We came to the conclusion after considering all the information from many kinds of books on the circulation courses, cross-link points, functions and the symptoms of disease of Chongmai. The results were as follows : 1. The Chongmai that starts from a Uterus flows to Dazhu through the inside of vertebra after joining Renmai and Duimai at Huiyin. The Chongmais up-line that comes out from Qichong into a surface of body arrives and is scattered at a chest through an abdomen. One strand of them goes upward again and is connected to a throat and lips area. After coming out from Qichong, separated down-line is divided into two parts when it arrives a inner part of a heel through the inner part of a leg. One is for an instep, the other is for the sole of a foot. 2. We call it "Sea of Twelve Meridians" or "Meridian's Sea". Because Chongmai controls all of Meridian by acquired "Basic energy" as getting Stomach's energy, Kidney's energy and air-energy, and there are responsible of physiological phenomenon control. And also we name it "Sea of Blood", because it starts from and provides a nutrition to Uterus. 3. All of these four Meridian such as Renmai, Kidney Meridian, Stomach Meridian and Spleen Meridian are ones that flow around the part of a chest and an abdomen. Chongmai makes energy and blood circulation of a chest and an abdomen be stronger and be controlled. Therefore it makes viscera, bowels and body surface be warm and given a nutrition. So Chongmai becomes "Sea of Viscera and Bowels". 4. Chongmai provides a nutrition for ligament and muscle and makes legs get warm as making energy and blood circulate from head to foot. If Chongmai is energetic, hair is completely easy to grow. 5. To see in pathological phase, Chongmais failure or weakness causes like a chest pain, stomachache, heart attack, a menstrual irregularity and sterility and so on. And also if Chongmai is damaged, it happens that giving a nutrition for lips area is stopped, and then mustache doesn't grow any more.

Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to find the corresponding pathological situation of the Renmai(任脈), Dumai(督脈), and Chongmai(衝脈) at the Cun(寸), Guan(關), Chi(尺) pulse positions using the Qikoujiudaomai diagnostic method in order to find the pathological pattern of the Eight Extra Meridians. The pulse positions are divided into nine parts, using a three dimensional surface-middle-bottom concept. Methods : Relevant contents in classical texts such as the Maijing, Qijingbamaikao, Zabingyuanliuxizhu, Maiyijianmo were examined, along with previous studies on the topic. The findings were that the Renmai, Dumai, Chongmai examination of the Qikoujiudaomai manifested as floating, tight, firm patterns in the Cun, Guan, Chi positions. Results & Conclusions : n terms of the Renmai, the converging and fast Qi manifested in the three positions as a tight pattern; in the Dumai, the extended and scattering Qi manifested in the three positions as a floating pattern; in the Chongmai, the excessive, solid and full Qi manifested in the three positions as a firm pattern. Once the pathological qi overflows in the 12 meridians, disease happens in the Eight Extra Meridians. As such, disease in the Renmai, Dumai, Chongmai were connected to the main meridians as three branches from one root. Through this study, it could be concluded that diagnosis and acupuncture treatment through the Qikoujiudaomai method is possible.

According to the literatural study on the utility of TaeWonEum, the results were as follows 1. TaeWonEum is the prescription originally registered on Zang jie Bin's ${\ll}$Jing-Yue-Quan-Shu${\gg}$ and because of the dificiency of the renmai, the chongmai in women, it is made for the discomfort of the pregnancy 2. On the treatment of miccarriage, they were used to the methods of tonificating qi and blood, tonificating insufficiency, making flesh, eliminating wind, tonificating the spleen, clearing heat, eliminating stagnant blood, tonificating blood, growing zhang qi, etc but it is almostly used to the method of tonificating qi and blood 3. TaeWonEum is used on the purposes of tonificating the spleen and stomach, qi and blood, on the case of both the discomfort of the pregnancy by the dificiency of the renmai, the chongmai in women, and the insufficiency of fetal growth by the difficiency of the spleen and stomach, qi and blood 4. The symptoms can be used which are the fetal problem of incipient pregnancy, quickening, lumbago, distension, pallor, weakness of the mind, dizziness, cold, anorexia 5. The additional methods of TaeWonEum are as follows when much turbid enuresis is concerned, Disscoreae Rhizoma, Psoraleae Fructus, Schizandrae Fructus can be added when a patient is very difficient of qi, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma is doubled and Astragali Radix can be added when a patient is often vomiting with asthenia-cold, Typhae Pollen can be added when a patient has fever and weak, Scutellariae Radix or Rehmanniae Radix can be added and E ucommiae Cortex can be subtracted when a patient has the colicky pain because of the difficiency of yin, Lycii Fructus can be added when a patient is at a great rage and qi is ascenting, Cyperi Rhizoma or Amomi Fructus can be added when a patient has hemorrage with trauma, Dipsaci Radix, Asini Gelatinum can be added when a patient's vomiting can not be reduced, Pinelliae Rhizoma, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens can be added

As a result of studing on the "Joa-gui Em", we could reach conclusions as follows. 1. "Joa-gui Em" shows in vivo effect of that it supplement Kidney-Um essence and nomalize a physiological function of Kidney-Qi. 2. "Joa-gui Em" supplement Kidney-Um essence, it does not use in The Rise of Insubstantial Fire(음허화왕) body condition. 3. "Joa-gui Em" use in many ways women disease, in case of menstruation and meonpause disorder. 4. "Joa-gui Em" and "Joa-gui Hwan" are modification prescription of "Uk-mi-ji-hwang-hwan. 5. "Joa-gui Em" is a pure prescription in supplement Kidney-Um essence, Roast Glycyrrhizae Radix of prescription has effect of supplement Sam-cho Qi. 6. "Joa-gui Hwan" is similarly "Joa-gui Em." Colla Cornus Cervi and a Colla Cornus Glemmys of prescription have effect of supplement DUMAI and RENMAI CHONGMAI.
