The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of moral textbooks in Chinese elementary school with a multicultural perspective. This can be seen as a plan to prevent conflicts due to migrants in our society. Therefore, the importance of multicultural education in moral education were discussed. And then the contents of Chinese primary moral textbooks(grade 1) was critically analyzed according to content areas. As China was composed of 56 ethnics, the culture of domestic ethnic minority should be understood primarily. As a research result, the educational contents were primarily composed of children's daily lives and social norms which citizens should be abided by. The contents of textbooks do not reflect the feature of china as a typical multi-ethnic society. This can be seen that the Chinese moral education in primary school focuses on social integration. Therefore, we emphasize that the educational contents should be reconstructed with a multicultural perspective. And we hope our research can contribute to recognize and respect the differences between various nations and form a mutually beneficial relationship.

This study was to compare 'experiment' presentation types of middle school science textbooks of Korea, Japan, and China and to draw some implication for the improvement of Korean science textbooks. It analyzed the experiments from the unit 'Light' of science textbooks which is common content in all three different science textbooks. The researchers analyzed the experiments with two questions. First, how is the experiment organized? Second, what role does each element of the experiment is playing in the experiment setting? The findings of international comparative analysis of experiment presentation types of middle school science textbooks of three countries were as follows. First, the Korean and Chinese textbooks tended to present the experiments without enough information for the experimental process and method, whereas the Japanese textbook tended to present the experiment with detailed information for the experimental method and process. Second, whereas the Korean and Chinese textbooks tended to have a loosened relationship among pre-experimental content, experiment, after-experiment content, the Japanese textbook tended to have an organic relationship among pre-experimental content, experiment, after-experiment content.
This study aims to select eight books to see if "potential complement" is sufficiently acquired and properly used in Chinese conversation textbooks, explore the reasons and problems of learners' errors through analysis, and briefly suggest textbook compilation and teaching. Twelve criteria were established and analyzed, including the concept and format of "potential complement", layout order, location of objects, three types of forms, distinction from auxiliary verb "能" and distinction between "能+V+結果補語". Some of the results of the study are simply as follows. All eight textbooks focus only on "possibility," missing an important part of "the impact of objective conditions" that the term "potential complement" does not contain. This is certainly enough to cause confusion for learners. A poor understanding of the concept of "potential complement" results in identifying it with the possible auxiliary verb "能", and incorrect mixing because it does not know exactly what the difference is. Most of the textbooks compiled in China place a high importance on "potential complement". This means that Chinese people often use "potential complement" in real life. on the other hand relatively Korean textbooks do not deal with "potential complement" relatively importantly.
This paper makes a comparative analysis of and (Third Edition) textbook. In the introduction part, it puts forward the purpose, significance and research object of the text, combs the general situation of the research on the arrangement of business Chinese textbook, discusses the concept and characteristics of business Chinese, and then makes a detailed comparative analysis of and Two Business Textbooks for Korean and Chinese. Firstly, the paper compares the compiling principles, compiling purposes and applicable objects. Then, it compares the text content, vocabulary selection, grammar teaching, culture and other aspects. Business Chinese has more international teaching ideas and diversified teaching methods in textbook editing, while the former is more targeted in different countries, reflecting more contents of cultural comparison between China and Korea in textbook content. we hope to find a reasonable plan for the compilation of Korean business Chinese textbooks.

The Chinese Geography Standards for Senior Secondary Schools(trial) was released in 2003. The Standards put forward some changes for senior geography education, the changes in geographical education are reflected explicitly and implicitly by the textbooks. The purpose of this descriptive study was to review of the improvement of Chinese senior geography education by analyzing contents organization and coherence of the new standards-based geography experimental textbooks. The results of study are as follows. The textbooks adopts a student-centered approach through the way of 'more chapter topics with slimmed contents' and by introducing four type activities, geographical inquiries. These student activities are implicity encourages students' active acquisition of geographical knowledge what they have learned in their real lives. The organic coherence of the textbooks' contents rests on the compulsory and the elective subject relating to diversification of the learning areas. The organic coherence between the compulsory and the elective subject rests on diversification of the learning areas. More, looking at the arrangement of the four basic concepts(population, resource, environment, sustainable development) among the textbooks, it was imbalanced by subject.
Under the consideration of Chinese math education tradition and new educational orientation, we compared and analyzed Korea and China's lower-grade elementary school textbooks. The result was that Chinese textbook puts much emphases on practice, skill and repetition, presents condensed contents, provides various learning contents simultaneously, rich humorous expressions, and a lot of implicit representations. From these results, we presented some implications for our mathematics education, future textbook writing, and the follow-up studies.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the chinese chemistry terminology in chemistry unit of 7th grade science textbooks in 7th curriculum and find relationship between student understanding and difficulty index for chinese preferred students and non-chinese preferred students. The chinese terminology in 7th curriculum was reduced less than that of 6th curriculum but still was over 70%. Students had difficulties in understanding of abstract terminologies and science terms but thought easily the concrete, common terminologies. The tendency of student understanding was similar to that of difficulty index. For chinese chemistry terminology, understanding of chinese preferred students was higher than that of non-chinese preferred students. For easily translated chemistry terminology, there was no significant difference but both were showed the improved understanding. Therefore student understanding should be improved in science if science textbooks would be written by easily translated chemistry terminology.

There has been a need for an operational curriculum for teaching Chinese characters used by traditional Korean medicine (TKM), but the it was not thoroughly reviewed so far. We analysed the frequency of unicode Chinese characters with five textbooks of traditional Korean medicine used as a national standard. We found that 氣, 經, 陽, 陰, 不, 熱, 血, 脈, 病, 證, 寒, 中, 心, 痛, 虛, 大, 生, 治, 本, 之 are the 20 most frequently used Chinese characters, and also showed 100 frequently used characters for each textbook. We used a cumulative frequency analysis method to suggest a list of 1,000 prerequisite Chinese characters for the TKM education (TKM 1000). which represents the current usage of Chinese characters in TKM and covers 99% of all textbook use if combined with MEST 1800. This study showed prerequisite and essential Chinese characters for the implementation of evidence-based teaching in TKM. The TKM 1000, a prerequisite characters by this study based on the TKM textbooks can be used for the development of Korean Medicine Education Eligibility Test (KEET), entrance exam to the Colleges of Oriental Medicine or textbooks, and educational curriculum for premed students.
This paper aims to examine distribution and patterns of Women(我們) on Chinese conversation textbook, and also suggest that Chinese class need to impose pragmatic perspective. For this purpose, this paper explores 35 Womens in 42 conversation units on three Chinese textbooks Hanyu Kouyu vol.1~3 at first. Women is more contributed on 'exclusive Women' among three categories (inclusive, exclusive, borrowed) than other two categories, is also contributed on 'symbolic usage' than 'gestural usage'. Second, this paper examines patterns of Women on the three categories. It shows: first, 'inclusive Women', 'exclusive Women', 'borrowed Women' all show up on the textbooks even though on the textbook vol.1(for beginner) surprisingly; Second, 'exclusive Women' may be a primary one of three categories in terms of the coverage of Women. Women covers those who are related with the speaker regardless of being on the spot, and also covers those which the speaker belongs to, for example, nationality, ethnicity etc. Consequently, the results show that Chinese speaking course, from now on, needs to consider pragmatic factors including existing semantic and syntactic factors, and from the pragmatic perspective, impose 'action'(including speech act, body gesture etc.) on Chinese conversation class for the learners' improvement in Chinese speaking.
The Hanja used in Korean are traditional Chinese characters, but what Chinese people use now is simplified characters. So, there are differences in pronunciation and meaning between the characters used by Korean and Chinese. More than 70% of the Korean language vocabulary derived from or were influenced by hanja. For the inheritance and development of traditional culture, and for the communication among countries of the Chinese characters cultural circle in Northeast Asia, should we build up an authentic Chinese education system. But the government hasn't pay much attention to this work, and the government's policy can't implement the efficient education. Consequently, in these days, there are more and more Korean people who are functionally illiterate in Chinese. Recently, proficiency tests of Chinese characters are expected to promote the development of Chinese education. But, most Koreans' motives for Chinese study are usually to pass the college entrance exam or to compete for jobs. However, after passing the test, the motive for studying gradually fade away. It is the basic problem faced by Korean Chinese character education. Since the 1950s, various character education methods have been studied in China, the research results were appliedin their textbooks and other materials. Therefore, a well-organized and efficient learning-by-step education system was built up. At present, China's literacy education in the textbooks utilizes a range of methods including revisional centralized and distributed. Unfortunately, there is still one shortcoming worthy of concerns: how to solve the problems due to the simplification of traditional Chinese characters? Is it possible to revive traditional Chinese characters? Before adopting the results of research on China's literacy education and applying them to our character education, we should consider our specific situation carefully. Adopting the research results with cautious review and objective criticism should have a positive impact on Korean Chinese character education.
