  • This paper uses the sensibility engineering method to find the model of automobile most appealing to buyers in the $4^{th}$ and $5^{th}$ tier cities of China. Samples of class A & A0 cars were shown to 96 subjects in those cities to investigate their responses in relation to the concepts 'modern' and 'smart'. The result shows that even though men tend to be more sensitive to automobile models in general than women are, both genders showed similar responses to specific models when they were asked to identify a model 'magnificent', 'modern', 'lively', 'smart' or 'cute'. This implies that despite the gender differences in terms of aesthetic sensitivity, both men and women share similar taste in relation to the appearance of cars. Apart from aesthetics, however, men tend to pay a greater attention to the details of design and material used for the cars, while women tend to pay attention to higher priced and better looking cars.

  • Purpose - As overseas direct purchase transactions using e-commerce increase, the scale and scope of international trade are diversified, and the transaction volume using online platforms in e-commerce is increasing. The e-commerce market share will become more important because it is not only a medium connecting B2C, but also because it will expand the scope of trade. This study aims to reveal the factors that influence purchase intention according to Korean-Chinese consumers in e-commerce. In addition, the study has comprehensively confirmed the influence between each factor in the e-commerce environment by integrating and analyzing the characteristic factors of online information sources and platforms in one structural equation. Finally, the study confirmed that there is a significant difference in the influence relationship between Korean and Chinese consumers. Through this, the study will contribute to content production in the e-commerce market according to the target market and the expansion of the mutual entry of Korea and China. Design/methodology - This study aims to confirm the mediating effect of the details of the online information source characteristics and platform characteristics when the perceived quality affects purchase intention. It is confirmed that the factors affecting Korean and Chinese consumers differ. Findings - It was confirmed that differences exist according to the group of Korean or Chinese consumers for the entire research model. In the case of Korean consumers, the mediating factors when perceived quality affects purchase intention are expertise, reliability, entertainment, informativity, and convenience; in the case of Chinese consumers, the factors are expertise and informativity. Originality/value - This study proved that Korean and Chinese consumers cannot be regarded as having the same characteristics, and therefore, strategies aimed at each e-commerce market should be differentiated. In addition, although previous studies on online information sources and platform characteristics were not integrated, this study confirmed a significant influence relationship among the factors that could affect purchase intention in the actual e-commerce environment.

  • This paper uses social network theory and the internationalization process model (IPM) to determine how external network linkages influence the location choices of multinational enterprise from emerging economies (EMNEs); specifically, whether past alliance experience influences location choices and its impact on the subsequent entry of MNEs from emerging economies. This paper applies survival analysis using initial and secondary investments from 2,000 Chinese A-share listed companies that entered 90 countries between 1997 and 2018 to analyze both the initial and subsequent entries of Chinese outward foreign direct investments (OFDIs) in major host countries. The findings indicate that an MNE's previous experience with a company from a particular country will increase the likelihood of an initial investment in that country. Previous alliance experience may accelerate the foreign investment process of EMNE and stimulate firms making a commitment to a position in a foreign network, regardless of cultural distance and stage of internationalization. Alliance before initial investment may increase the likelihood and speed of entering a host country as wholly owned subsidiaries and that network linkages not only significantly influence the internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises, as indicated by the IPM, but also that of large listed firms.

  • In China, the government has aggressively led the construction and expansion of airports across China. Upon this opportunity, "Korea-China" network is expected to expand. Therefore this study tried to deduce implications for Incheon International Airport by expansion of "Korea-China" traffic rights. As a result of analyzing the exchange values of traffic rights on the "Incheon~Beijing/Chengdu" routes, it was found that there is a concern that Chinese airlines could make inroads into Korean airline's market. In both routes, Korean airline's market share and passenger demand increased while the sales decreased after expanding traffic rights. On the other hand, Chinese airlines showed an increase in sales and a larger passenger growth than Korean airlines. Therefore it is necessary for the government to expand the traffic rights through detailed route value analysis.

  • Economic evaluation methodologies for railway investments of China and Korea are comparatively analyzed. Chinese procedures specified in the new economic evaluation manual of 1997 were compared with those of Korea based on the economic evaluation manual of 1982. As expected those procedures reflect general economic requirements of the respective countries. Several differences in the specification are also noted. Details of the specification of Chinese procedure far exceed Korean specification, while Korean manual is rich of explanation on the fundamental theory. Differences in the procedure of calculating benefits of investments are most conspicuous, and specific requirements of carrying out a optimum opening year analysis in Korean procedure is notable. Despite of these differences in the procedure, two methodologies share same objective of ensuring selection of economically and financially sound railway projects. Both procedures of China and Korea, however, limit their evaluation scope on railways alone. Therefore, they are needed to expand scope of evaluation to encompass the idea of multi-modal or inter-modal evaluation, which will eventually contribute to build truly efficient national comprehensive transportation system.

  • Nowaday, in Vietnam there are two types of medical services which have coexisted. These are Western medicine or Tay Y and Eastern medicine or Dong Y (this is also known as Oriental medicine). Dong Y is includes Chinese traditional medicine (TCM) or Thuoc Bac and Vietnamese traditional medicine (TVM) or Thuoc nam. In its’ history, Vietnam was dominated by feudal China in more than 1000 years, so that Vietnamese people was impacted much by Chinese thought, culture and medicine of course. Traditional Chinese and Traditional Vietnamese Medicine differ in practice, though they share the same theoretical foundation. Their relationship can be observed by the influence of TCM theories on the TVM which are Yin and Yang, Five Elements. In practice, TCM practitioners usually spend more time giving their patients a sort of theoretical explanation of what's going on, whereas TVM practitioners would use a more practical approach and concentrate less on theory. TVM was popular in common life of working people, generally using ingredients readily available nearby and involving a minimum of processing. Most knowledge was passed unselfconsciously from one generation to the next. It can be said that Vietnamese people are based on theories of TCM and available tropical plant sand animals native to Vietnam to built and develop TVM with it’s own character. The following are some plants are using in normal life of Vietnamese people as food or drink with well-being effect(1,2).

  • The purpose of the study is to figure out the difference in preference of clothes between Korean and Chinese female college students, who share similar ethnic traits despite having different sociocultural backgrounds and environment, and see the differences in their body image and body satisfaction. The questionnaire-based survey for the study was conducted for about a month and a total of 449 copies of the questionnaire were collected for the final research. For the research method, we examined the differences in clothes preference and fit between Korean and Chinese students, and then the corresponding differences in body image and body satisfaction. The result showed significant differences in the categories of skirt length, pants length, upper garment fit, and lower garment fit. Korean students preferred slim fit clothes, while their counterparts preferred natural fits. A comparison of body image between Korean and Chinese female students showed that the Korean students had lower body satisfaction levels, and viewed themselves as fat even though they were slimmer than their counterparts. The conclusion of the analysis was that compared to Korean students the Chinese students pursued a more comfortable and casual style, preferring unique and diverse designs instead of simply following a fashion trend.
