Recently, in the shipping companies have been employing prudently in order to prevent from sea accidents occurred by human factors. Also the students of merchant marine universities are choosing prudently the shipping companies when taking a job. But many qualitative and quantitative factors are considered in decision making for the employment. FSM(Fuzzy Structural Modeling) has been widely used in modeling the system composed of such qualitative and quantitative factor. In this paper, a case study is discussed for the analysis of the consciousness of the employment of shipping companies using FSM. Also this paper proposed the planes for educating and recruitment guiding the student in maritime university.

Tolerance analysis plays an important role in design and manufacturing stages for reducing manufacturing cost by improving producibility. In most production processes encountered in practice, a process mean may shift or drift in the long run although process is in control. This study discusses the feasibility of three most common inflation factors(Bender, Gilson and Six Sigma) as a correction to Root Sum of Squares(RSS) method to compensate heuristically for a shift of process mean and nonnormal component distributions from simulation experiments and proposes the guidelines for choosing the inflation factor.

The selection of proposed sites for the general logistic center of agriculture products would be made the most suitable place by considering the spread of population as real consumers, the prospect of the demand, the expansion of traffic system, the regional, hourly and carring traffic volume and the use of land based urban planning, etc. As the preconsideration, the possible occupant companies have to be selected on the category of business and the district. After posing questions and having interview, several selected regions would be compared and analysed for deciding the most suitable place. The model for the general logistic center of agricultural products must be selected taking key factors approach for choosing key factors at first and referring to many documentary records. And the more, cooperating with the specialists for location selection and making objective questions to concerned companies, the most suitable place is selected by marking high score for the moderate land cost, the low traffic jam, the connection with the back cities and the possible expansion as the general logistic center of agriculture products.

Due to the explosive growth of smartphone use, new type and format of business opportunity is being created. Despite the creation of added value using smartphone is very important, the past study on smart phone has been mainly focused on its functions and specifications. This study is intended to identify the factors that influence continuance usage intention of smartphone and to analyze the relationship between such factors and the expected confirmation. satisfaction, and usage intention. The result of this empirical study indicates that the perceived enjoyfulness and quality significantly affect users' expected confirmation and satisfaction, and social influence also affects users' continuance usage intention. Thus, it implies users place a high value on enjoyfulness and quality in using smartphone application and on social influence in choosing specific application. Finally this paper provides a detailed account of how customers accept smartphone application and their perceived characteristics affect the usage intention.

We introduce the systematization design method using similarity theory which is profitable in the compatability, the reduction of construction time and price. The design method can make us predict the characteristic experiment for the magnitude we desire as the expression equation applied continuously. We can induce the design sample the user demand with the verification of the data on optimum design previously. Therefore, in case of designing and developing the products, systematization design method is very useful for the standardization of the developed goods, compatability, the reduction of construction time and price. In this paper, we presented the analogical algorithms of systematization design using similarity theory, design factors and processing method of the restriction factors. Also, we analyzed the output voltage in terms of input voltage and displacement as choosing a differential transformer as the model.

This study investigates the factors determining accounting method for R&D costs (capitalizevs. expense) in Korea. Using agency theory and other economic factors, probit and regression model have been developed to distinguish between firms choosing different accounting alternatives for R&D costs. The results are consistent to debt contract, R&D burden and regulation hypotheses both in probit and regression analysis. The size variable has opposite sign in univariate t-test and probit analysis, which may be due to the differences of political environment between Korea and the US. Generally, the results are consistent to those of previous research. The evidence suggests that larger firms with higher leverage and larger burden of R&D costs are more likely to capitalize R&D costs, while regulated firms are more likely to expense R&D costs.

Recently residential-commercial buildings are being built more like residential-oriented apartments and also as deluxe residential houses targeting at the high-income bracket that is seeking for high Qualify of life. The important factors to provide a pleasant environment for residential-commercial buildings are both common space shared by occupants and the quality of service and the conveniences. These have already become prominent as important factors when choosing a residence. This research manipulates the characteristics of commonly shared space, being an important factor of amenity, in the residential-commercial buildings recently built for sale so that a reference to planning of common space in residential-commercial buildings can be provided for the future.

Recently increasing amount of efforts has been devoted to the improvement of logistics in the marine products industry. Yet, few studios have been conducted on the development of site selection models of marine products centers. This paper Proposes a systematic assessment model for the decision making, which is composed of a set of evaluation criteria and an appropriate evaluation method. In choosing criteria we consider completeness and comprehensiveness to reach a right solution. For more flexibility of the model in the future, this study proposes two sets of criteria according to the size of planned centers. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is adopted in this study, since the criteria incorporate both subjective factors and objective factors and the AHP is known effective in the situation. This study then illustrates the model application with plausible alternatives. Finally, a dependency problem in the decision criteria is discussed and the Analytic Network Process (ANP) is recommended, in the context, as e solution method.

The evaluation of port competition could be applied to determining the selection of a calling port. A few fundemental attributes of port competition were adapted by the 'brain storming' method. The criteria used for evaluating a port's competitiveness were as follows: efficiency of port operations, competitive power of each port's industry, economic activity of the hinderland associated with each port and capability of globalization. The weight of each criterion was 30%, 40%, 20% & 10%, respectively. And the most important factors that were considered in choosing each of the above criteria were profitability, port information system, cargo volume & inducement of foreign capital. The results of this study seemed to suggest that factors which influence port competition varied according to port circumstances, such as computer and communication systems and access to the global trade within the World Trade Organization
