and the office of minting.

  • HwaSungSungYouk was one of the construction project in viewpoint of today's construction management and various information how to build the HwaSung at the last of the eighteen century had been recored in HwaSungSungYoukEuGye. The purpose of this study is to analyse the HwaSungSungYoukEuGye' management technic in viewpoint of today's construction management. In the record, there are a lot of informtion relate to record management, time management, cost management, etc. and the concept of the managements can be applied to today's construction project effectively. The concept and detail of the HwaSungSungYouk's project management should be analysed more.

선성김씨족보 소재 고려말 장적의 복원 (Restoration of the register of houses, inhabitants and their ancestry in the late Koryo period which is in the Sunsung Kim family registers)

  • Through the restoration, we can find that the register of houses, inhabitants and their ancestry, which is in the Sunsung Kim family registers, was fundamentally the census register of Kim Roe including more ancestry transformed into the lists of house, inhabitants and their ancestry of Kim Roe, Kim Bang-Seek, Kim Sung-Sae and Kim Hee-Bo. And we can find also the original forms were considerably damaged. That is, in the course of transformation, considerable parts of the contents of ancestry were not needed, so they were removed, the recordings of brotherandsisters, sons and their servants were also removed. By comparing of the restored census register of Kim Roe and the Sunsung Kim family registers, we can know the fact that when they published the family registers, the contents of the founder to the ninth descendants were totally depended on the census register of Kim Roe. The Census Register of King Taejo of Choson Dynasty(National Treasure No. 131) which has been recorded almost same periods as the census register of Kim Roe was remained as an original state. Therefore, it was greatly helpful for restoring the census register of Kim Roe. There were few materials which we can know the way of ordinary life in Koryo period. But through the census register of Kim Roe and the census Register of King Taejo of Choson Dynasty, we have a glimpse of their life history. Nevertheless we can find some demerits in the census register of Kim Roe as followers : First, it is not an original but a transformed one, while the Census Register of King Taejo of Choson Dynasty is first materials. Second, it was recorded the only one family. Finally, it was omitted the parts of his brotherandsisters, children and servants who lived with their master. According to these demerits its worth of materials for history will be descended more or less. Therefore, when we use this material, we should treat it more considerably.

조선시대 감로탱화 풍속장면의 복식 연구 (Studies on the Costume of Gamrotenghwa in Choson Dynasty)

  • The Gamrotenghwa of the Choson Dynasty is a unique genre of buddhist painting in that the destiny of the dead souls and the guidance to nirvana are expressed in reality. More than 50 of the Gamrotenghwa are known to be present, and the lower part of the paintings includes a wide assortment of folk customary scenes reflecting the social life style of the time when the painting was drawn, such as difficulties in life. public life, punishment and war. Changes in the costume of the people shown on the customary scenes of the Gamrotenghwa according to the time based changes in painting style were investigated in this study. The results are summarized in three points. First, the costumes of bureaucrats showed a tendency of preservation without any major changes in the painting. On the other hand, costumes of public and entertainer in the scenes were very close to those worn by the people at that time. The realistic description of public life in the painting may establish the value of the Gamrotenghwa as the historical documents. Second, the costume of the people in the painting showed a dual structure as the social positions; bureaucrats wore various official hats, large coats and belts to expose their social prestige. while the general public wore simple and convenient clothing which is divided into shirt and pants. The dual structure of the costume in the painting is in well accordance with that of the later period of Choson dynasty, suggesting that the customary scenes in the painting represent the social life style of the period. Finally, the customary scenes in the Gamrotenghwa are very variegated. which shows a variety of beauty of wearing even though they look coarse in a sense. The diversity of wearing beauty in the picture may contribute to the recreation of the beauty of shape in the new design of Hanbok.
